Rs8 crore becomes unexpected star of ‘Sunn Mere Dil’

What do you get when a drama revolves around a number that’s never been seen but constantly mentioned?

The obsession with ‘8 crore’ in Sunn Mere Dil has taken the drama by storm, but not in the way fans would expect.

Controversial writer Khail Ur Rehman Qamar, known for his misogynistic scripts and problematic plots, previously faced heavy criticism for ‘2 takay ke larki’, one of the dialogues from ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’, and now, he is facing the same backlash for the constant use of ‘8 crore’ in Sunn Mere Dil.

The ‘8 crore’ reference is to the conversation when Sadaf learns that her brother, Zaviyar, has cancer. The doctor says he could survive with a transplant, but the treatment is only available in the U.S. Sadaf goes to Bilal Abdullah’s office, where she meets him and asks for help. She requests him to lend her eight crore, saying, “Whatever you ask, I will do it.” Bilal agrees, signs the cheque, and hands it to her.

Maya Ali and Wahaj Ali play the lead roles in Sunn Mere Dil, however, despite the hype, the execution has not had a positive response from fans.

Maya Ali portrays Sadaf, and Wahaj Ali plays Bilal Abdullah.

The script and character development have left viewers disappointed, with many questioning the storyline that seems to lack coherence.

Now, ‘8 crore’ is the most discussed subject on social media as it has been persistently used in a number of episodes.

Instagram blogger Miss Malik compiled a list of the many times ‘8 crore’ is referenced, and so far, it has been used 13 times in the drama.

This is followed by another repeated dialogue: “crore chahiye” and “Mirza Shahab ne mujhe bola, please sir, peete waqt meri beti ko discus mat kare” said by Bilal played by Wahaj Ali.

Fans have been vocal about their frustration with the constant repetition of 8 crores and its impact on the drama.

    Here’s how fans are reacting:

A fan commented, “I can’t believe they keep talking about 08 crore like it’s just pocket change. The drama’s plot should be more than just this number.”

Another fan jokingly commented, 8 “Whole drama is dancing around 8 crore8 crore crying in corner8 croor q chahiye, BMW M5 f90 leni hei. Bro. Isliya.”

A viewer couldn’t contain their amusement and commented, “The 8 crore obsession is so intense, and I’m starting to feel like I need it too. Who else is watching this drama just for that magic number?”

Sun Mere Dil features a talented cast, including Amar Khan, Saba Hamid, Hira Mani, Usama Khan, Syed Mohammed Ahmed, and Shavir Kadwani.

Written by controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and directed by Haseeb Hassan, ‘Sunn Mere Dil’ may have missed the mark in some areas, but one thing is for sure: ‘8 crore’ has taken over the conversation.

‘I did my job as an actor’: Zahid Ahmed on playing a toxic character in Gentleman

Actor Zahid Ahmed, known for his performances in Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Naimat, and 101 Talaqain, talked about his character in the drama serial Gentleman.

During the launch of Shark Tank, Something Haute host Hassan Chaudhary said, “I have to ask about Faris for those who are really enjoying Faris’s performance, what would you like to say to them?”

Zahid replied, “I don’t love that character, I don’t even hate that character, I just did my job as an actor. For me, it’s enough that Humayun Bhai personally contacted me and asked me to play this character. It was a pleasure working with Humayun Saeed, Yumna, Adnan Siddiqui, and Sohail, so it was amazing; you just do your job when you sign it. I was up for it because I had never had the opportunity to work with him.”

Talking about Faris, Ahmed said, “You signed it, you do the job, man.”

Gentlemen is directed by Haissam Hussain and written by controversial writer Khalil Ur-Rehman Qamar. It airs on Green Entertainment on Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

  • Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s honey trap suspects in judicial custody

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s honey trap suspects in judicial custody

Judge Khalid Arshad has ruled over nine suspects in Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s honey trap case.

The case dates back to July 15, 2024, when Qamar, a controversial drama writer, was allegedly kidnapped and robbed in Lahore. He reported to the police on July 21 after his rescue, an alleged release after a ransom payment.

According to Qamar’s lawyer, he was invited to a woman’s place – Amna Arooj – for a discussion on a drama project when he was said to have been kidnapped by armed men.

Amna’s lawyer, however, argues a seemingly differing version of events, claiming Qamar’s manager first professionally contacted her, only to ultimately make it personal, after which Qamar allegedly made demands for sexual acts.

He further added that Qamar, apparently intoxicated, persuaded her to engage physically with him or he would blackmail her by outing her fake nude photos.

Hasan Shah reportedly orchestrated the kidnapping and made the videos of the two that went viral on social media, but the evidence to date appears limited by the officers.

