‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ hit the right chords with entertainment and messaging

One of the reasons the drama ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ is enjoyable is Sharjeena’s down-to-earth character. When Mustafa refuses to help her, she doesn’t cry. Instead, she accepts it and moves on, making the best of things. This makes her very admirable.

Mustafa seems to be changing slowly. Sometimes, he shows signs of caring for her. The drama nicely shows how he is gradually noticing her presence in his life, and she is becoming part of his thoughts.

Mustafa impresses Sharjeena with his game development skills and helps her see things in a more relaxed way. He helps her be less serious and more fun.
Mustafa’s father’s support for Sharjeena is heartwarming, showing positive character. Sadly, he doesn’t show the same support to his wife, telling her to leave his house and ignoring her efforts.

Mustafa helping Sharjeena with the laundry and the scene with a lovely background score by the ‘AUR’ group gave the audience some romantic moments to enjoy. He helps her with the car, takes the blame for the accident, and brings in groceries, making Mustafa very likable. His playful teasing of Sharjeena is sweet.

They are getting to know each other slowly, not just falling in love immediately, which makes the story more enjoyable.

Adeel can’t believe Mustafa married Sharjeena. Like Rubab, we wonder what’s going on. Is he jealous of his brother, or just uncomfortable? He knows he can’t take Rubab for granted anymore. She won’t tolerate any nonsense from him. She was smart to point out that she hadn’t gone home until now.

The next episode of ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ captures the charm of Sharjeena and Mustafa’s growing bond with its heartfelt moments and genuine characters. As the drama unfolds, their sweet and evolving relationship offers a delightful escape, making it a standout show.

‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ offers a cute and enjoyable look at marriage. The show dives deep into human psychology to explain the actions and relationships of the characters, making it relatable and engaging.

Instead of the usual story of a couple in a marriage of convenience falling in love by chance, this drama takes a different route. Sharjeena confronts Mustafa about his commitment, insisting they make their marriage work. This highlights the importance of taking marriage seriously and not just going through the motions.

Mustafa’s irresponsible behavior is linked to his upbringing. The show explores how constant comparison and unrealistic expectations in childhood can leave lasting scars. This portrayal sheds light on the long-term effects of parenting on a child’s future.

Mustafa represents many young people who may not excel in academics but have other talents. The drama highlights unconventional career options like gaming, showing that these can be respectable and successful paths. It challenges societal norms and expectations about careers.

A very important message delivered in this drama is that parents and society often focus more on GPA than talent. There are many people with low GPAs but immense intelligence and talent. Such children should also be appreciated by their parents. In practical life, GPA is only necessary for advanced studies. In industries and companies, skilled people are what matter. “GPA doesn’t matter for a job.” This is what international companies seek from students: “Only skilled students.” The director beautifully portrayed this reality.

Mustafa’s need for recognition and care leads him to give his marriage a chance. The show beautifully demonstrates how genuine care, trust, and belief in one another can strengthen relationships. Sharjeena’s support for Mustafa, from arranging his interview clothes to encouraging him to tell his parents about his job, showcases true partnership and love.

Sharjeena’s newfound confidence is evident when she tells Mustafa she’ll mend his broken heart. The couple’s unique love language and Sharjeena’s push for Mustafa to accept their marriage bring a fresh perspective to romance. A heartfelt confrontation in the rain adds to their deepening bond.
Though the father is harsh with his wife, his care for Sharjeena is touching. He notices when she’s upset and appreciates her taking care of his medicines. This compassion adds a warm layer to the story.

Adeel enjoys his luxurious life with Rubab and her friends, but tensions are building. His false claim of always liking Rubab and her belief in it hints at future troubles. Rubab’s denial may lead to significant consequences.

PUBG addict found after stealing Rs65,000 from home

Majid Rehman, a 13-year-old boy addicted to playing the game PUBG, was found on Thursday after he went missing while purchasing groceries.

His father, Reham Mehmood, reported his son’s disappearance, stating that the boy left home with Rs65,000 rupees for monthly groceries but never returned.

Police registered a kidnapping case and began to search for him.

Rehman was found by a National Highways and Motorways Police (NH&MP) team in a vehicle during an inspection.

Apart from other items, the police found a PUBG character’s costume.

As Majid was questioned, he revealed that when he left home, he decided to hang out with his friends and spent the grocery money buying things that were of interest to him. He also talked about his liking for PUBG.

