Indian customer shocked by human finger in ice cream

An online ice cream delivery took a macabre turn in India when a doctor received an order with a human finger in the dessert.

The incident happened in Mumbai when Brandon, a 26-year-old MBBS doctor, ordered a butterscotch ice cream cone from Yumno’s app.

In a video statement shared by Dr Brandon on Indian media, he says that when he ate half of the ice cream, he felt something hard in his mouth, which he took out instead of swallowing.

Brandon says that being a doctor, he soon realized that the hard object coming out of the mouth was a severed human finger with visible fingernails rather than a culinary addition to the ice cream.

The doctor asserted that instead of throwing the ice cream away, he stored it in the freezer to give it to the police as evidence.

An FIR has been registered against the company, while the 1.5 cm long piece of the finger recovered from the ice cream cone has been sent for forensics.

  • Ice cream tests positive for COVID-19

Ice cream has been found to have been contaminated with COVID-19 in China after three samples of the dessert tested positive for the virus.

As per details, authorities in China are tracing people who may have come into contact with the contaminated batches, which were produced by the Chinese food company.

All products made by the firm have been sealed after the samples it sent to the municipal centre for disease control this week tested positive for coronavirus.

Initial epidemiological investigations show the ice cream batch has used raw materials that include milk powder imported from New Zealand and whey powder imported from Ukraine.

Authorities said the company produced 4,836 boxes of the contaminated ice cream of which 2,089 had been sealed away in storage.

A total of 935 boxes of the ice cream, out of 2,747 boxes that entered the market, were in Tianjin and only 65 were sold to markets.

Authorities said citizens who may have bought the product must report their health and physical movements to those in their communities.

The city has also informed the market regulation authorities in other provinces where the ice cream was sent so it can be traced.

Meanwhile, 1,662 employees of the company have gone into isolation.

    Russia’s ice-cream diplomacy: Putin buys Turkey’s Erdogan ice-cream

Ever wondered how world leaders treat each other?

Well, we recently got a glimpse of Russia’s ‘Ice-cream Diplomacy’ when Russian President Vladimir Putin bought Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan an ice-cream cone at the Moscow International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS 2019). How cool.

After getting the ice-cream, Erdogan asked Putin: “Will you pay for me too?”

To which the Russian President responded: “Yes, of course I’ll pay. After all, you are our guest.”

President Putin then paid 210 rubles ($3.20) for the ice-cream. He gave the ice-cream vendor a 5,000 ruble note and told his minister Denis Manturov to keep the change!

Earlier this summer, Russian President Putin gifted his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping a box of Russian ice-cream for his birthday. Apparently, the Chinese President loves Russian desserts.
