How many times did Junaid Jamshed marry? Son finally reveals details

Babar Junaid Jamshed, son of the late Junaid Jamshed, has spoken on record about his father’s marriages for the first time.

Babar participated as a guest in a podcast.

While answering a question, he revealed that his father, the late Junaid Jamshed, had a total of three marriages.

Babar said, “According to my information, apart from my mother, he had two other wives, one of whom died in the plane crash with my father. Apart from my mother, he had no children from the other two wives; we are only four siblings.”

He said, “I remember that once he asked me that people say your father has had multiple marriages, but tell me if I have ever done injustice to your mother or you people? To which I replied no, Baba, you have fulfilled all your responsibilities and have given us a lot of love. He was satisfied after hearing this.”

Junaid Jamshed died in a plane crash on December 7, 2016.

At the peak of his career, Junaid Jamshed gave up singing and music to embark on the path of preaching.

His last journey was also for the propagation of religion, and he spent the last days of his life in Chitral preaching Islam and inviting people to come towards the true light.

Faisal Kapadia reveals close bond with Junaid Jamshed

One half of the legendary band Strings, Faisal Kapadia, is one of the most well-known and honored musicians in the industry. With his debut solo album, he begins a new journey. Recently, Faisal appeared as a guest on ‘After Hours with Ushna Shah’. During the show, the host asked, “Singing your songs for the first time you performed live on stage in front of an audience, what was that feeling like? Do you remember that?”

Faisal replied, “A big crowd was there, so big that I would say Strings ran through our show. It was in Islamabad, the first concert, in July 1990. And due to nervousness, my voice gave out, so during the sound check, Junaid Jamshed came to see us. We didn’t know him, he was like Vital Signs. They released the album in November 1989, December, and we released ours. We saw them and got inspired when the music program ’89 came. So we recorded our album too, not knowing Vital Signs.”

Kapadia recalled the surprise and encouragement they received from late Junaid Jamshed saying, “Then Junaid just shows up at a sound check, and I was like, ‘Wow.’ And he said, ‘You know, I have heard your music, and you guys are great.’ Junaid’s presence was a big relief.”

Faisal Kapadia talked about the teachers he and Junaid Jamshed had.

“Junaid was very close to me. We used to share the same teacher, Ustaad Chahat Hussain Khan Sahib, who taught me and Junaid. Junaid was my only partner, and sometimes every two or three months, we would sit together and listen to pure classical music. You usually don’t get a chance to listen to 30-minute classical pieces with friends, but Junaid and I would often sit and listen to something like Raga Darbari or Adana Raga, which he really liked. So he was my classical music listening partner,” Faisal Kapadia added.

Strings was formed in Karachi in 1988 by Bilal Maqsood, Faisal Kapadia, Rafiq Wazir Ali and Kareem Bashir Bhoy.

Babur Junaid Jamshed shares his father’s wish for Shahadat

Junaid Jamshed, known for his music and devotion to Islam, left a lasting impact on both, a legacy now carried on by his son.

Recently, Babur Junaid appeared as a guest on the Nadir Ali podcast. He talked about the last conversation with his father and his last wish for martyrdom (Shahadat).

During the podcast, Nadir Ali respectfully requested permission to share Junaid Jamshed’s last voice note, provided by a close friend.

Nadir Ali said, “With your permission, I’d like to discuss your last moments with Junaid Jamshed. I would also like to talk about his last voice note, which was shared by Arsalan Bhai, who used to be with him. I’ve listened to the voice note, and I noticed that Junaid Jamshed often used to say ‘MashaAllah’ and ‘Insha Allah’ frequently, but in his last message, he said, ‘I will come to Karachi’ without adding ‘Insha Allah.’ It seems that Allah had other plans, and it was not meant to be.”.

    Talking about Junaid Jamshed Shahadat

Babur Junaid Jamshed said, “I was at home when we heard about Baba’s news. My mother told me, but there’s something I’ve never told anyone before: he wished for martyrdom. He often said, ‘I acknowledge my faults and wrongdoings; I seek forgiveness,’ which is why he desired martyrdom. Embracing martyrdom was our father’s greatest wish; you wouldn’t believe that he consistently prayed for it. We would become concerned, and my mother would sometimes get upset with his prayers, but that’s how it was.”

Junaid Jamshed was a very good, kind, humble, and friendly person, qualities bestowed upon him by Allah.” Babur added.

Ali Afzal Khan finally reveals why he left the entertainment industry

Ali Afzal Khan was a regular feature on our television screens, playing all sorts of roles. Then suddenly, the actor disappeared, and fans were left wondering what had happened. Khan has finally opened up about what transpired behind his departure from the industry.

Ali has said that he was inspired by singer-turned-preacher, the late Junaid Jamshed, and bid farewell to the showbiz industry.

Talking on a podcast, he said, “I worked in the industry for 20 to 22 years, and during my extensive career, I undertook numerous projects as both an actor and a host. During this time, Junaid Jamshed, who was a renowned Naat reciter and singer, and I, being an actor, often had frequent meetings.”

He began to explore and understand the Holy Quran. However, due to some personal differences, he left hosting duties. “It was during this time that Junaid Jamshed inclined me towards religious preaching. In this period, I spent three days and then 40 days in seclusion, initiating the practice of regular prayer.”

Stressing that it is not easy for an actor who is at the peak of his career to leave it, Khan said, “The decision was difficult for me too but I had made a commitment to myself eight to nine months before leaving showbiz, that I would quit and after that I stopped signing contracts.”

He shared that he is still being offered different roles but he refuses them now.

“But I am still willing to play a historical role, so if someone offers me such a role, I am ready.”

  • Does AP Dhillon’s ‘With You’ sound similar to Pakistan’s ‘Tum Mil Gaye’?

Does AP Dhillon’s ‘With You’ sound similar to Pakistan’s ‘Tum Mil Gaye’?

Is there a slight chance that AP Dhillon’s hit song ‘With You’ is a copy of the same beat that the Vital Signs 90s hit ‘Tum Mil Gaye’ used?

Commentator Ahmer Naqvi raised the question when he pointed out that the first few beats of both songs sound intriguingly similar.

We are placing both songs here and allowing the audience to make their own judgement.

Other X users chimed in to say that they could notice the similarities.

But it seems like AP Dhillon has seemingly debunked these rumors, with a pinned comment by the producer Rebbel below the ‘Without You’ music video which reads:

“This beat is not copied or stolen. It’s produced by me and AP Dhillon rightfully purchased this beat off me and now owns the exclusive rights. I’m grateful to have been part of this record.”
