Actor Zahid Ahmed has discovered that real happiness comes from within, a realization that came about through a journey of faith and peace through prayer.
Recently, Ahmed appeared as a guest on After Hours, where he opened up about his spiritual journey. The actor is known for brilliant acting and a powerful voice that have led him to many commercial successes. Behind the fame, he’s been on a personal journey to find peace and purpose.
The host, Ushna Shah, asked, “You are a very spiritual person, far as I know, you offer prayers (Namaz), tell me about your spiritual journey?”
Zahid replied, “I just came to a point where I realized that, you know, there’s only so much to the world, and we’re not here to earn, pay bills, and die. There has to be a bigger purpose to life; there has to be a bigger calling. And, you know, when you get most of what people aspire in life…..after experiencing respect, money, fame, and all that, if there is still a restlessness inside me that is not being fulfilled in any way, then that thing compelled me to find out what it is and how it can be fulfilled.”
The Zara Yaad actor found peace by turning to his faith and looking within himself; he said, “Literally, by submitting my will to Allah, Alhamdulillah, it’s been six to seven years that I’m consistent in establishing Namaz.” His story is an inspiring example of how looking inward and turning to one’s faith can bring true contentment, especially when worldly achievements fall short.
Currently, Zahid is starring in the drama serial Jaan Se Pyara Juni.
Earlier, during the launch of Shark Tank, Something Haute host Hassan Chaudhary said, “I have to ask about Faris for those who are really enjoying Faris’s performance, what would you like to say to them?”
Zahid Ahmed replied, “I don’t love that character, I don’t even hate that character, I just did my job as an actor. For me, it’s enough that Humayun Bhai personally contacted me and asked me to play this character. It was a pleasure working with Humayun Saeed, Yumna, Adnan Siddiqui, and Sohail, so it was amazing; you just do your job when you sign it. I was up for it because I had never had the opportunity to work with him.

Firdous Jamal stands by controversial remarks on Mahira Khan’s looks
With his recent remarks on Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed, veteran actor Firdous Jamal has sparked controversy once more. Despite the backlash he received in the past, Jamal stands firm on his statements, particularly his criticism of Mahira Khan’s looks and acting skills.
Recently, Firdous Jamal appeared as a guest on Dais Book where the host, Junaid Saleem, asked, “Why don’t you like people quickly? You once said Mahira Khan was only fit for mother roles, but then she stunned everyone with her performance in Maula Jatt. Did you ever feel afterwards that maybe you shouldn’t have said that?”
Jamal replied, “I still stand by what I said then. I don’t feel any shame in saying it. Her age is evident, and for example, if you find her beautiful, how is that my fault.”
Firdous Jamal asked the host, “Tell me, do you find the Mona Lisa painting attractive?”
Saleem replied, “I don’t really get it.”Jamal then said, “Mahira never looked good to me either.”
The actor then continued in this vein, “The way I see it, for example, if you look at Elizabeth Taylor, Nargis Dutt, or Madhubala, what should I do with the person you’re talking about in comparison?”Jamal went on to say he didn’t care for Mahira’s looks,
Co-host Soniya Sial asked, “But 90 percent of people find her beautiful, and they also think she’s a good performer. What do you say to that?”
Firdous, “If 90 percent of people are crazy, should I become one too? I have my own way of thinking and my own perspective.”
The conversation then shifted to Humayun Saeed, where the host asked, “Humayun Saeed, who is currently considered Pakistan’s most expensive actor and is seen as a pinnacle of acting in the country, often receives immense admiration from his fans. Given his stature, do you think his acting deserves higher recognition, or should we perhaps give him a bit more credit for his performances?”
Firdous Jamal said, “Where does Humayun Saeed stand among the great actors? Is he in the league of legends like Marlon Brando or Stephen Boyd, I don’t think so.”The host Junaid Saleem said, “Sir, he (Humayun Saeed) charges a lot of money.”
“Come on, even a prostitute charges money, so what’s the big deal if Humayun Saeed charges a lot,” Jamal replied. -

Who is Khaled Anam calling unqualified celebrities?
In the field of entertainment and television, Khaled Anam stands out not only for outstanding acting skills but also for being very candid.
The actor cum singer was no less candid when he appeared as a guest on ‘Haute Talk with Hassan Choudhary’. Anam expressed frustration with unqualified critics who share negative opinions on social media about drama serials.
Hassan Choundhary asked “So, what feedback are you receiving feedback about ‘Gentleman’ from friends, family, views, and fans?”Anam replied, “Gentleman has been getting good feedback till now. Most importantly, people like the character of a progressive father. He is a strong character, and I am hoping that I am able to portray it well. But then there is this program on television, where actresses showed up and were reviewing dramas, and according to them, it is this very bad character who is trying to get his daughter involved with a man.”
The Gentlemen actor went on to say, “They took it badly, that’s their opinion. These things shouldn’t be happening. Reviewers need to be qualified to critique a drama, based to what we were taught during our theater training.”
Anam emphasized the importance of qualified criticism:“A person cannot critique something if they haven’t studied theater. You have no right to criticize something just because you don’t like it. Only someone who has studied acting and theater can give criticism. It’s okay, they’re just friends, and they’re just doing a show. Apart from that, social media is a really dangerous thing because everyone believes they have the right to criticize and degrade others.”

‘Held at gunpoint and forced’: Khalilur Rehman Qamar shares reason for sex tape
Controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has finally broken his silence about the leaked video that has been making headlines for weeks.
During a call, journalist Muneezay Moeen asked Khalil Ur Rehman about sex tape, to which he responded, “I was held at gunpoint and forced into a horrific situation. They demanded that I perform an intimate act with her, which they wanted to film. I was forced to remove my shirt, but I was in a state of deep depression and couldn’t bring myself to do it. I told them it was impossible for me, and thankfully, they left me alone and didn’t force me further. It was a traumatic experience that I will never forget.”
The video came out just as Hassan Shah, the mastermind of the honey trap that resulted in the writer’s kidnapping for ransom, was arrested. In an interview with Aik Pakistan hosted by Syed Ali Haider, the unknown man threatened that he would release the videos he has.
The video is in clear contradiction of the misogynistic writer’s account of what happened that night. He said in a police press conference that he went to the woman’s house at 4:40 am “to discuss a drama project.” When asked by a reporter about why he went that late to an unknown woman’s house, he said that he had been advised by his doctor to avoid sunlight for five years.
This will not be the first time that Qamar has landed himself in hot water. Qamar is known for speaking his mind, but his views often spark controversy. He has faced criticism for his comments on feminism and gender issues, and many of his statements have ignited debates and discussions.
Hassan Shah and his accomplice, Rafiq, were taken into custody in Peshawar. Shah is accused of leading a 12-member gang, including women that allegedly trapped Qamar and then released compromising videos of him.

Why Zahid’s Ahmed initially said no to ‘Jaan Se Pyara Juni’
Actor and model Zahid Ahmed is currently working on two dramas titled ‘Jaan Se Pyara Juni’ on Hum TV and ‘Gentleman’ on Green TV.
In an interview with VOA Urdu, he said, “I rejected the role of ‘Juni in Jaan Se Pyara’ several times. I like playing complex characters like the ones in ‘Besharam’ and ‘Ishq Zah e Naseeb’ because there’s a lot to discover. Roles like Juni are difficult because they’re very realistic, without any added drama. Even though I said no many times, director Meer Sikandar persuaded me to take on the challenge.”In ‘Jaan Se Puara Juni’ Zahid plays a very straightforward and simple role. The drama cast includes The Hira Mani, Mamya Shajaffar, Faiq Khan Faiza Hassan and Omer Shehzad.
