    From Karachi to Cannes: Pakistani animation debuts with ‘The Chronicles of Umro Ayyar’

    ‘The Chronicles of Umro Ayyar.’
    The film, which is categorized as an adventure fantasy, draws inspiration from the epic story of Tilism e Hoshruba. As he journeys through time and fantastical worlds, the story narrates the exciting exploits of the fabled trickster hero ‘Umro Ayyar.’

    In addition to the animated movie, Ingenuity Productions is developing the 3D animation series ‘Science Voyagers’ in which a curious child sets out on time-traveling escapades to meet the greatest scientists in history.
    ‘Umro Ayyar’is directed by Syed Arsalan Ali and Haris Bashrat. The story is written by Zafar Abdullah, BinMasoodFarid and Talha Abdur Rahim.
    Haris Basharat who is also the proudcer of ‘Umro Ayyar, said, “We aim to showcase the Pakistani animation industry’s potential globally. We believe that the film’s impressive visuals and storyline will engage audiences worldwide,”

    The search for genuine connection and overcoming selfishness, however, is a deeper message that cuts through the fantasy veneer and speaks to audiences of all ages. The path taken by ‘Umro Ayyar’ turns becomes a monument to the strength of forming relationships that cut over barriers of race, gender, class, age, and personality.

    Furthermore, the business is recognized for creating two 2D animated series: Yolki and Hatch, which centers on early development, and Aria and the Magic Jungle, which emphasizes environmental awareness.

    Hollywood team visits Pakistan to shoot film on country’s culture

    Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Wednesday that the production of a Hollywood film on Pakistan’s culture will give people around the world an opportunity to know more about the country and highlight its soft and positive image.
    During a meeting with the members of the Hollywood production team visiting Pakistan to shoot an international film on Pakistani culture, the minister remarked that the film, produced by the Hollywood production team, would represent a significant milestone for the Pakistani film industry.

    Discussions were held regarding the great cultural heritage and history of the country. The minister also apprised the production team about the progress in the film industry in the country.
    Attaullah Tarar thanked the Hollywood production team, stating, “It is a big honour for our culture and people.”

    “Our history, literature, music, and art are unique and appreciated worldwide,”
    The minister said, “I believed that this film would give the world a new opportunity to see the beauty and diversity of Pakistan.
    He clarified the government’s efforts to revive the film industry while claiming that it was the only one in Pakistan to receive tax amnesty.

    Attaullah Tarar also said, “The film policy was reinstated during the previous term of the government led by Shehbaz Sharif.”

    . He said, “A film finance fund of rupees one billion was established in the 2022-23 budget, which has greatly benefited the film industry and its related sectors.”

    Additionally, the govt introduced medical insurance for artists and tax incentives for filmmakers, which has further boosted the industry. In the 2022-23 budget, the govt also granted a five-year tax exemption to filmmakers and a five-year income tax exemption on the establishment of new film-related businesses.

    In an interview, he said he wished for her to follow his footsteps. Nawazuddin and his wife have resolved their differences for the sake of their children.
    “I want for Shora to achieve her dreams. At 13-years-old, she’s ready to excel in the performing arts.”

    He added, “I’ve enrolled her in an acting school. If she chooses to pursue acting as a profession, I want her to be a skilled actress.”
    Nawazuddin also said that acting is an art, and he will always support her in every possible way.

    He said, “Scriptwiter Vijayendra Prasad has written two stories for me, including ‘Vikram Rokkudu 2’, the sequel to ‘Rowdy Rathore’ in Hindi. The story is complete, and now we are searching for a good cast.”
    However, it is uncertain if Akshay Kumar will take part in the sequel of Rowdy Rathore.

    Bajrani Bhaijaan was released in 2015 and starred Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

    The movie is about a man who helps a girl return to Pakistan. Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi, a devotee of the Hindu deity Hanuman, embarks on a journey to take a mute six-year-old Pakistani Muslim girl, Shahida, separated in India from her mother, back to her hometown.

    A Pakistani film, ‘Sometimes Even The Shore Drowns’ by Mahera Omar has won an award at a film festival in Kathmandu. The documentary got the best international special mention award at the 5th Nepal Cultural International Film Festival.

    The film celebrates the people and animals living near Karachi’s shore. Inspired by Rachel Carson’s book ‘The Edge of the Sea’ from 1955, ‘Sometimes Even The Shore Drowns’ (Kabhi Aisai Bhi Hota Hai Ke Kinare Doob Jate Hain) showcases Karachi’s coastal life.

    Set against the backdrop of life around mangrove forest creeks, busy boats and vessels, and sky that’s always changing, the film explores the delicate wetland ecosystem along the shores of an industrial city.

    Mahera’s earlier films have been screened in Pakistan and at global film festivals such as Film South Asia, Istanbul International Architecture and Urban Films Festival, and Delhi International Film Festival.
