    Woman kidnaps ex-husband after he re-marries, demands ransom from family

    A woman has been arrested in Yemen on the charges of kidnapping, her husband after he re-married,Gulf News Has reported. As per media reports, the woman alsot tortured and demanded ransom from the family of her ex-husband.

    The man, identified as Mubarak Sultan, was allegedly kidnapped by Taghred Ghalib, on February 7 in Yemen’s south west province of Taiz, according to an unverified police statement posted on the Internet.

    Sultan was abducted while strolling down the street with the help of the woman’s brothers and transported to an unknown location.

    The woman while confessing her crime said, “Yes!” I have kidnapped and tortured him to take my frustration out.” She added that she has shared the pictures of her severely injured ex-husband’s body to set an example.

    She further said that her ex-husband lied, cheated and shared her pictures online and leaked private conversations.

    Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza has said that her loved ones have always given her a space to grow and be herself.

    During a conversation with Abish Mathew of WhatsApp-sponsored amusement ‘The Inner Circle’, Sania said that at a time when she started playing tennis, not many people could dream of playing the sport. “Therefore, it captured everyone’s imagination.”

    The tennis ace took to Instagram on Wednesday and shared a clip from the interview, which was aired last week, in which she said that she is very proud of being a sportswoman as she has inspired a lot of girls to opt for sport as a full-time profession.

    Speaking about a support system, she said that for years, whenever she won or lost a match, she always messaged her mother and her sister, Anam Mirza, who was also invited to the show.

    “It wouldn’t be a long message [but I always contacted them after a match]” said Sania. “I have been very, very fortunate that I have a family that has supported me through everything — through every decision of mine on and off the court.”

    She said that knowing that her family, including her mother, sister, father, and her husband, are there for her always gave her a sense of comfort before she stepped onto the court.

    Sania also spoke about motherhood and said that it was because of her son, Izhaan Mirza-Malik, that she decided to play tennis again.

    “I wanted him to be proud when he understands that his mother didn’t give up on her dreams after she had a baby,” she said. “Also, many people told me I can’t do it, so I had to [show them I can].

    Earlier, she took to Instagram to share a video in which she said my son wanted me to “bring him the trophy” and she got him the trophy.

    The all-rounder took to his Instagram and posted a video with a caption: “Feels great to be back home. Thanks begum for the lovely welcome.” He can be seen celebrating his return home with his kids on the lawn outside his house, decorated with hundreds of rose petals.

    Afridi can be seen standing next to his little girls, the youngest in his arms, clearly happy at the welcome that was waiting for him.

    Afridi-led Rawalakot Hawks on Tuesday defeated the Muzaffarabad Tigers by seven runs to win the final of the KPL at the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium.

    Model Nayab Nadeem’s stepbrother confesses to murdering her for ‘honour’

    Lahore police has arrested model Nayab Nadeem’s stepbrother, Muhammad Ali for allegedly killing her in the name of honour, Geo News reported. 

    Nayab, 29, was found murdered at her residence on July 11. According to the police forces, she was strangled to death after being tortured.

    During the initial investigations the suspect had confessed to murdering his stepsister, also the evidence collected from the scene of the crime confirmed his involvement.

    The police sources said that fingerprint samples from the door of the model’s residence matched with those of her stepbrother’s, indicating that he was the only one who had been at her residence that day.

    Ali was the first one to have found her body and reported the incident to the police. The suspect allegedly stripped the victim of her clothes so that police would think it was a rape-and-murder crime.
