How Hina Chaudhary found love and success against the odds

Actress Hina Chaudhary is one of those rare celebrities who successfully balance their careers with her role as a wife and mother.

In a recent interview with ‘Fuchsia Magazine,’ Hina disclosed that she was deeply involved in cricket during her college days. “Meri ammi ko ye pasand nahi tha kyun ke mein sara din dhoop me rehti thi. Aur phir logon ka meri ammi ko ye kehna kay larkon walay khel khail rahi hai, ye tou kaali hojaegi,” Hina said. Despite her mother’s concerns about her getting tanned and impacting marriage prospects, Hina’s dedication to cricket was unwavering.

She also discussed how she reignited her passion for acting during her university days by joining a dramatics club and becoming its president. This led to a challenging yet transformative period as she convinced her father to support her acting career. Initially resistant, her father eventually agreed after many discussions.

She shared valuable advice from her mother: “My mother told me something that I still remember. If you want to reach the top, you must complete every step. If you miss a step, you will fall and get hurt.” This advice has guided Hina throughout her career, motivating her to persist and succeed.

Hina also talked about her marriage to Ali, whom she met at university. Ali, an assistant professor, initially helped her with admission documents. Their relationship grew from a simple connection to a deep and supportive partnership as Ali continued to assist her with academic challenges.

Hina emphasized that love can diminish. “It is very important to have friendship in a relationship,” she pointed out. She highlighted that Ali’s progressive attitude and support have been crucial for her career. Ali encourages her acting ambitions and supports her through various challenges, including managing family responsibilities.

‘Writers should get training’: Sanam Saeed, Ali Kazmi

Apparently, there is a general consensus among viewers that Pakistan’s drama industry, though extremely successful, needs better writing. Many writers lack training, relying on natural talent alone, critics say, adding that it leads to repetitive stories and characters. To improve, writers need training to craft engaging stories.

The host of the interview ‘Fuchsia Magazine’ asked Actors Sanam Saeed and Ali Kazmi, where they talked about the industry’s neglect of drama films and the lack of visible efforts to enhance their quality.

The host asked, “Why isn’t the film industry focusing on the things that we’re trying to change, and why aren’t we seeing any efforts to improve those aspects?”

Ali Kazmi said, “That’s the problem, it’s become a dying art. There are very few writers now who are amazing. The rest, they have outsourced.”

Sanam Saeed elaborated, “Come on, even the films you are watching, one out of a hundred hits the chord. Most of what we see on OTT platforms is unwatchable, a waste of time. And then you find that one gem among the millions.”

Discussing the issue of training for writers, Sanam Saeed said , “It’s a universal issue, but in our country, the problem is the lack of training.” Ali Kazmi added, “Creative writing is a course in universities. We need writers who have done courses and can show us their skills.”

Ali Kazmi also shared his personal journey, saying, “I too went to Toronto Film School in the early 2000s because there wasn’t a film school here. I wanted to show my parents and my old PTV training that I am qualified in this field and moving forward.” Sanam Saeed concluded, “Actors want to go to Napa, writers want to go to Karachi Film School or take online courses from their favorite writers abroad.”

Sanam Saeed and Ali Kazmi are currently starring in films like ‘Umro Ayyar’ which is now screening in cinemas.

Ali Kazmi is the son of two well-known actors, Rahat Kazmi and Sahira Kazmi.

  • Falling in love with a friend is the most beautiful thing: Gohar Rasheed

In a recent interview with ‘FUCHSIA Magazine’, well-known actor Gohar Rasheed said that he thinks falling in love with a best friend is the most wonderful feeling.

He explained that in his view, respect and friendship matter more in a relationship than the usual romantic stuff shown in movies.

“I’ll be honest. After a few years of being married or in a relationship, often – I’m not saying always – but usually, love fades away. This happens because of dealing with practical stuff, responsibilities, and personal issues of both people involved.”

He continued, “The two most crucial things in a relationship are respect and friendship. Mutual respect is vital, and having a friendship bond ensures that the relationship lasts a lifetime.”

“On the other side, if it’s a very traditional, movie-style love, it comes with a bunch of unrealistic expectations that are only good for the big screen. In real life, it’s not very practical and doesn’t last long,” explained the actor.

The star stuck to his idea that friendship is crucial in a relationship and added, “I need to be open and talk about anything with my partner, which is only possible if we’re friends. Usually, in typical boyfriend-girlfriend relationships, one person has to hide a lot of things.”

“So if you fall in love with your friend, nothing beats that. And when love, respect, and friendship all come together, life has to be amazing,” he concluded.
