Contrary to previous reports which stated that Noor Mukadam, 27, was shot and then beheaded, her post mortem report states that she was stabbed several times and then beheaded.
According to Samaa TV , the post mortem report reveals that the victim was assaulted, stabbed and after she died, she was beheaded.
The incident took place on July 20 in F-7/4 in Islamabad, reportedly at the residence of Zahir Jaffer, who was arrested for Noor’s murder.
A case under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code has been registered against the suspect at the Kohsar Police Station.
A special team has been created to investigate the case and the police has recommended that Zahir be placed on the Exit Control List.
“InshaAllah justice will be served in this case…no one will be allowed to leave the country and people will see justice be served. There is no one more powerful in Pakistan than the law,” PTI’s Fawad Chaudhry said.
The daughter of a former senior Pakistani diplomat, Noor Mukadam who was brutally murdered in Islamabad, spent several years in Ireland with her family when she was a young girl.
One of her Irish friends, Kim Kearns described Noor as a “beautiful” woman having “the sweetest heart”.
Kearns, Mukadam and another woman, Marilyn Egan, were “the three best friends” growing up, she told to Irish Times.
Noor had attended Our Lady’s Grove primary and secondary school in Goatstown, South Dublin, after her father had been posted to serve at the Pakistan embassy in the area. Kearns said she recalled Noor joining the school when they were in first grade.
Her family had lived in Milltown, South Dublin, before they shifted to Leopardstown, her friend said.
“She had the heart of an angel… If anyone was ever mean to her, she would always be positive, she never retaliated,” Kearns said.
“She liked shopping, we’d go to Dundrum shopping centre, she liked Zara, she was into fashion,” her friend added.
“She just fitted in, Ireland was her home,” she said.
Kearns stated that when Mukadam was told that her family had to move again and leave Ireland she was “heartbroken”.
“We would always keep in touch. If I posted anything on Instagram she would comment on it, saying she was thinking of me, or missing us,” she said.
Both of Mukadam’s friends said that they were upset by the news of their childhood friend’s death.
The friends are planning to organise a tribute walk from their old school to a pond on the University College Dublin campus. If Mukadam had continued in Ireland that was where she would have wanted to study for college, Kearns said.

The Current reached out to Additional Advocate General Punjab, Chaudhry Faisal Hussain to ask if the lack of trust in our institutions was legitimate.
Speaking to The Current, he said, “Despite the best handling of this case by the police, previously the role of lower courts or investigative authorities has created mistrust in people. The Shahrukh Jatoi case and other such incidents have been dubious so people are reluctant to believe that the Noor murder case will come to a justified conclusion.”
“This is alarming for lower courts, where the conviction rate is very low. People do no trust our police department, courts, and the prosecution, even if they do the right thing,” he added.
“#JusticeForNoor is trending on social media but this should happen when the suspect has not been arrested so being a government’s lawyer, this is alarming for me that mistrust of the public on the system is increasing.”
He further said, “Institutes need to work on their performance. The high court and supreme court should pay attention to the lower courts. Police departments need to focus on the investigative part. Parliaments and provincial assemblies should also work on this. One alarming thing for the government, opposition and institutes in this all is that people mistrust the institutions.”
Islamabad police has said that they recommend that Zahir Jaffar be placed on the exit control list.
The daughter of a former Pakistani diplomat was killed on Tuesday. Noor Mukadam, 27, daughter of Shaukat Mukadam, was found murdered at a residence in the capital’s upscale Sector F-7/4 and the alleged murderer, Zahir Jaffar was arrested for the murder.
While addressing a press conference on the issue, SSP, Investigation Ataur Rehman answered questions about the incident, cautioning that most of the details had still not been uncovered. He said that despite arresting Zahir on the spot, the alleged murderer had not given any concrete answers.
“When we arrested him, he was sound and in his senses. He may have had a past history [of taking drugs] but at least at this time he was completely in his senses,” SSP Ataur Rehman said, answering a question about if Zahir was intoxicated when arrested. The police officer repeatedly stated that when Zahir was arrested, he was sound and fully in his senses and actions, when asked if Zahir’s legal team might, or could, pursue an insanity defense.
The SSP also stated that while initially the police had stated that Noor had been shot, there was now, no evidence of her being shot. They did find a firearm at the residence but there was no proof that the gun was used on Noor, and the firearm had a bullet that was stuck inside.
The house staff is also being interrogated and asked about how long Noor was in the house, if they knew that the suspect had planned to murder her, said SSP Rehman. He also added that the staff stated that they heard the two fighting.
Police had been told about the incident by a local resident and reached the house in 15 minutes, the officer said, adding that evidence was also being collected.
The SSP said that the case would be investigated thoroughly and even if the suspect does not give a statement, they would collect enough evidence to convict.

“A friend of the girl had been arrested over his alleged involvement in the murder,” police said, “the alleged killer is a son of leading businessman.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan announced on Thursday that Pakistan and Uzbekistan will jointly make a film on the first Mughal emperor, Zaheer-ud-din Babar, in order to let the youth know about the connection between the two countries.

PM Khan said that the Mughal dynasty ruled India for three centuries, adding that the region at that time was considered as “one of the richest” places in the world.

Four people were arrested in connection with Usman Mirza in Islamabad after a disturbing video went viral on social media where he could be seen torturing and assaulting a couple. He was also seen stripping the woman in the video.
After the arrest of Usman Mirza, the police further investigated the case which led to the tracing of others.
The incident had occurred in an apartment on E-11/2, the police stated. The flat was in possession of a property dealer from whom the boy had taken its key, the officers said. The six suspects also had a key to the flat and they followed the couple there, reports Dawn.
The police later traced the boy and asked him for his statement on the incident but so far he was not willing to do so, the officer said, adding that, “the boy is so frightened that he refused to give a statement and become a complainant in the case, saying the suspects would kill him and his family”.
Police also reached out to the girl but she refused as well, they added.
When police officials, DIG operations, and SSP operations were contacted by Dawn, they said an investigation had been launched to establish the facts.
About the safety of the girl and the boy, they said efforts and arrangements were being made to take them in protective custody as chances of suicide and honour killing cannot be ruled out.
“Our concern is also to protect the boy and the girl from all risks and danger,” they added. A special investigating team has been constituted to probe the incident, they added.
