    An elephant has damaged the venue and four cars at a wedding ceremony after getting irked by the sound of crackers in India’s Uttar Pradesh.

    As per reports, the incident happened on Friday night when the groom named Anand Tripathi reached the wedding venue with an elephant.

    A video from the wedding recently went viral on social media that shows the groom arriving at his wedding venue, sitting in a carriage decorated with neon lights. The barat also included an elephant and some horses. The elephant then started destroying the venue and everything that came in its way because it was irked by the sound of the crackers.

    The groom fled away from the scene after the destruction made by the elephant.

    Later, a team comprising officials from the forest department and police was called for help who then managed to control the elephant.

    Bride in India’s Ballia district refused to marry the groom because he chewed ‘gutka’ (betel nut) when he arrived at the venue with the wedding guests.

     As per reports, the bride hailing from Mishrauli village was expected to get married to the man from Khejuri village on June 5.

    However, when the groom arrived with the the guests, the bride saw that he was chewing ‘gutka’. She then denied to get married and the wedding was cancelled.

    After the wedding was called off, the families decided to return the gifts they had earlier exchanged with each other.

    Earlier, a bride in Uttar Pradesh district had refused to get married after the groom arrived drunk and forced the bride to dance with him. As the situation got out of control, the police came in and intervened after which the groom’s family agreed to return.

    A young bride fell ill, fainted and died during her wedding ceremony forcing the families to solemnize the marriage between the groom and a sister of the bride.

    As per reports, the incident happened earlier this week in Samaspur, India.

    After exchanging garlands and other wedding rituals, the couple was preparing for the final ceremony of ‘pheras’ when Surabhi suddenly fell unconscious beside her groom, Manjesh Kumar.

    The family instantly called a doctor who declared her dead telling them she suffered a severe  cardiac arrest.

    The wedding celebrations immediately turned into mourning.

    Surabhi’s brother Saurabh said: “We did not know what to do in the situation. Both the families sat together and someone suggested that my younger sister Nisha should be married to the groom. The families discussed the matter and both agreed.”

    Surabhi’s body was kept in another room and the marriage of Manjesh and Nisha was then celebrated. After the wedding, when the guests left with the bride, Surabhi’s last rites were held,” he said.

    Surabhi’s uncle Ajab Singh, said, “It was a tough call for our family. One daughter lay dead in one room and another daughter’s wedding was being solemnized in the other room.”

    “We have never witnessed such mixed emotions. The grief over her death and the happiness of the wedding have yet to sink in,” he added.

    An Indian woman got married to a wedding guest after her groom-to-be mysteriously disappeared from the venue.

    As per reports, the incident happened in the Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The “jaimala ceremony” in which the bride and the groom exchange garlands had taken place in Maharajpur town. Family members were preparing for the final wedding rituals when the groom fled the venue.

    Both the families started searching for the youth but they could not find him anywhere.  After looking for a while, the bride’s family got to know that the groom was not missing. He had run away from the wedding for reasons only known to him.

    The bride’s family was surprised and the bride was also distressed after the incident. Meanwhile, one of the family members proposed that the girl can marry another suitable boy.

    The bride’s family then selected a potential groom from the wedding guests. Both the sides discussed a few things and agreed on the proposal. The wedding was then celebrated at the venue.

    Later, the bride’s family later registered a police complaint against the groom and his family members.

    A woman in China who was attending her son’s wedding realised that the bride-to-be was actually her long-lost daughter.

    As per details, the woman recognised the girl from a birthmark on her hand during the wedding ceremony, which took place in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. She then asked the bride’s parents if the girl had been adopted.

    The family, at first, was stunned at the question because they had not told anyone that the bride is not their actual daughter.

    However, they later revealed that they found the girl on the roadside more than 20 years ago and adopted her, saying that they have always regarded her as their own daughter to love and take care of.

    The bride after finding out the truth burst into tears of joy, describing the moment “happier than the wedding day itself”.

    Fortunately, the wedding did not get cancelled as the groom’s mother revealed that she had adopted the boy after giving up all hope of finding her daughter.

    A villager named Shahid was tricked into marrying a 70-year old woman by a matchmaker.

    As per details, the groom did not get to see her bride until after the wedding. He claimed that the woman he got married to was not the one who the matchmaker had shown them, adding that his family had paid the matchmaker’s fee of Rs 20,000 and had also paid an additional Rs 60,000 to the bride’s family for dowry.

    According to the bride Nusrat Bibi, she was dragged into the whole situation when the bride-to-be ran away. Nusrat actually worked as a domestic helper at the home of the girl the matchmaker had promised Shahid as wife.

    The groom and his family have registered an FIR against the family of the bride and the matchmaker in order to recover their money. The matchmaker has fled the scene.

    A newlywed couple on Monday had to walk six kilometres due to road blocks due to the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) jalsa in Multan.

    According to reports, the couple were at Lodhran’s Dunyapur tehsil when they encountered several barriers with police and other security personnel, asking them to stop their vehicle. The groom with his ‘barat’ had to park their cars on the side of a road from where they went to their destination on foot. 

    Shipping containers and heavy vehicles were parked at different spots around Multan as a security measure, while mobile phone services were also suspended inconveniencing locals.

The discussion led to India’s present economic condition and the bride-to-be, who is a government employee, held PM Modi responsible for India’s poor economic condition. The groom-to-be, a businessman turned out to be a Modi supporter and disagreed with her.

    The argument turned into a heated discussion after which both of them decided to part ways and called off the wedding.

  • Groom, relatives arrested for violating coronavirus lockdown

    A groom and his relatives were booked for violating the coronavirus lockdown and Section 144 imposed by the government in Muzaffargarh on Monday.

    According to the police, the wedding was taking place in Sanawan’s Pitti Sultan Mehmood. They conducted a raid after receiving a complaint.

    As per reports, the groom, identified as Muzammil, had invited a large number of people there, “For violating the government’s orders, we have arrested the groom and nine of his relatives,” an officer said.

    A case has been registered against them.