According to DSP Changezi, parents’ neglect towards their children results in such incidents.

PUBG is a widely played shooter game. However, it has been a part of several unfortunate or absurd incidents in Pakistan as well as around the world.

PUBG addicts, mainly children, have inflicted self-harm or harmed others. Some tend to run away from home. In extreme cases, players have committed suicide or shot people.

Boys from Nawan Kot and Kahna killed their family members in 2021 and 2022, respectively, under the the influence of the violent nature of the game. One boy even chased a member into the street while clad in the game’s character attire.

Similarly, children have committed suicide after losing the game or getting bullied for it.

Following several cases, the Lahore Police asked the higher authorities to ban the game.

The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) created the “Mohafiz” app through which one can search and share information of cases of underprivileged, homeless children who run away from their homes in Punjab.

Through the app, government institutions can also be reached in case of an emergency and citizens can report any disappearance or accidents involving children.

According to Express Tribune, hundreds of children are present in various centres of Punjab including the CPWB in Lahore.

  • PS5 goes portable: Sony introduces PlayStation Portal for on-the-go gaming

PS5 goes portable: Sony introduces PlayStation Portal for on-the-go gaming

Sony is set to introduce a new addition to its gaming lineup later this year with the official launch of the portable PlayStation device, the PlayStation Portal remote player.

This handheld gadget is designed to enable seamless streaming of PS5 games over Wi-Fi, boasting an impressive eight-inch LCD screen that supports a crystal-clear 1080p resolution at a smooth 60 frames per second. For eager gamers, the PlayStation Portal is anticipated to hit the market later this year, accompanied by a price tag of $199.99.

Hideaki Nishino, the senior vice president of platform experience at Sony Interactive Entertainment, elaborated on the innovative features of the PlayStation Portal. He emphasised that the device will facilitate a remote connection to the PS5 through Wi-Fi, granting players the convenience of swiftly transitioning between gaming on their PS5 and the PlayStation Portal.

With compatibility to play supported games installed on the PS5 console and the utilisation of the DualSense controller, the PlayStation Portal promises an immersive gaming experience beyond traditional boundaries.

Drawing design inspiration from Sony’s acclaimed PS5 DualSense controllers, the PlayStation Portal showcases prominent controllers on both sides. These controllers boast adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, ensuring that the gameplay experience mirrors the sensation of using a dedicated DualSense controller.

Beyond gaming, the PlayStation Portal extends its capabilities to media playback, offering a dedicated section on the homescreen that mirrors content from the PS5. However, it’s important to note that local execution of applications is not supported, making a Wi-Fi connection a prerequisite for usage.

Regrettably, the PlayStation Portal lacks Bluetooth functionality, which means that wireless headphones and Sony’s Pulse 3D headset cannot be paired with it. Instead, Sony has introduced the proprietary PlayStation Link wireless technology, designed to provide low-latency, lossless audio transmission. In response to this, Sony is also launching a range of wireless headsets and earbuds that are compatible with PlayStation Link technology.

Although these can be used with a PS5 through a USB adapter, there are indications that future PS5 models, potentially including a rumoured “Slim” version, could seamlessly integrate the PlayStation Link standard. Notably, third-party manufacturers will also have the opportunity to incorporate the PlayStation Link standard into their products. As a nod to versatility, the PlayStation Portal features a 3.5mm headphone jack to accommodate wired audio preferences.

Intriguingly, details regarding the battery size of the PlayStation Portal remain unconfirmed. This leaves us eagerly anticipating the announcement of its battery life, which is projected to be in the ballpark of the DualSense controller’s runtime—approximately seven to nine hours, according to sources.

The PlayStation Portal, previously codenamed Project Q, was unveiled under its official name in May. Although a specific release date remains undisclosed, the device is rumoured to make its market debut in November. As the anticipation builds, the PlayStation community can look forward to the upcoming launch of the PlayStation Portal, available at a competitive price of $199.99.

From streaming to gaming: Netflix starts testing games on TVs and computers

Netflix is expanding its gaming initiative by testing games on a wider range of devices, including TVs and computers, in addition to mobile phones. The initial testing is starting in Canada and the United Kingdom, with select subscribers getting to try out games on their TVs. Two games, “Oxenfree” and “Molehew’s Mining Adventure,” will be part of this test phase.

