    “Just like this fake government, its vaccination record and entry data for vaccines is also fake,” said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz when asked about the issue of fake vaccination data for Nawaz Sharif uploaded by National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) portal. Maryam said she is concerned that the wrong entry of vaccination data can be an international embarrassment for Pakistan.

    Maryam was talking to the media after she appeared before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in a case against her conviction in Avenfield reference.

    Nawaz Sharif, who is currently in London for medical treatment, has received first dose of Sinovac vaccine in Lahore as per the data uploaded on NADRA portal. As per reports, this false information was entered using Nawaz Sharif’s CNIC at Government Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital.

    Woman gang-raped at Lahore hotel for seven days

    A woman was allegedly gang-raped at a hotel in Lahore’s Millat Park area, reported ARY News.

    As per details, the police have registered a first information report (FIR) at the victim’s complaint.

    The woman said to be a dancer by profession, told the police that a man named Zafar invited her to a wedding party for dancing and made her stay at a local hotel.

    She said Zafar — with two other accomplices, Hamza and Azam — raped her for seven days. The victim further claimed that they robbed her of Rs600,000 cash.

    Taking notice of the incident, the city police chief ordered the registration of a case on her complaint. The police said they have arrested one accused while two others have fled.

    Efforts are underway to arrest the escaped suspects at the earliest, they added.

    However, Lahore’s Deputy Commissioner, Umer Sher Chattha, took to Twitter to clarify that the eatery was sealed for violating Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    Chattha wrote in a tweet, “Clarification AC city sealed it due to Covid SOP violation, not because of serving dead animal.” Butt Karahi fans were quite relieved to see this clarification.

    Two girls kidnapped, gang-raped in a Lahore factory

    Two girls were allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped in a factory in Lahore, ARY news reported.

    As per details, two girls were abducted from Lahore’s Shahdara area and were moved to Gujjarpura.

    The girls were gang-raped by three men in the Karol Khatti factory in Gujjarpura, the police said and added that the rapists later escaped the crime scene.

    The police claim that they have arrested the factory owner while a search operation is underway to arrest the rapists.

  • Woman in Lahore wears clown costume to earn living

    A woman in Lahore wears a clown costume every day to earn her living to avoid begging on the streets, reported Samaa News.

    Saima wanted to become a doctor but she had no idea that she would be working as a clown on the streets of Lahore.

    I have lost a lot in life,” Saima said on Samaa TV’s show Naya Din. “First my father, who died with his dreams, and then my own aspirations.”

    Saima’s father and two brothers passed away within just three years. She had to earn in order to support her ill mother as no one from her family or friends came forward to support her in these difficult times.

    Saima tried to find a suitable job while pursuing her education but due to a tough schedule couldn’t take up any of the jobs as she had to take care of her mother as well. She managed to find one job, which seemed to accommodate her timings.

    “Things went smoothly for four months,” Saima said. But then her boss started making inappropriate demands from her, such as going out for a meal with him.

    “He said in a meeting that I was his wife,” Saima recalled. Saima left he job after being warned of a culture of harassment and exploitation at her organisation by one of her friends who had worked there before.

    She left the job and was so needy that she even considered begging on the streets.

    But then she saw a kid dressed up as a clown to entertain other children to earn a living. This inspired her and gave her an idea of doing the same. “That child taught me such a great lesson that I could do anything for my mother,” said Saima. When she started working as a clown she felt as if the Saima in her had “died”.

    But even this job is not easy. She has been slapped and called names by men on the street, some of whom think she is a man or transgender behind the mask. She earns Rs700 to Rs800 a day.

    Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab, Usman Buzdar has contacted Saima to help her.

    Five rape cases have been reported in Lahore during the last 24 hours, Geo News reported.

    According to the police, all rape cases have been registered at different police stations across the city.

    A man named Maqbool allegedly raped his 16-year-old stepdaughter in Johar Town. The complainant, the suspect’s wife, reported the rape and a case has been registered against the suspect.

    A mother of four children was allegedly sexually assaulted in the Bhagatpura area within the limits of ​​Shadbagh police station, while a 10-year-old boy was raped by an unidentified person in Manawan, as per the police.

    In another incident, an unidentified suspect raped a 17-year-old girl in Lari Ada area after offering her a job. While the Nawankot police arrested a 15-year-old suspect for attempting to rape a seven-year-old girl on Church Road.

    Meanwhile, the government has decided to form a committee to protect women from harassment and abuse.

    Addressing a press conference after the meeting of the federal cabinet, Fawad Chaudhry said that a committee will be formed in which government officials, religious scholars and civil society would guide the government to help prevent these incidents.
