The Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is unfolding right now. Pakistani cinema is gaining recognition on the global platform with movies like Wakhri and In Flames being featured at the event. showcase the talent and creativity of Pakistani filmmakers. On Thursday, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt walked the red carpet at the festival. She not only attended the event but also posed with several Pakistani celebrities. Alia was dressed in an elaborate floral silver gown for the red carpet event. Hollywood actors including Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Sharon Stone, Michelle Williams, Freida Pinto, Joel Kinnaman, Paz Vega and Sofia Vergara were also in attendance at the festival. Pakistani stars, including Mahira Khan, Humayun Saeed, Ahad Raza Mir were also there, mingling with international stars like Alia Bhatt and Andrew Garfield. Humayun Saeed was also photographed with Adrien Brody, Nicolas Cage, Henry Golding, and Joel Kinnaman. His wife, Samina Humayun Saeed, was captured in a picture with Alia Bhatt. Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut took a dig at Shah Rukh Khan and his filmography after a netizen wrote back to Kangana saying, “Kangana Ji’s film Dhakad earned 55 lakh rupees on the first day and lifetime collection 2.58 crores. While Pathaan film earned more than 100 crores on the first day.”
Responding to the comment, the Manikarnika star said, “Yes, Dhakad was a historic flop, when did I deny this? This is SRK ji’s first successful film in ten years, we also take inspiration from him, I hope we will also get a similar chance that India gave him. After all this India is great, it is generous, Jai Shri Ram.”
She also tweeted a series of hate tweets regarding Pathaan’s success and its slightly decent portrayal of Pakistani agencies.
After noticing the same, former Pakistani actress Noor Bukhari took to Instagram and called out Indian actress Kangana Ranaut following her ‘hateful comments’ about Pakistan as the Bollywood actress took a jibe at Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Pathaan’ for depicting “enemy nation Pakistan in a good light”.

The Mumbai Police have detained Bollywood star Rakhi Sawant in a case filed by model and actor Sherlyn Chopra.
Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra have been at loggerheads for quite some time. It all began to make headlines when Sawant supported #MeToo accused Sajid Khan’s entry into the Bigg Boss 16 house which was opposed by the latter. Their war of words aggravated when Ms. Chopra filed a complaint against Sawant at Juhu Police station. Now in the latest development of their catfight, the Krazzy 4 actress has been detained by the Mumbai Police.
Chopra took to Twitter to share the breaking news of Rakhi Sawant’s arrest. Sherlyn wrote, “Breaking News!!! Amboli Police has arrested Rakhi Sawant in respect of FIR 883/2022 yesterday, Rakhi Sawant’s ABA 1870/2022 was rejected by Mumbai Sessions Court.” She shared the same Tweet in Hindi too. For the unversed Chopra filed a police complaint against Rakhi Sawant for showing her explicit videos to the media.

Earlier speaking about her complaint against Rakhi, Sherlyn Chopra told a section of media that Rakhi Sawant had earlier mentioned in her interview that she will hit Sherlyn, or kill her. According to our constitution, nobody has a right to send death threats. Her legal team then filed a complaint under the IPCs 499 (Defamation), 500 (Punishment for Defamation), 509 (Word, gesture and act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), and 503 (Criminal Intimidation) the complaint is filed in Juhu Police Station, Sherlyn had said.
Actor and singer Priyanka Chopra made headlines with her autobiography titled Unfinished. From her personal experience in the Bollywood industry to her family revelations, the actress gave an insight into her life to her fans. One of the excerpts from the memoir was about her nose surgery that went totally wrong.
Priyanka Chopra revealed, “I was having trouble breathing. This is a problem someone with asthma can’t ignore. I ended up seeing a doctor recommended by a family friend, who discovered a polyp in my nasal cavity that would need to be surgically removed.”
While shaving her polyp, the doctor accidentally ended up shaving the bridge of her nose. Priyanka Chopra added, “When it was time to remove the bandages and the condition of my nose was revealed, Mom and I were horrified. My original nose was gone. My face looked completely different. I wasn’t me anymore. I didn’t think my sense of self or my self-esteem would ever recover from the blow. Let’s just call it out right now. I remember the media giving me the nickname ‘Plastic Chopra’ after my surgery.”
The actress then had to fix the damages via polypectomy. Well, that indeed is one horrific incident. But this unfiltered version of Priyanka Chopra makes her the global icon that she is today.
Earlier this year Chopra, called out an online publication for referring to her as ‘wife of Nick Jonas’. The Fashion diva took to her Instagram story to express her displeasure over being referred to as her husband’s wife instead of her own name.
“Very interesting that I’m promoting one of the most iconic film franchises of all time, and I’m still referenced as ‘the wife of…’. Please explain how this still happens to women? Should I add my IDMB link to my bio?” the actor wrote in her story.
Alia Bhatt’s latest love ballad Kesariya has taken over the music charts in India. The song was recently in hot waters when called out for copying Pakistani band Call’s Laree Chootee, but while that’s contested, Bhatt came to defend her song by claiming that Kesariya has dethroned the global favourite Coke Studio song Pasoori.
Amidst a promotional interview for her Netflix’s debut film, Darlings, Bhatt was directed with a question that asked how she feels after the massive critique Kesariya, which she calls her and husband Ranbir Kapoor’s love song, has gotten for including the phrase “love storiyan”.
Defending the lyrics, Bhatt shared she believes its “great” however the song got attention from people. “I don’t think people are having issues with the song. I think it’s great. I think it’s lovely that there is so much given to even two words in a song. I think there was so much anticipation with the song that the ones who weren’t liking those two words just wanted the song to be so perfect.”
She further added, “Like we dethroned, which I want to say very proudly, Pasoori which is one of my favourite songs but it’s been number one for 85 days and Kesariya went straight to number one. I proudly want to scream on the rooftop and say this because any kind of attention to a creative unit, good bad, is attention at the end of the day and it adds on people knowing more about the film that’s about to release and it just shows that they care that much.”
Bhatt recently added her name to the list of Indian actors who opted for Pakistani designer Faraz Manan’s couture collection for a public event.
The Highway star recently shared pictures of her on Instagram in which the actor could be seen wearing Faraz’s dress.
The designer also shared pictures of the Udta Punjab diva on the official Instagram handle.
Earlier, this year in October, Shah Rukh Khan donned Faraz Manan’s white royal jacket on a shalwar kameez. The jacket was customised for the Don 2 star with detailed embroidery work.
Faraz has alo collaborated with India’s top actors like Sridevi, Jacqueline Fernandez and Karishma Kapoor.

Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat is currently gearing up for the release of her on-screen comeback with RK/RKay. While promoting the film, the Murder star shared how a section of the industry always spoke about her body and glamour but never her acting.
She also compared fellow actress Deepika Padukone’s performance in Gehraiyaan with her film Murder, saying that she did similar work over 15 years back.
Talking about the changes she is seeing in the film industry, the actor said, “Earlier, the heroines were either too good, sati-savitri types who were too innocent to know anything, or they were the characterless vamps. These were the only two types of roles written for heroines. The change that we see now, shows women as humans. She can be happy or sad. Sherawat added that she was mentally tortured by a section of the industry as they only spoke about her ‘bold image’. “Such hue and cry was created when I did Murder. People said all kinds of things about the kiss and the bikini. What Deepika did in Gehraiyaan, I did that 15 years ago, but people were too narrow-minded back then. I should tell you that a section of the industry and media was mentally torturing me. These people only talked about my body and glamour, not my acting. I worked in Dasavatharam, Pyaar Ke Side Effects and Welcome, but none talked about my acting.”