For TV gaming, the games will be available on devices from partners like Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, LG, Nvidia Shield, Roku, and Samsung Smart TVs. Notably absent is the Apple TV. More devices will be supported in the future.

Netflix recently launched an iPhone game controller app that connects to TV-based games through a QR code displayed on the Netflix app.

Gaming on PCs and Macs will use keyboard and mouse controls.

During the beta phase, Netflix aims to refine its game-streaming technology and improve the user experience.

According to Tech Crunch, Mike Verdu, Netflix’s VP of Games, emphasises the company’s excitement about expanding gaming to more devices while acknowledging the early stage of their gaming journey.

Netflix’s move into gaming was hinted at last year, along with the establishment of a gaming studio in Southern California.

Verdu clarifies that Netflix’s gaming approach differs from traditional platforms like PlayStation and Xbox, focusing on a unique business model for seamless gaming.

In the upcoming year, Netflix plans to launch a total of 40 games, with 16 from their in-house studios and 70 more in partnership with developers. Since starting in gaming in 2021, Netflix has already released 70 mobile titles.

  • Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its first-ever Windows PC with gaming GPU

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its first-ever Windows PC with gaming GPU

Xiaomi seems to be gearing up to enter yet another technological market. The Chinese juggernaut is most likely known for its smartphones, and some of you may be familiar with their line of laptops, but it now appears that at least a few Windows PCs are on the way.

According to gsmarena, the two designs were reportedly planned to be unveiled at the Xiaomi event on December 1. Due to Jiang Zemin’s passing as the former general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, the event has been postponed. It appears that two PC designs were still showed off to select folks a little early while we wait for a new date to be set.

Let’s begin with the stranger of the two. The Xiaomi Host Mini PC appears to be a small form factor (SFF) prototype that has been left in its most basic form. That is to say, the system in the image only has a 100W XM22AL5X PSU installed. The remainder of the hardware that will be included in the box hasn’t been revealed because it’s unlikely that Xiaomi will sell it as a barebones kit.

We can infer from the images that a Mini-ITX motherboard will support low-profile, half-height, up to dual-slot dedicated GPUs. Although we are unsure of how a dedicated GPU will function with the 100W power supply, it’s possible that it isn’t the final or only component in the setup.

The windows key and “M” key combination are illustrated on a bespoke plate that is attached to the back of the case. Perhaps Xiaomi intends to change the Windows key combination that generally dismisses all windows and replace it with a unique function. The mechanical switch that is mounted on the back of the Host Mini PC is another intriguing feature. Even though neither of us is certain what it does, the leaked Weibo images do show an accessory package that includes a keycap for the button in question, indicating that it is probably functional.

Now let’s go on to the other system, about which we know a lot more. It is a small PC with a form factor similar to the Mac Mini or Intel NUC. It will reportedly be powered by a 45W MD Ryzen 7 6800H APU with a Radeon 680M RDNA2 iGPU, 16GB of memory, and a 512GB SSD.

All you need for the job is a basic understanding of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or its equivalent in Google Drive and other open sources, aside from diligence and attention to detail. Of course, you also need to know how to use the internet.

The straightforward procedure of web scraping entails conducting online research for clients and compiling the results on a worksheet. Many businesses compile data about their target markets, including contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, websites, Linkedin and other social media profiles, etc.). They can now send business proposals, even ones that are personalised, to the appropriate recipient.

For this skill to be mastered, no college degree is necessary. In reality, data encoding allows even high school dropouts to support themselves.

    Creative writing

You can definitely earn a life writing if you have the talent for it. This is a talent that you begin developing in elementary school and just keep honing as you advance academically.

Therefore, by the time you earned your high school certificate, you ought to be able to write essays and other types of literary works without much difficulty.

After that, there are several ways to develop writing skills, like enrolling in classes, reading books and other materials, watching online tutorials, and, of course, writing. When you reach a particular level of expertise, you’ll find that there are many chances available to you online and even outside of the virtual environment.

    Proofreading and Editing

Of course, having writing skills is required for this position. It’s similar to how you cannot adjust a swimmer’s strokes if you do not yourself know how to swim properly.

Simply identifying and fixing grammatical, typographical, and spelling mistakes in someone else’s writing is proofreading.

On the other hand, editing may entail rewriting sentences or even paragraphs to increase readability, eliminate repetitions, and improve the flow of ideas.

