Cryptocurrency millionaire found dead: Dismembered body parts found in suitcase

Trigger Warning: The following content contains discussions of violence, crime, and death.

Argentinian cryptocurrency influencer Fernando Perez Algaba, who had been reported missing for more than a week, was tragically discovered deceased on Wednesday. According to a report by the New York Post, his remains were found inside a suitcase near a stream in Buenos Aires. The disturbing incident came to light when a group of children found the red suitcase containing body parts while playing by the stream on Sunday.

Upon being informed by the children’s parents, the authorities initiated an investigation. The suitcase contained Algaba’s legs and forearms, while one of his arms was found in the stream. Subsequently, on Wednesday, the police located the missing head and torso. The dismemberment appeared to have been skillfully performed, indicating the involvement of someone with expertise in such matters.

Autopsy results revealed that Algaba had suffered three gunshot wounds before his body was dismembered. The police were able to identify him through his fingerprints and distinctive tattoos on the body parts.

Fernando Perez Algaba was a self-made millionaire based in Barcelona, known for showcasing his opulent lifestyle to nearly one million Instagram followers. He accumulated his wealth through luxury vehicle rentals and cryptocurrency sales. Algaba had been in Argentina for a week before his disappearance and alleged murder.

The circumstances surrounding Algaba’s death led to the arrest of one individual, and the authorities are currently investigating the motive behind the crime. While they suspect that financial debts may have played a role in the tragedy, a comprehensive investigation is still underway.

Snapchat star creates virtual girlfriend AI chatbot to ‘cure loneliness’

Caryn Marjorie, a Snapchat influencer with 1.8 million subscribers, has launched an AI-powered, voice-based chatbot called CarynAI. The chatbot, described as a “virtual girlfriend,” allows Marjorie’s followers to have private and personalised conversations with an AI version of the influencer.

The bot, designed by Forever Voices, an AI company, and developed using OpenAI’s GPT4 software, has generated $71,610 in revenue after one week of beta testing with over 1,000 users paying $1 per minute to use it. Marjorie hopes that CarynAI will “cure loneliness” and even features cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to rebuild physical and emotional confidence that has been taken away by the pandemic.

However, CarynAI has sparked discourse around the ethics of companion chatbots, as it is not supposed to engage in sexually explicit interactions, but Marjorie stated that it had gone “rogue” and that her team is working around the clock to prevent this from happening again.

Moreover, Irina Raicu, the director of internet ethics at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University, expressed concern that CarynAI’s claims to potentially “cure loneliness” are not backed up by sufficient psychological or sociological research, and the chatbot adds “a second layer of unreality” to parasocial relationships between influencers and fans.

Despite the backlash and even death threats, Marjorie is proud of her team’s work, with CarynAI being the first step in the right direction to cure loneliness. However, Raicu emphasised that influencers should be aware of the Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on artificial intelligence products, and Meyer, CEO of Forever Voices, said that his company takes ethics seriously and is looking to hire a chief ethics officer. On Friday, Marjorie tweeted that “if you are rude to CarynAI, it will dump you.”

Tate revealed his conversion to Islam last week after a video of him learning an Islamic prayer from Tam Khan went viral.

According to a tweet uploaded from his account on the social media platform Gettr, controversial social media star Andrew Tate, who has been blocked from the majority of social media platforms, has mentioned that he is now a Muslim.

After being questioned about his views on Islam earlier this year and calling it “the last authentic religion in the world,” Andrew made his announcement today.

A video of Andrew and Tam Khan in a UAE mosque was shared earlier this week by British Muslim and former MMA fighter Tam Khan.

Alhamdulillah, which means “praise be to God” in Arabic, was the description for the video, which showed Tam praying while Andrew imitated his actions.

On social media, the video elicited a variety of responses, and many users believed Andrew had embraced Islam.

Tam defended the controversial personality from the backlash and tweeted: “I personally know Andrew & mashAllah his love for Islam is genuine & it’s real. No PR stunts. He is one of us”.

American-British kickboxer Andrew was born in Luton but raised in Chicago. He is the son of chess player Emory Tate.

The 35-year-old has participated in the heavyweight and cruiserweight weight classes, according to his website. In 2016, he briefly appeared in the British television series Big Brother.

Due to his outspoken opinions, major streaming networks like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok have banned Andrew’s profiles.

Tik Tok influencers jailed for human trafficking

Tik Tok influencers in Cairo, Egypt were convicted of human trafficking by a Criminal court

As per reports, Haneen Hossam, 20 was sentenced to 10 years in jail and a fine of 200,000 pounds while 22-year-old Mawada El Adhamwas was sentenced to six-year jail and fined 200,000 pounds.

They were imprisoned for encouraging young women to record indecent videos and post footage on the video-sharing app in exchange for money.

They were detained last year and later handed out a two year-sentence each for violating the values and principles of the Egyptian family and provoking debauchery.

On January 12, their two-year-sentence was cancelled after they were acquitted of violating family morals. But a week later, the court upheld an appeal overturning jail sentences on charges of human trafficking.

Hossam was arrested in April 2020 on charges of asking young women to share indecent videos on Tik Tok app, while El Adham was arrested in May 2020 after sharing indecent video clips on Instagram.

Boy who licked a toilet seat in viral video has coronavirus

Social-media influencer Larz told his followers he was in a hospital after catching the coronavirus. The news came just a few days after he filmed himself licking a toilet seat in a public bathroom as part of a bizarre ‘Coronavirus Challenge’.

The 21-year-old from California tweeted: “I tested positive for Coronavirus,” according to the Daily Mail, but his Twitter account @GayShawnMendes has now been suspended.

He also uploaded a video to his Instagram account that appears to show him lying in a hospital bed and “doped up” on medication. His Instagram page is also full of badly edited photographs of him hanging out with celebrities, so his claims should be taken with a pinch of salt.

The challenge started as an obvious ploy for attention from the TikTok and Instagram influencer Ava Louise. She filmed herself licking an airplane toilet seat, adding the caption: “Please RT this so people can know how to properly be sanitary on the airplane.”

She told Insider she did it for “clout” because she didn’t want the coronavirus getting more attention than her. She added that “hot blondes” could recover from anything so there was “no harm done”.

In a follow-up video called “Why I licked the toilet seat, now I’m running for president,” Ava Louise said she was trolling the mainstream media with the stunt and the toilet seat she licked was on a private plane.

Another tasteless — and dangerous — prank some young wannabe influencers are taking part in is coughing on produce in supermarkets, according to the New York Post.

One 26-year-old man, named Cody Pfister, was charged with making a terrorist threat after filming himself licking a shelf of toiletries in Walmart on March 11, the Daily Mail reported.
