  • King Charles appears healthy in jolly public appearance with Prince William

Britain’s King Charles recently revealed that as a side effect of his cancer treatment, he lost his sense of taste. Despite the setback, the monarch appeared healthy and cheerful as he joined his son, Prince William, in a significant public event.

During a ceremony on Monday, King Charles bestowed an important military role upon Prince William, marking a rare occasion where both father and son were present together. The event signified the King’s return to public duties following his battle with cancer.

Amidst laughter, Charles conferred upon William the title of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, a position the monarch held for 32 years as Prince of Wales. The ceremony occured in front of an Apache helicopter, with soldiers witnessing the event at the Army Flying Museum in southern England. William later flew the aircraft.

Speaking proudly of his son’s past achievements, Charles commended the heir apparent’s skills as a pilot, highlighting his previous service in flying helicopters for Britain’s Royal Air Force, particularly in search and rescue missions.

The engagement marked Charles’ first official task since resuming work at the end of April, following a three-month hiatus for cancer treatment. Similarly, William, aged 41, took a break from his official duties in March and April to support his wife during her chemotherapy treatment to prevent cancer. William shared on Friday that his wife is “doing well.”

Expressing both sadness and optimism during the handover ceremony, Charles bid farewell to his role with the Army Air Corps, expressing confidence in the Corps’ future under his son’s leadership. He was grateful to all involved and proud of his longstanding association with the Corps.

  • Prince William not ready to reconcile with brother Prince Harry, despite Kate Middleton’s efforts

Prince William not ready to reconcile with brother Prince Harry, despite Kate Middleton’s efforts

Since Prince Harry made public his feud with brother Prince William and his wife Princess Kate over what he said was their reluctance to accept Meghan Markle, reports reveal that the two brothers are no longer on speaking terms with each other. However, it seems like Princess Kate has been doing her best behind the scenes to ensure that the two brothers can resolve their differences and become good friends like they were before.

Royal author Robert Jobson revealed to The Express that King Charles III is desperate to meet his grand children, and Kate has been making her best efforts to ensure that the situation is ressolved:

“I’m not sure how much dialogue there is with William and Harry, at the moment, I think the only person that is helping the situation is Catherine, who is doing a brilliant job. First of all when the king wants to see his grandchildren, for example, it’s important to say that a lot of it has been through Catherine. But William and Harry, it’s a difficult one. I think as brothers they are more likely to get on the phone and have a conversation.”

    Jobson added:

“It’s quite possible that one of them might pick up the phone to have a rant, but who’s gonna pick up the phone on the other end? Because that’s not gonna achieve anything. There’s also a lot of lack of trust. At the moment between all the members of the family and Harry about where this information is going, because a lot of stuff has appeared in print by him.”

The two brothers have reportedly zero communication with one another, a report by The Express claims. A few days ago the royal family website removed Prince Harry’s titles from their website, proving that Harry was no longer invited to the royal inner circle.

Jobson saif that Harry had made enemies with Queen Camilla, and that King Charles III was allowing the ‘dust to settle’:

“There is zero communication between father and second son, he has made enemies of William and Camilla, even Catherine. If Harry was in any doubt he was out, that website update has left him in no doubt. The move to strip them – or technically not allow usage of – the Sussex title was right. It wasn’t vindictive, just clear, proper ands right – if a little slow, but that’s the palace for you and all this ‘new fangled technology’.”

All the awkward, funny, and heart-warming moments at King Charles’ Coronation, Concert

The coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla took place at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday, May 6. The ceremony commemorated Charles’ role as monarch of the United Kingdom after he acceded to the throne upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022.
According to a press release issued by Buckingham Palace, over 2,200 individuals, which included members of the royal family, politicians, international royals, and world leaders, attended the televised ceremony.

The official coronation concert took place on May 7. Have a look at the some of the major moments from both events.

    Anne’s hat:

Prince Harry attended his father’s coronation alone, while his wife Meghan Markle stayed in California to take care of their children and celebrate Archie’s birthday.

A red feather in Princess Anne’s hat obstructed Harry’s face from the view of the camera. Social media users are joking that the placement of the feather cannot be accidental.

Some also said that a candle played the same role at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in obstructing a clear view of Meghan.

Prince Louis singing the wrong national anthem:

Crowd favourite Prince Louis was the focus of many people’s attention as he attended the Coronation service.
The five-year-old royal accidentally sang God Save The Queen instead of God Save The King at the end of the service.

