Who is Khaled Anam calling unqualified celebrities?

In the field of entertainment and television, Khaled Anam stands out not only for outstanding acting skills but also for being very candid.

The actor cum singer was no less candid when he appeared as a guest on ‘Haute Talk with Hassan Choudhary’. Anam expressed frustration with unqualified critics who share negative opinions on social media about drama serials.

Hassan Choundhary asked “So, what feedback are you receiving feedback about ‘Gentleman’ from friends, family, views, and fans?”

Anam replied, “Gentleman has been getting good feedback till now. Most importantly, people like the character of a progressive father. He is a strong character, and I am hoping that I am able to portray it well. But then there is this program on television, where actresses showed up and were reviewing dramas, and according to them, it is this very bad character who is trying to get his daughter involved with a man.”

The Gentlemen actor went on to say, “They took it badly, that’s their opinion. These things shouldn’t be happening. Reviewers need to be qualified to critique a drama, based to what we were taught during our theater training.”

Anam emphasized the importance of qualified criticism:

“A person cannot critique something if they haven’t studied theater. You have no right to criticize something just because you don’t like it. Only someone who has studied acting and theater can give criticism. It’s okay, they’re just friends, and they’re just doing a show. Apart from that, social media is a really dangerous thing because everyone believes they have the right to criticize and degrade others.”

Here is the video of Nadia Khan who talked about Zarnab’s father.

Saheefa Jabbar, television actor and model, has starred in many popular Pakistani dramas. She’s also a successful model, endorsing several top clothing brands and collaborating with outstanding Pakistani fashion designers. Recently, Saheefa shared her experience of dealing with depression on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast. “I’ve been experiencing depression since 2013, but I didn’t realize it at first. I thought I was just reacting to unfavorable situations. Eventually, I noticed that my panic attacks persisted, even though I had a good life with loving parents, money, and a kind husband. That’s when I realized I was dealing with depression and severe anxiety.”

She also said, “I didn’t have much exposure and knowledge about depression because I belong to a middle-class family where most people just had their normal graduation degrees and no awareness of things like mental health,” Saheefa said, “A therapist should be concerned about the health of his/her patients.”

Saheefa revealed that despite receiving amazing support from her husband and brother, who take care of her, she still struggles with anxiety and depression, making healing a challenging journey for her. Reflecting on her difficult period with depression during her flight to Canada, Saheefa said, “I informed the flight crew about my condition as I had already consumed thirty pills, anticipating severe panic attacks. I was regularly taking antidepressants every few hours, and I have no recollection of my meeting with my husband. I recall being unstable for days, during which I isolated myself, and my husband provided constant care. My husband’s kindness has been instrumental in keeping me alive. His unwavering support in both Canada and Pakistan has been my lifeline.”

Saheefa added, “I’ll never do an item song. I won’t work with Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar. He might behave badly.”

  • Maryam Nafees will not work with Khalil Ur- Rehman Qamar

Maryam Nafees will not work with Khalil Ur- Rehman Qamar

Actress Maryam Nafees recently took the decision of not working with controversial script writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar. “I won’t work on any TV drama written by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar,” she said, explaining her choice on a TV show. “It’s because of different beliefs, not because Qamar isn’t talented. I wants to work on projects that match my values.”

She’s worried about how Qamar shows women in his dramas, even though she respects his skills. Nafees wants to support women’s rights and feels she can’t do that by working with him.

Qamar has often picked fights with actresses and female analysts over his misogynistic comments. Actress and former supermodel Iffat Umar recently refused to engage with him, criticizing Qamar for his narrow-mindedness and bitterness. This confrontation reflects mounting industry frustration with Qamar’s controversial remarks and treatment of women. In a TV appearance, Qamar dismissed Miss Pakistan 2022 winner Sana Hayat’s experiences, sparking further debate about gender equality and respect in the entertainment industry. Women are hesitant to work with him because they believe his beliefs and comments harm women’s progress and representation in the industry.
