    ‘Bury them properly’; man digs up children’s graves

    Sanda police have arrested a man who reportedly dug up the graves of three children, took the bodies out, and called their parents to rebury them “properly”.

    After the police investigated the matter, the man, identified as Usman alias Mani, was found to have dug up a number of graves. He claims that he was directed by “voices” to commit the act.

    As the parents found out about what the man had done, they hurried to the graveyard where the bodies were lying outside of the graves.

    As soon as the police were informed, the administration of the graveyard was alerted, and Usman was later arrested.

    Police have called in a senior psychologist who declared Usman mentally unstable after questioning and examining him.

    A case has, nonetheless, been lodged against Usman under section 297 of the Pakistan Penal Code (trespassing of burial places ) and the inquiry is to continue.

    Man allegedly burns the grave of former mother-in-law

    A man in Layyah allegedly desecrated the grave of his ex-wife’s mother after she refused to re-marry him. He allegedly committed the crime with the help of his brother Ramzan.

    Yahya alias Pappu divorced Asma Bibi four years ago. However, he later changed his mind and asked Asma Bibi, his ex-wife, to re-marry him. Asma refused his proposal. Yahya then set the grave of his ex-mother-in-law on fire by pouring petrol over it to take revenge from his ex-wife.

    Police filed a complaint against the two brothers and were able to apprehend one of them, Ramzan. Yahya is still missing.

    Police is still investigating the matter.

  • Newborn baby’s body goes missing from grave

    The body of a newborn baby buried in a graveyard in Burewala disappeared from the grave, Geo News reported.

    Police said that the footprints of a man and a woman could be seen near the grave. All the evidence has been collected, which will help in the investigation to reach the accused.

    An eight-day-old baby boy named Ashfaq died in a village near Burewala and was buried in the village cemetery.

    According to his parents, when they reached the grave to recite Fateha the next day, the grave was open and the newborn’s body was missing.

    The family protested and demanded immediate recovery of the child’s body.