    Winnie the Pooh:

A video of the cartoon of Winnie the Pooh talking to Piglet about King Charles III’s love for red squirrels and the names he gave them was also played.
Winnie the Pooh then opened a door holding a balloon which said “King Charles III Coronation”.

    Katty perry’s dress:

A special note was embroidered on the inside of pop star Katty Perry’s concert dress.

A photograph showed the inside of the bustier of the dress, which was embroidered with the words: “KATY PERRY. CHARLES III. 2023. VW.”

The embroidery included a small crown sewed next to the King’s name. “VW” indicated the initials of famed designer Vivian Westwood, who died last December.

Tom Cruise Tells King Charles ‘You Can Be My Wingman’ at Coronation Concert:

  • Royals made about £2 million by selling horses given as gifts

King Charles III and Queen Elizabeth II have profited almost £2 million from the sale of horses given by notable statesmen including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum of Dubai, Prince Faisal of Saudi Arabia and Qatar’s al-Thani family, The Guardian has reported.

These were private presents, Buckingham Palace has claimed.

The late Queen had a history of accepting gifts of horses; during a state visit to West Germany in 1978, she was given two horses. Questions are being raised about guidelines for royal family for accepting gifts.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the Emir of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, is by far the queen’s most benevolent supplier of racing and breeding stock. At least 34 horses presented to the royals appear to have come from him.

Estimate, who handed the queen one of her most cherished victory on the track in the 2013 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot, is said to have been among the five horses Prince Shah Karim al-Husseini, the Aga Khan, gifted to the royal family.

Elizabeth received a total of 41 horses that competed in races during the past 15 years, racing in royal colours, according to a Guardian study.

Over the past ten years, 29 of them were put up for auction in public and brought in a total of £1.93 million.

  • Royal family skips invitation to Harry, Meghan’s daughter’s christening

Royal family skips invitation to Harry, Meghan’s daughter’s christening

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter Lilibet has been christened last Friday in an intimate gathering of around 20 to 30 guests. However, none of Harry’s royal family were present, despite being invited.

A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that Lilibet Diana was christened last week on Friday by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, Reverend John Taylor.

Among the attendees were Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, Lilibet’s godfather, Tyler Perry, and another unnamed godmother.

Since the release of Prince Harry’s controversial biography ‘Spare’, there have been extensive reports of the divide between the younger son of King Charles and royal family members, who had also recently asked Harry and Meghan to leave Frogmore Cottage, where the family had stayed during their trips to Britain.

British media has reported that the King will offer them an apartment at Buckingham Palace instead.

When contacted by media outlets, the Palace did not comment on “personal invitations” as is routine.

Harry and Meghan were officially invited to King Charles’ coronation, scheduled to take place in May. The Duke and Duchess are yet to confirm if they will attend what is perhaps the most important day in Charles life.

  • Charles facing trouble finding performers for coronation

King Charles III’s coronation is finally taking place on May 6, however, the royal family has had to face disappointment as their preferred British singers were either unavailable or declined the invitation to perform.

According to Mail Online, Charles was very keen to have Adele and Ed Sheeran on board. However, they both are unavailable. Adele has not given a reason, but Sheeran has said that he will be performing in Texas on the date.

Harry Styles and Elton John will also be on tour and unavailable in May.

The Spice Girls had agreed to perform but are now out of the lineup after Victoria Beckham once again refused to do a live show.

Despite the absence of some big names in the industry, the concert will still feature impressive headliners, including Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and more.

Performers from across the pond, including Lionel Richie and Kylie Minogue, are in talks for an appearance.

  • Prince George warns his classmates to ‘watch out’ because his dad Prince William will be king one day

Prince George warns his classmates to ‘watch out’ because his dad Prince William will be king one day

Prince George warned his classmates who were on his bad side that they better “watch out” because his father, Prince William, will one day be king, according to royal author Katie Nicholl.

The Daily Mail reported this incident citing a new book —‘The New Royals — Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown’ by Nicholl.

“William’s aim as a father is to give his son a normal family upbringing, enabling the monarchy to stay relevant and keep up with modern times,” wrote the author of ‘Battle of Brothers’.

Prince George, the eldest grandchild of King Charles III, is second in the line of succession to the British throne behind his father William.

Aside from George, William and Catherine, Princess of Wales also shares two children—Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince Louis of Wales.
