Minor Girl father Mehdi Kazmi has filed a new case in the Sindh High Court for the recovery of his daughter. He has alleged that Zaheer Ahmed had kidnapped his daughter.
The petition submitted by The Minor’s father stated that his daughter was 13 years, 11 months, and 19 days old when she was kidnapped by Zaheer Ahmed.
It also stated that all NADRA documents, educational certificates, passports, and birth certificates are available as evidence.
The petition asserts that her marriage with Zaheer is a violation of the 2016 Punjab Restoration Marriage Act. According to a new report by a six-member medical board, which established the adolescent’s age to be between 15 and 16. The petition sought The Minor’s recovery.
Previously, The Minor’s age had been established by a medical board to be between 16 and 17, but the findings of the board had been challenged on a technicality.
After Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti ordered the police to rescue a girl kidnapped in broad daylight from the Shadbagh neighbourhood by Sunday evening, police retrieved her.
The accused was apprehended in Arifwala and the girl was found. The victim, a 10th-grade student, was riding back home after taking the exam, with her brother when the motorcycle was hit by a car. Two armed men exited the vehicle, one grabbing the girl’s hand and forcing her inside the vehicle, while the other man aimed his rifle at her brother, preventing him from resisting. The kidnappers drove away after abducting the teenager.
The LHC chief justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti took notice of the event and instructed the IG Punjab to rescue the woman and present her in court. In connection with the case, the IGP, the CCPO, and other senior officers appeared before the Chief Justice on Sunday, promising to rescue the girl before the deadline.
Kidnapper Abid was the girl’s ex-fiance, according to the CCPO Lahore. The perpetrator kidnapped the victim because he was bitter about the end of their engagement. The kidnappers promptly turned off their cellphones following the event. The girl was rescued from Arifwala and the culprits were apprehended after the IG enlisted the help of the IB and CTD.
Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has ordered the arrest of policemen involved in the escape of a convicted criminal who was also accused of kidnapping Dua Mangi.
The accused, Zohaib Ali, fled from police custody. After learning about the incident, CM Shah has directed the inspector-general (IG) of police to arrest the accused.
The chief minister was told that Zohaib, along with four others accused, was brought before the court of Judicial Magistrate VII East on January 27, 2022. The accused had received the next date of hearing and was escorted back to the jail by the head constable, Naveed, and constable Zafar Habib, reports Geo News.
The report said that in involvement with Naveed, the accused used a private car to buy shoes from Tariq road and escaped from there due to the negligence of the head constable.
It may be noted that accused Zohaib is convicted in Dua Mangi case and has been sentenced to rigorous imprisonment of three years with a fine of Rs20,000.
Dua Mangi was kidnapped on November 30, 2019. The Karachi-based teenager, who was kidnapped from outside a restaurant in Karachi’s DHA was kidnapped for ransom. She has returned home a week later.
Police arrested a pregnant woman for kidnapping a newborn boy from a charity hospital in Karachi’s Baldia Town on Thursday. The baby was recovered during a police raid at her house.
According to the police, the accused Sabiha told during the initial inquiry that a nurse had sold the baby to her for Rs 30,000.
As per reports, the woman, who was 37 weeks pregnant and a mother of two daughters, confessed that she committed the crime under pressure from her in-laws to bear a boy. After the medical report, the woman found out that she was expecting a girl after which she decided to kidnap a baby boy around her delivery date to “avert social pressure”.
Police said that they did not find the husband of the accused involved in the crime. The woman has been handed over to the Anti-Violence Cell and an investigation is underway.
Atallah, the uncle of the abducted child, said that the rescue of the child was carried out with the help of a lady doctor and her brother.
The cloth wrapped around the newborn was shown on social media and TV channels with the news that a woman had kidnapped the child and escaped from the municipal hospital.
The lady doctor’s brother chased the suspect and visited the house. He informed the police after which the child was recovered.
Kashif Zameer, famed for defrauding Turkish actor Engin Altan Düzyatan has allegedly made an attempt to kidnap YouTuber Ali Virk.
According to reports, Kashif went to Hafizabad to meet Virk and tried to kidnap him there. However, the YouTuber jumped out of a moving car to save himself and injured himself severely in the process.
Talking about the incident, Virk said: “Kashif came to meet me in the garden and tried to kidnap me but I jumped out of the car.”
As per details, Virk resides in Turkey and Zameer stayed there with him for a few days when he visited Turkey last year. Reports have suggested that Virk has evidence against Kashif regarding his deal with Engin which is why Zameer tried to kidnap him.
Virk further said that Kashif had asked him to visit him in Lahore several times but when he refused, Kashif came to Hafizabad. Virk also alleged that Kashif visited him with the intention of murdering him.
Kashif has been involved in a controversy regarding a deal with Diriliş: Ertuğrul star Engin Altan Düzyatan.
