    Actor Mohsin Abbas Haider refuses to pay child support after public divorce

    Singer and actor Mohsin Abbas Haider, who went through a very public divorce from his former wife, anchor Fatema Sohail, has refused to provide childcare for his son.

    Fatema has filed a petition in a family court, asking that Mohsin pay for child support for his son.

    Mohsin has refused to do so, saying that, “I was previously paying for the expenses of Fatema and my son,” he said. “But I can’t pay for them anymore because I don’t have a job or money,” and that he was going through a “financial crunch”.

    The couple went through a public separation and divoce in July last year

    The hearing has been adjourned till next week.

    Mohsin was a co-host of Dunya TV’s Mazakaraat and was fired after his wife accused him of beating her up and cheating on her. She filed a case against him, saying he was threatening to kill her and had stolen money from her family. Both Mohsin and Fatema swore on The Holy Quran, stirring a debate on whether anyone should use The Holy Book to prove their point.

    In August last year a lower court in Lahore found Mohsin guilty of threatening his former wife.

    However, celebrities who protested
    against the actor during the time of domestic abuse allegations have not
    commented on the matter yet. While the last project Mohsin was seen working in
    was Deewar-e-Shab, following which he did not appear anywhere and was
    also fired from Mazaaq Raat.

    On the other hand, Fatima Sohail is all ready to come on TV. She also posted her picture on Instagram telling her followers that something big is coming.

    Fatima and her husband were involved in
    a domestic dispute in which she charged Mohsin for domestic violence. Fatima
    Sohail came out about her abusive relationship with the actor and how he had
    mistreated her when she was married to the actor. 

    The two registered the case in court and
    Fatima was granted a divorce. After the divorce, both parties are ready to
    start afresh and turn over a new leaf in their lives. While Mohsin Abbas is
    making a comeback with his music, Fatima Sohail will be appearing on TV

    Mohsin Abbas Haider expresses joy after Fatima Sohail files for khula

    After a long battle on social media, Fatima Sohail, the estranged wife of actor-singer Mohsin Abbas Haider has filed for khula in a family court in Lahore.

    According to reports, Fatima made her case on grounds of domestic abuse and infidelity. Fatima requested to the court to approve her plea for khula and issue a decree in the matter.

    Meanwhile, Mohsin took to social media to express his joy on this development.

    In an explosive account posted to social media on July 21 Fatema had come forward with accusations of cheating and domestic abuse against the actor-singer. Fatema alleged that in November 2018, she caught Mohsin cheating on her and when she confronted him, “instead of being embarrassed he started beating” her even though she was pregnant at that time. Luckily her child survived and Fatema said that she moved past the incident for the sake of her child. She continued that her childbirth was a complicated process but Mohsin never supported her and was instead, busy having an affair with an emerging model, Nazish Jahangir.

    On August 28, a lower court in Lahore found Mohsin guilty of threatening his wife.
