    Former Indian Punjab Minister and Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, once the heart and soul of The Great Indian Kapil Show, has made an unexpected return to the stage, much to the excitement of the show’s fans. Sidhu, famous for his infectious laughter, sharp one liners and poetic flair, played a pivotal role in making the shows successful and enigmatic until his controversy-laced exit in 2019.

    Even Sidhu’s statement during Pulwama attack 2019 created ruckus in India and extremist Hindus had demanded that he should be removed from the show.

    After Sidhu departure, actress Archana Puran Singh took over his chair and has been a regular presence on the show alongside Kapil. 


    The Great Indian Kapil Show episode featuring Navjot Singh Sidhu will premiere on Netflix on Saturday, November 16.

    Recently, The Great Indian Kapil Show released its latest promo that surprised fans by showing Navjot Sindh Sidhu back in his chair.     Sidhu humorously takes his seat while Archana Puran Singh jokes with Kapil Sharma, asking for her chair back. The unexpected twist has sent waves of excitement through the show’s fan base. 


    The promo for the show reveals Navjot Singh Sidhu comfortably seated in the judge’s chair, while Kapil jokes about Sunil Grover adopting Sidhu’s appearance once again.     Sidhu quickly clarifies that he’s the real deal! Moments later, a visibly concerned Archana Puran Singh appears, anxious about potentially losing her seat to the original judge, Sidhu. She turns to Kapil and anxiously asks if she’s been replaced.

    Navjot Sidhu has reunited with the show’s team after five years.  

    Sidhu shared the promo on his instagram acount with the caption, T”he Home Run ….. @kapilsharma @whosunilgrover @navjot1618 @harbhajan3.”

    Fans flooded social media with excitement, celebrating Navjot’s return with messages and likes. One fan wrote, “Welcome back, Sidhu, missed you!” while another said, “The king is back!” 

    Many fans expressed how much they missed his presence, saying, “Legend is back., Missed you, paaji!”     and “So good to see you back on the show. This show was never the same without you.”
    With Sidhu’s return, The Great Indian Kapil Show seems to have regained its charm, delighting its loyal audience once again.

    Earlier, Bollywood filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, maker of the biopic ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, revealed that actor-comedian Kapil Sharma was his second choice if Diljit Dosanjh had declined the film.

    In an episode of Kapil Sharma Imtiaz Ali’s , the cast and director of ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ discussed their experiences making the movie. Kapil Sharma shared that A.R. Rahman had called him for a role in the film, but Sharma couldn’t respond as he was out of town and still regrets it.

    “I met Rahman sir one day, and he said, ‘I called you for Chamkila’. I think he wanted me to sing a song or something. I thought he was just sweet-talking with me.”

    “I felt really bad,” the comedian said. “I cried the whole night because of it. It was unfortunate that we couldn’t speak to each other because we were overseas.”

    Imtiaz Ali added that Rahman had also talked to him about Sharma’s singing. Ali informed Sharma that if Diljit didn’t take the role, Sharma would have been their next choice.

    Ali said, “Rahman sir said to me, ‘I mentioned your singing as well.’ If Diljit couldn’t do this film, we only had one more choice, which was you.”

    In the previous episode, something went wrong because of which Akshay became angry. And now finally Kapil has reacted to the controversy. The comedian took to his Twitter handle and cleared the misunderstanding.

    Kapil writes, “Dear friends, was reading all the news in media about me n Akshay paji, I have jus spoke to paji n sorted all this, it was jus a miss communication, all is well n very soon we r meeting to shoot Bachchan Pandey episode. He is my big bro n can never be annoyed with me thank you.” Till now Akshay has not responded to it. The row started when the actor came to promote Atrangi Re.

    While the question was not aired, it later leaked and went viral. This made Akshay angry and he had refused to be on Kapil’s show to promote his film, Bachchan Pandey.

    Apart from Akshay, it also stars Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to be released theatrically on 18 March 2022. It is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda and it starred Varun Tej and Pooja Hegde.

    Indian comedian Sunil Grover has been diagnosed with a heart ailment for which he has had heart surgery and is now admitted in a Mumbai hospital, reports Bollywood Life.

    A source close to Grover, who rose to fame on Comedy Nights with Kapil, revealed that he is currently admitted at the Asian Heart Institute in Bandra, Mumbai where he is recuperating from the surgery.

    According to News18, Grover, who had been shooting for a web show, was forced to undergo the important procedure after doctors detected a blockage in his heart.

    Grover, 44, became a household name thanks to his comedy stints as Gutthi and Dr Mashoor Gulati on the hit Indian TV shows Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. 

    Senior actress Simi Garewal also took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Am shocked that @WhoSunilGrover has had heart surgery. Filling our hearts with laughter & joy..at the cost of his own… I pray he recovers fast.. He has a formidable talent..& I’m a huge fan!!”

    As reported by News18, the actor has been diagnosed with blockages in his heart. The actor was filming for his upcoming series in Pune before he left for his surgery.
