A prisoner in Adiala jail has allegedly been gang-raped by fellow inmates, Geo’s Shabbir Ahmad Dar has reported.
The victim told the police that he was gang raped on May 18 at 11 o’clock in the night when two inmates forced themselves upon him together.
The police says a case has been registered at the Sadar Baruni police station on the complaint of the victim.
A girl from Lahore, visiting her brother, was allegedly gang-raped by a TikToker friend and his accomplices within the jurisdiction of the Waris Khan police station in Rawalpindi, it emerged on Thursday, reports the Express Tribune.
According to the complaint lodged by the victim, she was visiting her brother in the Sadiqabad area of the garrison city and had come all the way from Lahore.
She befriended a boy named Sardar on TikTok, who invited her to 6th Road. Upon arrival, Sardar and an unknown friend picked her up in a car and took her to a house in Amarpura. After leaving her there, Sardar informed her that he was going to get food.
During his absence, another person forcibly raped her. Subsequently, two unknown boys arrived and assaulted her. Upon Sardar’s return, he, too, allegedly raped her.
The victim raised the alarm, attracting the attention of the neighbours. The accused dismissed them, claiming it was a personal matter.
She seized this opportunity to contact Rescue 15.
Meanwhile, Waris Khan SHO Inspector Malik Naseer stated that a case has been registered, with the main suspect Sardar and another individual named Mohsin already being detained.
Raids to arrest the rest are underway, while the medical examination of the victim is being carried out, police said.
In a shocking sequence of events, a viral video from May 4 shows two women from Kangpoki district, Manipur, being paraded on the streets naked after being gang-raped in a field. According to the statement posted by the Indigenous Tribal Leaders’ Forum (ITLF):
“…The despicable scene, which happened on May 4 in Kangpokpi district, shows the men constantly molesting the helpless women, who cry and plead with their captors.”
“The horrifying ordeal suffered by these innocent women is amplified by the perpetrators’ decision to share the video, which shows the identity of the victims, on social media,” ITLF further wrote, appealing to the National Commission For Women and the National Comission for Scheduled Tribes to intervene and arrest the aggressors.
According to The Wire, the incident happened after tribal clashes between the Meitei and Kuki community in Manipur on May 3. The violence began when tribal groups held a solidarity march against the demand to grant Scheduled Tribe status to the Meitei community. A mob burned down houses and accosted five people who were trying to flee the violence. Two men in the group were murdered, and the other women were forced to strip.
The Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani had condemned the incident on her Twitter account yesterday and revealed that she had spoken with Chief Minister N Biren Singh to order the police and investigate this crime to take speedy action against the perpetuators.

On Wednesday, the police in Kasur arrested six men for the brutal gang rape of a mentally challenged teenaged girl found unconscious by her mother in the basement of a private restaurant.
In the case filed at the Kot Radha Kishan police station, the mother revealed that her daughter had gone out of the house, however, she was later found unconscious, and was rushed to Tehsil Headquarters hospital. After the girl was denied medical treatment, she was taken to Jinnah Hospital, where again she was denied healthcare. Then, the survivor was taken to Services Hospital, where after a medical examination, it was determined that she had been gang raped.
After the mother questioned locals, it was revealed that two men Sahil and Khalil along with three to four other unidentified men, had taken the girl with them to the basement of a private restaurant where they had gang-raped her.
After the case was filed, the DPO took speedy action to file a case against main accused Sahil, and arrested him.

