    Gold price in Pakistan increases Rs6,300 in a week

    Gold price in Pakistan witnessed an increase of Rs6,300 per tola within six trading sessions during the week ending on October 19, 2024.

    On a week-over-week basis, the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs6,300, breaking all-time high record and ending the week at a new record high rate of Rs281,800 per tola as compared to its price recorded on October 12, when the yellow metal was priced at Rs275,500 per tola in the local gold market.

    A number of experts have attributed the latest surge in local and international gold prices to escalating tensions in the Middle East, along with uncertainties regarding US elections, coupled with relaxed monetary policy expectations.

    The latest increase in gold’s rate was witnessed on Saturday, when gold prices saw an increase of Rs900 per tola ad closed at new historic high.

    According to All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), which shares gold prices on a daily basis, the ten-gramme gold also witnessed a single-day surge of Rs772, clocking in at Rs241,598.

    The recent surge in local gold rates comes after gold prices, in the international market, were seen at their highest level after rising by $9. As per APGJSA, the price of gold was recorded at $2,721 per ounce, including a premium of $20.

    Silver prices in the local market were also up for the second straight session. According to the associaton, silver rate was recorded about Rs50 up, settling the week at Rs3,150 per tola.

    The gold price in Pakistan declined on sixth trading day of the week after a drop in the international bullion rates.

    According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of the yellow metal on Saturday was recorded Rs700 per tola down from yesterday’s Rs276,200 per tola.

    Keeping in view the latest rates released by the association, the price for 24-karat gold was recorded at Rs275,500 per tola in local gold market.

    The price for ten gramme gold was reported about Rs600 down at Rs236,197.

    It is worth noting that the price for one tola gold was seen at an all-time high of Rs277,000 per tola in the previous week.

    One again, the price for silver remained unchanged in Pakistan at Rs3.050 for one tola.

    On the global front, the price of gold droppped by $7 to $2,653 per ounce. This price also includes a premium of $20.

    In Pakistani bullion market, the price of one tola of 24-karat gold was recorded at Rs275,500, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). It is worth noting that this price is Rs500 down from the Saturday’s closing rate of Rs276,000 per tola.

    The price for ten-gramme-gold also dropped by Rs428 to Rs236,197.

    On Saturday, gold price was recorded Rs700 per tola down from the previous closing.

    Interestingly, silver prices remained unchanged for another day at Rs3,050 per tola in local market.

    Gold prices in the last week were seen at record peak of Rs277,000 per tola before witnessing three consecutive days of decline.

    Moreover, the gold price in international bullion market were recorded approximately $4 down, clocking in at $2,653 per ounce. This rate also includes a premium of $20.

    The price of 10-gramme of gold was recorded at Rs233,110 after sliding by Rs471.

    It is worth mentioning that the gold price in the last two trading sessions jumped by Rs4,000 per tola.

    The last gold rate before Monday’s closing was Rs272,500 per tola.

    Furthermore, silver prices were unchanged once again, clocking in at Rs2,950 per tola.

    The price of gold in the global market also witnessed a loss of $5 during the day and was recorded at $2,617 per ounce. This price also includes a premium of $20.

    Gold prices in Pakistan continued to climb on Saturday, after increasing in the international markets.

    The price of gold in the local bullion market rose by Rs500 per tola, reaching a level never witnessed in the country’s history.

    According to All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of the precious metal was recorded at Rs272,500, breaking Friday’s record.

    It is worth noting that the last highest price of gold was recorded yesterday, when yellow metal’s rate was quoted by gold dealers at Rs272,000 per tola. Gold prices earlier witnessed a massive rise of Rs3,500 per tola on the previous trading day.

    Furthermore, the price for 10 grammes of gold also increased today, witnessing a surge of Rs429 and closing the day at Rs233,625.

    Considering international market, gold prices jumped further, with the APGJSA reporting the rate at $2,622 per ounce. This rate includes a $20 premium.

    Globally, the gold rate witnessed a hike of $10 during the day.

    Once more, silver prices were seen unchanged at Rs2,950 for one tola.

    On Thursday, the 24-karat gold rate in Pakistan dropped Rs1,000 per tola from the record high peak witnessed on the last trading day.

    According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of yellow metal was recorded today at Rs263,000 per tola as compared to the historic high of Rs264,000 per tola on Wednesday.

    Bullion rates shared by the APGJSA showed that the price of ten grammes of gold was also down by Rs857 to Rs225,480.

    The price of silver in Pakistani market remained unchanged at Rs2,900 per tola

    A price drop was also witnessed internationally, with the per ounce gold rate decreasing by $8 to $2,515. This rate includes a premium of $20.

    The previous all-time high price of gold was seen in August, when the precious metal’s per tola rate surged to Rs263,700 in Pakistan.

    The latest price of gold in Pakistan is about Rs700 per tola lower than August’s high and Rs1,000 per tola below September’s peak.

    Today’s gold rate is Rs300 per tola higher than the last record high.

    Internationally, the yellow metal’s value was recorded at $2,524 per ounce, showing an increase of $23. This rate includes a premium of $20.

    Last month, gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high of Rs263,700 per tola, causing concern among non-investors, potential buyers, and individuals purchasing the precious metal for weddings or as a safeguard for their earnings.

    On the international front, gold prices also saw a reduction on Tuesday. APGJSA reported that the international rate stood at $2,498 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a decrease of $5 for the day.

    Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable at Rs2,950 per tola.

    This latest figure surpasses the previous record of Rs260,200 per tola set just last week, marking a Rs500 increase from the last historic high.

    The price of 10-gramme gold also saw a rise, selling at Rs223,508 after an increase of Rs600, according to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

    On Monday, the gold price had dipped slightly to Rs260,000, a Rs200 decrease. However, the international gold rate edged higher on Tuesday, with prices reaching $2,512 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting a $10 gain during the day.

    Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable at Rs2,950 per tola.

    On Thursday, gold prices in Pakistan experienced a notable increase. The price of 24-karat gold reached Rs254,900 per tola, marking a rise of Rs1,400.

    According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the cost of 24-karat gold was reported at Rs218,536 per 10-gramme, up by Rs1,201. Meanwhile, 22-karat gold prices also saw an uptick, quoted at Rs200,324 per 10-gramme.

    In contrast, silver prices in the domestic market remained steady. The price for 24-karat silver was unchanged at Rs2,900 per tola and Rs2,486 per 10-gramme.

    On the international stage, spot gold traded at approximately $2,433 per ounce, experiencing a decrease of $12.30, or 0.50 per cent, from the previous session.