Amna Arooj claims she was tortured by the police and that that they have falsely labelled the events a honey trap case.

‘Held at gunpoint and forced’: Khalilur Rehman Qamar shares reason for sex tape

Controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has finally broken his silence about the leaked video that has been making headlines for weeks.

During a call, journalist Muneezay Moeen asked Khalil Ur Rehman about sex tape, to which he responded, “I was held at gunpoint and forced into a horrific situation. They demanded that I perform an intimate act with her, which they wanted to film. I was forced to remove my shirt, but I was in a state of deep depression and couldn’t bring myself to do it. I told them it was impossible for me, and thankfully, they left me alone and didn’t force me further. It was a traumatic experience that I will never forget.”

The video came out just as Hassan Shah, the mastermind of the honey trap that resulted in the writer’s kidnapping for ransom, was arrested. In an interview with Aik Pakistan hosted by Syed Ali Haider, the unknown man threatened that he would release the videos he has.

The video is in clear contradiction of the misogynistic writer’s account of what happened that night. He said in a police press conference that he went to the woman’s house at 4:40 am “to discuss a drama project.” When asked by a reporter about why he went that late to an unknown woman’s house, he said that he had been advised by his doctor to avoid sunlight for five years.

This will not be the first time that Qamar has landed himself in hot water. Qamar is known for speaking his mind, but his views often spark controversy. He has faced criticism for his comments on feminism and gender issues, and many of his statements have ignited debates and discussions.

Hassan Shah and his accomplice, Rafiq, were taken into custody in Peshawar. Shah is accused of leading a 12-member gang, including women that allegedly trapped Qamar and then released compromising videos of him.

A video allegedly showing controversial writer Khalil ur Rehman Qamar getting intimate with the woman who orchestrated his kidnapping has popped up on social media.

A man who looks like Qamar can be seen in the video talking to a woman while both are seated very close together on a double-seated sofa. He is also smoking.

A short while later, he is seen without a shirt, kissing the woman. The video cuts off at that point.

The video came out just as Hassan Shah, the mastermind of the honey trap that resulted in the writer’s kidnapping for ransom was arrested. In an interview, the then unknown man had threatened that he will release the videos he has.

  • ‘I have indecent videos of Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar’, says main kidnapping suspect

‘I have indecent videos of Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar’, says main kidnapping suspect

The main suspect in the kidnapping of controversial writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar has claimed to Aik News HD’s Syed Haider Ali that he has two videos of Qamar, each one and a half hours long, where he wants to get intimate with the woman who honey-trapped him.

Hassan Raza, the main suspect, introduced himself as a real estate agent. He affirmed that he is in possession of a video where Qamar is drinking alcohol and swearing while being drunk. He said that the police have taken all the video evidence from his place. However, he is still in possession of a memory card that contains videos of Qamar.

Raza proclaimed that Khalil has lied to the police and hoped the police will listen to him.

The anchor then asked, “Is it true that Qamar came on his own and the woman did not convince the writer to meet with her to discuss the drama project?” To which Raza replied, “Regarding Amna, Qamar kept kissing her feet. He filed an FIR against us to obtain all these videos.”

The anchor further asked, “According to the police, you used the woman to honey trap Qamar, is the police not telling the truth?”

The culprit replied that Qamar did everything himself. “He used to message Amna first. If the police get the call data record (CDR) of Qamar’s phone, they will find out who is guilty.”

  • KRQ says kidnappers named two VERY famous actors

KRQ says kidnappers named two VERY famous actors

Controversial writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar has claimed that his kidnappers named actors Noman Ijaz and Saba Qamar during his abduction.

In a podcast interview, Qamar recounted his kidnapping, explaining that he hesitated to file a report because the kidnappers had named Noman Ijaz and Saba Qamar.

“I dislike Noman Ijaz, but he is an outstanding actor. Despite my differences with Saba Qamar, I admire her acting. These are not the kind of people who would do such a thing,” Qamar said, implying that the kidnappers were trying to confuse him.

Qamar expressed surprise at the support he received from Indian fans during the ordeal, noting the contrast with the hostility and mockery he faced in Pakistan. “I didn’t know the kidnappers’ motives. I was just worried about my wife and daughters. When they tortured me, I told them to kill me if they wanted,” he added.

He shared that his wife now wants to leave Pakistan due to the distress caused by the incident, but he remains deeply attached to his homeland and has no plans to emigrate.

The kidnapping and robbery took place last week in Lahore. According to the police, a woman called Qamar on his phone and invited him to her house to discuss a drama project. When he arrived, armed men abducted him and carried out the robbery.

The internet had little sympathy for the misogynistic writer, who is known for misbehaving with many women. He has also said that he is waging a war against feminists.