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has reportedly taken notice of a flood-affected minor girl’s gang-rape in Clifton, Karachi. The heinous incident took place on October 23 (Sunday).
SHC Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M. Shaikh also summoned the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation South-I in a personal capacity.
The minor girl was living in a camp set up for flood victims in Karachi.
After the incident, she was rushed to Jinnah hospital where she remained hospitalised. The girl told the police that two men picked her up and then raped her.
The police surgeon confirmed that the violent crime had indeed taken place and said that child had been given a full medical examination.
According to the Additional Inspectors General (IG) Karachi, the girl and her six younger brothers and sisters were living with her mother in the vicinity of the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi.
On Sunday night, two boys at around 11am forcibly took her in their car and raped her, and then left her in the same vicinity at around 2:30pm.
Clifton SP Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry said the girl’s family was homeless and had set up a makeshift residence on a footpath near Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine in Clifton.
One of the suspects involved in the gang-rape has been arrested after a case was registered.
Following the horrific incident, Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali took serious notice of the case.
A woman who was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped on Thursday in Mehran Soomro village in Tharparkar has committed suicide.
The woman was left at an isolated place near her village after the sexual assault. She remained unconscious for many hours before her relatives found her and took her to a hospital.
After regaining consciousness, she gave a statement to the police, narrating the incident. She said she was kidnapped on her way to Hyderabad to get documents for her father’s pension.
After her suicide, her brother registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the suspects, stating that the family was forced to take the matter to a jirga and not go to the police.
He also said that area police were reluctant to register the case under the influence of certain local figures. Already traumatised by the rape, his sister could not bear her helplessness and took the extreme action of killing herself, he added.
Later, on Monday, two nominated suspects were booked by the police. Station House Officer (SHO) Ali Hassan Chang of the Kaloi police station said that an investigation into the matter has been started.
Bilkis Bano, an Indian Muslim woman who was gang-raped in the 2002 Gujarat riots, said that her peace has been taken away after the Gujarat government released her 11 rapists on Monday. Her rapists were released on August 15, i.e. Independence Day of India. They were convicted in 2008.
She has requested the government to reverse the decision.
“How can justice for any woman end like this? I trusted the highest courts in our land. I trusted the system, and I was learning slowly to live with my trauma. The release of these convicts has taken from me my peace and shaken my faith in justice,” said Bilkis in her statement.
“My sorrow and my wavering faith are not for myself alone but for every woman who is struggling for justice in courts,” she added.
“No one enquired about my safety and well-being, before taking such a big and unjust decision… Give me back my right to live without fear and in peace. Please ensure that my family and I are kept safe.”
At the age of 21, Bilkis Bano was five months pregnant when she was brutally gang-raped in 2002 in Gujarat.
The 2002 Gujarata riots are considered one of the worst anti-Muslim riots in India that saw nearly 2,000 people — mostly Muslims — killed.
On March 3, 2002, Bilkis and her family members were attacked by about 30 people armed with sickles, swords, and sticks. Among the attackers were the 11 accused men.
Bilkis, her mother, and three other women were raped and brutally assaulted. Seven members of Bilkis Bano’s family, including her three-year-old daughter, were also murdered.
Bilkis is now in her 40s.
The Pakistan Railways (PR) has announced arranging employment for a 25-year-old woman who was gang-raped last month while travelling on the Bahauddin Zakaria Express.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique.
“We will also arrange employment for this woman. We will keep following up her case besides providing her with financial assistance,” said Khawaja Saad.
He has also ordered the train’s private operator to reimburse the woman for all legal costs paid by her.
Pakistan Railways has also appointed a senior lady officer as a focal person to deal with the case.

After the gang-rape, the Prime Minister’s Strategic Reforms Implementation Unit (SRIU) directed Pakistan Railways to tighten security protocols for the safety of ladies travelling by train.
SRIU has also directed Pakistan Railways to deploy a Lady Railway Police Force (LRPF) in trains to ensure the safety of female passengers. A lady sub-inspector and two lady constables will be deployed at the railway stations for long journeys.
A woman was gang-raped by three train workers while travelling from Multan to Karachi. The incident took place on May 27.
On Wednesday, the Prime Minister’s Strategic Reforms Implementation Unit (SRIU) directed Pakistan Railways to tighten security protocols for the safety of ladies travelling by train, after a woman was gang raped by train staff while travelling from Multan to Karachi.
For the guidance of female passengers, a ‘Safar Saheli’ mobile app will be launched. It will have emergency phone numbers for women to call if they are in trouble.
SRIU has also directed Pakistan railways to deploy a Lady Railway Police Force (LRPF) in trains to ensure the safety of female passengers. A lady sub-inspector and two lady constables will be deployed at the railway stations for long journeys.
On addition, SOS buttons will be installed in all trains to allow women to request assistance in the event of sexual harassment or a rape attempt.

Video Surveillance System (VSS) will be installed at ‘vulnerable railway stations’. In addition, two CCTV cameras, one in each bogie and corridor will be installed.
A Face Recognition Camera (FRS) App would also be created to track down criminals and check their criminal history.
On May 27, a woman was gang-raped by train workers while travelling from Multan to Karachi on the Bahauddin Zakariya Express. According to details, the victim was raped by three men.
Two females including a minor were allegedly kidnapped, gang-raped, and paraded naked in the Naukot area of Mirpurkhas district in Sindh on Monday. There was a dispute between the Tangri and Rajput communities over a free-will marriage.
The incident took place because a woman from the Tangri community fled from home to marry a man belonging to the Rajput family.
Geo reported that over 20 men of the Tangri community raided the house of Muhammad Hanif Rajpoot and abducted two girls from his family.
The victims were rescued after 20 hours when the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA of Mir Tariq Talpur took notice of the incident.
Dr Zebunisa Kolachi who conducted an initial examination confirmed that both girls were raped.
Both victims revealed more details about the horrific incident which they faced.
They said, “Both of us were stripped off our clothes, forced to parade naked, and then raped by many men for hours during detention at an unknown location.”
The First Investigation Report (FIR) has been filed on the complainant, Ali Raza Rajput who is the husband of one of the abducted victims.
The relatives of the victims protested regarding the heinous act in the town and also alleged that the police of the Naukot area is reluctant to arrest the assailants.
The parents of the victims said, “Nobody feels safe from people of these gangs of Tangri community but the police of Naukot town have never bothered to take any action against them.”
Parents also revealed that the Tangri gang also took away valuable goods, gold, and cash at a gunpoint from the house.
Police have arrested 12 suspects who were nominated in the FIR.