In December 2020, when Engin Altan visited Pakistan, he was hosted by Zameer in Lahore. Later, it was reported that Zameer struck a deal worth one million dollars with the Turkish actor butpaid only half of it. Zameer, later trashed the rumours saying that Engin had assured him that the deal will not be disbanded.
However, on February 16, Düzyatan, in a statement said, that he no longer represents Zameer’s Chaudhry Group of Industries as brand ambassador.
A 19-year-old man in the United States tried to skip work by faking his own kidnapping.
The boyBrandon Soules faked his kidnapping in order to skip work but his stunt did not last long as the police found out the truth and arrested him for false reporting.
According to details, on February 10, local police found Soules with his hands tied and mouth stuffed with a cloth. After being ‘saved’ by the police, the teenager claimed two men tied him and hit him till he fell unconscious. He further said that the two men drove him in a car and released him in the area where the police found him.
The police found out that the entire episode was fake and the youth made up the whole story himself. During the investigations, the teen confessed to his actions. Soules accepted that he made up the story because he was trying to get out of work.

A police team has been formed to probe the kidnapping and week-long torture of a woman lawyer, Advocate Irshad Nasreen, who was recovered from Mailsi, the district police officer (DPO) has said.
The DPO, while formally announcing the woman’s recovery, said the special team, comprising the superintendent of police (SP) for investigation, Shamsul Haq, and two deputy superintendents of police (DSPs), was tasked with searching for and arresting the kidnappers.
The police officer noted that a FIR [First Information Report] — including charges of kidnapping — was registered on behalf of the woman’s son on August 22.
The special team was investigating the case in light of her recorded statement, Geo quoted the cop as saying.
The woman has been shifted to the Dipalpur Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, the police officer said.
A resident of Dipalpur, police had earlier told media that Nasreen was recovered in a semi-conscious state from a field near Dhoda Road in Mailsi. She was found with her hands and legs tied and unable to speak.
The day she was recovered, police said she told them she had been kidnapped from her office by unidentified men on August 14.
A viral video that followed her recovery showed the lawyer in a traumatised state.
Further investigation was underway, police added.
On Monday, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan also reportedly took notice of the incident after the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) issued a statement condemning incidents of targeted killings, kidnappings and incidents of torture of lawyers.
In the statement, PBC Vice Chairperson Abid Saqi strongly condemned the incident, saying the increasing lawlessness in Pakistan was extremely concerning. Five lawyers have been shot dead in targeted killing so far, including four in Punjab and one in Sindh, he said.
Three lawyers in Lahore, Pakpattan, Sialkot were kidnapped and tortured, Saqi added.
The PBC official said the torture and abduction of the woman lawyer was extremely worrisome. The woman lawyer, he added, was tortured continuously for six days after her abduction.
She was recovered in a very critical condition in the fields in Mailsi, he added.
Saqi further said these incidents of violence have made lawyers vulnerable and their safety compromised. The government’s indifference to targeted killings, kidnappings, and violence in just three weeks was reprehensible, he added.
It was the duty of the government and the administration to improve the law and order situation, he said, lamenting that the incumbent leadership had failed to protect its citizens.
The official said the current situation called into question the ability of the government. He demanded action against those involved in the targeted killings, kidnapping, and torture of lawyers.
Meanwhile, according to reports, she was once kidnapped earlier in October 2019 as well.

The hearing of the case was in the court of the Judicial Magistrate South, Karachi. At the beginning of the hearing, Dua identified the kidnappers who were presented before her in the court.
They were identified as Zohaib Qureshi and Muzaffar. Dua Mangi in her statement before the court said Zohaib and Muzaffar along with their partners had kidnapped her from outside a restaurant in Karachi.
On March 18, the police had arrested two accused from different areas in the country in Dua Mangi and Bisma kidnapping cases.
Additional IG Ghulam Nabi Memon confirmed that the five-member kidnappers’ gang that was behind Dua and Bisma’s kidnapping was led by an ousted police officer.
Taking action on the intelligence reports, the police conducted raids in different areas of the country and arrested the two suspects, he added.
Memon had said that the gang had taken cue for the kidnapping from movies.
The prime suspect in the Dua Mangi kidnapping case has reportedly been caught while trying to escape the country.
As per reports, the wanted suspect was caught while boarding an airplane from Islamabad Airport as he was trying to leave the country.
The suspect, Muddasir is one of the many wanted by the law enforcement agencies for his involvement in the high-profile kidnapping that took place last year.
Earlier on March 3, investigation agencies claimed a major breakthrough in the investigations of kidnapping incidents of two girls, Bisma and Dua in Karachi.
Investigation agencies have traced the gang involved in two kidnapping incidents, sources said adding that the agencies have also traced three hideouts of the alleged abductors in the city.
