    Another motorway altercation, video gone viral

    An incident of a group of women allegedly violating the law and misbehaving with the motorway police near Kallar Kahar has come to light.

    A video capturing the confrontation where both sides were accusing each other of wrongdoing has gone viral on social media.

    The incident occurred when the motorway police stopped women drivers for overspeeding and dangerous driving. This was recorded by the police officer as evidence.

    The woman complained of being robbed of her mobile phone and getting bruises on her hand.

    As per The Express Tribune, the disagreement began when the officer started filming the woman without her consent after stopping her for speeding. This action provoked the woman, prompting her to film the officer in return, escalating tensions between the two parties.

    Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Motorway police has initiated legal proceedings against the women involved. Reportedly, they not only disregarded signals to stop but also resorted to verbal abuse and threats against the policeman. The motorway police said that they are pursuing legal action as per established procedures.

    A few days ago, a woman tried to run over a patrol officer on the highway. A video of that altercation also went viral.

    A Shalimar Express bus, en route to Lahore from Islamabad, via M2 motorway, overturned near the Salt Range on Saturday.

    At least ten people have been declared dead while the rescue operation is still underway. Injured people have been admitted to the trauma centre at Kallar Kahar, women and children among them.

    The cause for the accident was overspeeding, as reported by PNN News. According to a witness, the bus was overspeeding at a turn when it broke through the barrier separating the highway. The bus flipped over onto the side of the hill, near Kallar Kahar.

    According to another witness, there were up to 20 passengers in the bus with rescue operations underway to retrieve those still stuck inside.

    At least 15 people including women and children have died and over 60 were injured after a bus overturned on M2 near Kallar Kahar late on Saturday night.
    The bus was carrying wedding guests on its way to Rawalpindi. The brakes of the vehicle failed near Kallar Kahar, where the bus broke through road barriers and plowed into cars traveling on the other side of the road before overturning.
    Shortly thereafter, rescue and police personnel reached the spot and shifted the injured and the dead to a hospital. The death toll may rise as many of the injured are in critical condition.
    Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed grief on the accident and ordered that the injured should be provided all possible relief.
