    Aik, do, teen….. nahin, pooray sau; Khushab’s ‘Madhuri’ loots 100 men

    A Khushab woman named Nasreen, also known as Madhuri, has been accused of marrying more than 100 people in the last eight years to steal money from them. She was finally arrested by the police from Khushab along with her gang of dacoits, reports City 42.

    A differently-abled man named Junaid made a request in the open court of DPO Khushab Tawqir Muhammad Naeem, stating that a woman named Nasreen married him but ran away after two days, stealing household goods and cash.

    It was found out that Nasreen alias Madhuri is a resident of Quaidabad Tehsil of Khushab. Further investigations revealed that the woman had cheated several people along with a gang which included her fake parents and a fraudulent nikahkhwan.

    Police arrested the con woman and her gang, while Junaid was returned his three lacs rupees. Police officials have revealed that the gang’s operating style involved luring men into marriage and then exploiting them.

    PML-N wins PP-84 Khushab by-poll

    Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Moazzam Sher Kallu has won the PP-84 Khushab by-election with a significant margin. Kallu came out on top with 73,081 votes and retained the seat that was vacated after the death of PML-N lawmaker Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu in March.

    Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Ali Hussain Baloch was the runner-up with 62,903 votes. Kallu’s margin of victory is 10,178 votes.

    PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the public and winning candidate Moazzam Sher Kallu. “The people of Khushab have rejected the wheat and sugar thieves,” Sharif was quoted

    Maryam Nawaz celebrated the Khushab victory on Twitter. She said “people in every city have declared Nawaz Sharif’s victory” and derided those who wanted to “minus Nawaz Sharif”.

    “Look at the works of Allah! Only Nawaz Sharif is left [standing], while everyone else has been cut out,” added Maryam.

    A total of eight candidates stood in the race. Besides the PML-N and PTI candidates, PPP’s Ghulam Habib Ahmed was in the running, as well the banned TLP’s Asghar Ali. The independents included Amjad Raza, Aurangzeb, Imran Haider Khan, and Ilyas Khan Azad.

    The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said in a statement that “no untoward situation of law and order has been reported at the polling station”.

    Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari congratulated the President PML-N Shehbaz Sharif, for the win in PP-84 by-polls.

    Gang of ‘half-naked robbers’ spark fear among residents of Khushab

    A gang of half-naked robbers consecutively looted five houses in one night spreading panic among residents of Khushab.

    Police said five half-naked dacoits have robbed five houses in the city’s Azeem Town, Gulshir Town, Shehzad Town, and Canal Rest House areas last night.

    “The gang applied mustard oil on their bodies to escape the police arrest.”

    In a CCTV video shared on media, they can be seen firing in the air after the robberies.

    Police further said that cases have been registered against the culprits and that a search to apprehend them is underway.