The two may not be identical, but they do kind of overlap. Thus, they might constantly expect you to perform both tasks when they hire you to do one or the other.

    Vlogging

Consider vlogging if you have the gift of gab rather than the inclination to write or design.

Using video creation and editing software as well as online resources for free video and audio samples, you may make engaging YouTube content even if you lean more toward the introverted side of things.

Developing a sizable audience is the key to making your material interesting to sponsors and marketers. Alternatively, you might sell this skill to businesses that want for a popular internet video to advertise their products or services and raise brand recognition.

Even if you largely rely on freelance markets to identify and work with clients, you will still attract a lot of potential clients by being active on LinkedIn. Every month, set aside a few hours to update your profile with recent samples of your work, ask former clients for references and recommendations, establish new relationships, and reply to job advertisements for contract work.

  • PUBG earns $307.1 million in Q1 2022 despite going free-to-play

PUBG earns $307.1 million in Q1 2022 despite going free-to-play

The South Korean company behind PUBG, Krafton revealed that the PC and console version of the battle royale shooter franchise is making a lot of money despite going free-to-play in January 2022.

According to Krafton, the game earned $307.1 million in revenue in the first quarter of 2022, up 5 per cent year over year (YoY), after being downloaded more than one billion times as of March 2021.

Sales on PC were boosted 61 per cent YoY to $82.3 million. The surge in console sales was even higher, up 124 per cent from the previous quarter and 274 per cent on a YoY basis, though Krafton did not disclose a cash amount for the period.

From Q4 2021 to Q4 2022, PUBG’s average monthly active users nearly tripled.

When PUBG: Battlegrounds first arrived in early access on Steam in 2017, it was a premium title, but free-to-play battle royale games like Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Apex Legends established that the free model can be highly profitable.

In fact, converting PUBG: Battlegrounds to free-to-play turned out highly beneficial for Krafton. The widely played PUBG: Mobile is already free to download on iOS and Android devices.

Electronic Arts (EA) also announced that Apex Legends, which has been out for a little over three years, crossed $2 billion in lifetime net bookings in just two weeks, While Epic raised $144 million for Ukraine aid.

  • Intel to launch world’s fastest 5.5 GHz CPU on April 5

The Core i9-12900KS processor from Intel which is also claimed as the “world’s fastest CPU” will be released on April 5, 2022. Expert PC builders will demonstrate their abilities by putting together a number of PCs, presumably around the new alder lake processor, at the Intel talking tech event, which will be streamed on Twitch.

The ‘KS’ version of Intel’s flagship, which effectively features the high-end 12900K silicon capable of being pushed to higher clock speeds and can boost up to 5.5GHz, is advertised as the ‘world’s fastest desktop processor’.

However, this speed can only be achieved for a short period of time on a single core, with the rumor mill claiming that the all-core boost will be 5.2GHz which again is really amazing.

Given that we have already seen or heard of the forthcoming flagship advertised on some websites, it is no surprise that the introduction of Intel’s Core i9-12900KS is so close.

As Intel claims that the 12900KS is the “world’s fastest” desktop CPU considering the clock speeds, what PC customers and heavy gamers really want to know is how well it works in real-world applications and high-end games.

Keeping in view the overall hype, it does not seem like it is going to disappoint the PC builders or gamer’s community.

  • PUBG developer collaborates with blockchain for NFT-based games

The South Korean gaming studio ‘Krafton’, who is also the developer of PUBG, has recently announced a partnership with a blockchain company ‘Solana Labs’ for the development, design, and marketing of NFT-based games and services.

Solana Labs is also the developer of Solana blockchain, an Ethereum-competitor designed to offer fast transaction speeds at a lower cost.

The partnership comes a month after Krafton announced its plans to step into the world of blockchain gaming and said that it would be working with Naver Z to launch a new Web 3.0 and non-fungible token (NFT) project aimed at building a proper NFT metaverse platform.

The important context for these deals can be Krafton’s share price, which have considerably dropped in 2022 due to tough competition from Chinese rivals, who are pouring into South Korea following a crackdown from regulators in Beijing.

As a result, Korean developers are reportedly racing to develop ‘play-to-earn’ games, comprising blockchain technology to shore up revenue.

The South Korean studio has not announced which of its games might see the addition of blockchain functionality or whether it will be offered in the PUBG series. Undoubtedly, the addition of NFTs in PUBG can double its popularity and earnings with attracting more players.
