    Australian man punches 10-feet great white shark to save wife’s life

    An Australian surfer repeatedly punched a 10-feet long white shark that had bit his wife until it released his wife’s leg.

    According to details, the couple was surfing at a beach near Port Macquarie on Saturday morning when the woman was bitten twice by the shark and her right leg got injured.

    “Her companion was forced to punch the fish until it let go,” police said in the statement.

    Paramedics gave the 35-year-old first-aid at the beach and then she was airlifted to a major hospital for surgery.

    One witness who was surfing nearby when the attack occurred called the man a “hero” for taking on what appeared to be a great white shark up to three meters (10 feet) long.
    “He started laying into the shark because it wouldn’t let go,” Jed Toohey told the Daily Telegraph. “He saved her life… He was really incredible.”

    The woman’s husband, Mark Rapley, said that “I did what anyone would have done at that moment”.

    Australia has one of the world’s highest incidences of shark attacks and there have been five fatal ones in the country so far this year.

    Just last month, a shark pulled a 10-year-old boy from a fishing boat off Tasmania. He survived after his father jumped in the water to save him.

    UN Secretary-General António Guterres visited Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur and the Kartarpur Corridor on Tuesday during his four-day visit to Pakistan. Minister of Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri accompanied the him on the Kartarpur visit.

    Mr. Guterres took to twitter to appreciate Pakistan’s efforts for peace and inter-faith harmony.

    “This is the best symbol that we can give for a world in peace and for a world in which there is mutual respect and there is the acceptance of what is different. Recognising diversity is a blessing, is a richness…not a threat. When we see in so many parts of the world fighting in the name of religion, it is necessary to say that religions unite us for peace and the best symbol is this [Kartarpur] shrine,” said UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

    Earlier, the UN Secretary-General visited Lahore and administered polio drops to children in a local school.

    Animal cruelty at Karachi Zoo sparks outrage

    A picture of two crocodiles covered in paan and gutka published in The News serves as a reminder how poorly we treat animals in Pakistan.

    Journalist Zia Ur Rehman tweeted the picture published in the paper with the caption: “A sorry sight: crocodiles soak up the sun at the Karachi Zoo after paan and gutka-using visitors spat on them, leaving their bodies with blood-red spots.”

    Senator and PPP leader Sherry Rehman also commented that she was “shamed to see this.”

    Journalists Sanam Maher and Amber Shamsi also expressed their outrage on Twitter.

    Animal cruelty is not new in Pakistan. Torturing animals in zoos and otherwise under the disguise of fun is unfortunately also a common practise in the country.

    Last year, activist and lawyer Jibran Nasir tweeted pictures of a boy who used to post videos on social media while torturing kittens.

    This only happens in Pakistani dramas and Bollywood films. Because, in reality, love will not solve everything. In fact, it will add problems in your life if you’re not good at solving your problems. A good relationship demands great problem-solving skills, right decision making, and above all, lots of commitment.

    “Tumnay toh kaha tha ke shaadi ke baad (you promised that after marriage).”

    Yes, It is a trap, nothing more than that. A person who cannot fulfill commitments before marriage will certainly be unable to keep promises after marriage.

    5. Being unforgiving

    This attitude will only affect your life. There are chances that your contemporary partner will move on and may find someone more understanding. It is imperative to let things go and be more optimistic – only if your partner is putting effort.

    A man in Australia has been charged for punching and kicking a heavily pregnant woman in what was described by a leading Australian Islamic association as an “Islamophobic” attack.

    Shocking security camera footage showed a man approaching a table of three women wearing headscarves as they chatted at a cafe Sydney on Wednesday (Nov 20).

    The 43-year-old suspect is seen lunging over the table to attack a 31-year-old woman, who police said is 38 weeks pregnant, without provocation.

    After several frenzied punches, the woman fell to the ground and was stamped on, before bystanders wrestled the assailant away.

    The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC) said the man was heard “yelling anti-Islamic hate speech at the victim and her friends”.

    “This was clearly a racist and Islamophobic attack and we expect it to be treated as such,” said AFIC president Rateb Jneid.

    assembly juts out, but there’s a case in the box to do away with that
