    Divya Khosla accuses Alia Bhatt of faking box office collections

    Bollywood actress Divya Khosla has recently made some strong claims against fellow actress Alia Bhatt.

    Divya shared a story on her Instagram on Saturday, saying, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty, all theatres going empty everywhere.”

    She continued, stating, “Alia Bhatt me sach mein Bahut Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent.”

    The official Instagram account of Dharma Movies posted a picture of Jigra’s box office collection during its opening weekend, which was 16.64 crore Indian rupees.

    Jigra has been produced by Karan Johar and written and directed by Vasan Bala.

    Divya’s comments have sparked significant discussion among fans and people in the film industry, but Alia Bhatt has not yet responded to these claims. However, this situation has definitely caught the public’s attention.

    The film Jigra was released in cinemas on October 11, 2024.

    Thrilling trailer of Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movie, Jigra, released

    Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is back with an intense, thrilling role in her upcoming film Jigra.

    The short trailer released yesterday shows Bhatt in all her intensity as she takes off on a rescue mission to free her brother. The teaser is set to a cover of the old classic song ‘Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka’ and promises intense action and emotional depth.
     
    After their parents’ deaths, Bhatt and her brother, played by Vedang Raina, had to survive on their own. Due to their father’s suicide leaving a long shadow over their lives, Alia Bhatt’s character is determined to save her brother from everybody.The film, produced by Karan Johar and written and directed by Vasan Bala Jigra, will be released in cinemas on October 11.

  • 2 underaged girls married off by jigra as tribal fine in Jacobabad

    A jirga in Thull, Jacobabad decided to marry off two minor girls as punishment for their parents’ elopment. According to Aaj News, both the girls are seven years old.

    The jirga had decided on the case of Hajira Mangi, a 30-years-old widow and mother, had eloped with a man, Dadu Mangi, who was also married and had daughters. They were accused of committing karo kari.

    In order to appease Hajira’s family who said that she had gotten married without their permission, village head Zukfiqar Khan Sarqi was asked to step in and resolve the issue. It was decided that both Hajira’s and Dadu’s daughters from their previous marriages would be wedded off to Hajira’s brothers. Furthermore, the couple were ordered to pay Rs 200,000 as a fine. They paid Rs 50,000 and promised to pay the rest in installments.

    According to Aaj News, although jirgas were banned by the Supreme Court in 2019, there has not been a police case filed against the village head or the family for this forced marriage.
