Ayeza Khan says she always wanted a husband ‘jis per saari larkian marti hon’

Ayeza Khan has said that she always wanted a husband “jis per saari dunya ki larkian marti hon“.

Aur meri hogayi (I always wanted to marry a man who is a hero and desired by all women in the world. And it happened).

Later, talking about their marriage, Danish Taimoor, who was also a guest on the show said: “I only consider the time we’ve spent together after marriage because that is when you really become friends and get to know each other.”

Danish further shared that though they were together before their marriage, they always kept their relationship under wraps.

“I feel you shouldn’t disclose your relationship until you’re married. You can’t publicly own someone before you’ve married them,” said the actor.

Similarly, Ayeza said: “Danish and I were in a relationship for five years but we never talked about it in public. These days people openly post their relationships online which is not right. If you’re an unmarried couple, don’t show it on social media because once you’ve posted your personal life online, it’s impossible to erase it.”

“When your children grow up and search your name online, the things that can pop up I’m afraid of that. We need to be the strength of our children, not their weaknesses. They shouldn’t have to face anything because of us,” she added.

Danish also shared his thoughts on institution of marriage during the interview, saying: “I don’t understand why people run away from marriage these days. They think that if they get married, they’ll get stuck.”

“Let me tell you something: nikkah is the most beautiful thing in the world. And once you get married to someone, you naturally start loving them in a way you may have never loved anyone before,” he added.

Ayeza and Danish have been married for six years and have two children together.

  • Mahira Khan opens up about her love life

Mahira Khan, who has always been tight-lipped about her love life – even when social media married her off several times – has shared a sneak peek into her love life.

Speaking to Samina Peerzada on her show Rewind at Home with Samina Peerzada, when Peerzada asked Mahira if she is in love with someone special, Mahira replied: “I think I am in love.”

When Peerzada expressed her joy on this, Mahira said, “I don’t know. I’m so shy about this.”

Mahira also shared that her love interest is not from the industry and that she doesn’t want to share any details about it.

“This is the one thing I want to protect with my life,” said the actor, adding “I want to protect my child. Initially, I was always finding opportunities to show off my son but now I want to keep things private.”

Mahira explained that the reason for doing this was because she doesn’t want any nazr.

However, Mahira clarified that she is not getting married. Though she did say that her grandmother has asked her to think about it.

This the first time Mahira has publicly spoken about having a special someone in her life. Last year, India media had reported that Mahira had gotten engaged in Turkey to a Karachi-based entrepreneur Salim Karim. However, sources close to Mahira had shut down the rumours, saying that she had gone there to attend her friend’s wedding.

  • Pakistani love: The Pleasure Quartet and Black Ships

Pakistani love: The Pleasure Quartet and Black Ships

There are only four things in life worth chasing:

    Serotonin, Dopamine, Endorphins and Oxytocin.

Belonging. Reward. Achievement. Trust. Release. Butterflies in the stomach. Warm blankets. Enveloping hugs.

Every feeling worth having is borne upon the backs of those little molecules of the Pleasure Quartet.

We’re all addicts, because to be otherwise would be to be inhuman, or no kind of human worth being.

Read more – Pakistani Love: They wanted to dream

We throw ourselves off cliffs with oversized rubber bands attached to our waists, we bankrupt ourselves in games of chance and dice hoping for that jackpot cascade, we consume drugs of every size, shape and nature, hoping for the magical brain-fairies to work their happy wonders. (Or so I hear).

Of these intoxicants, the most widespread, arguably most dangerous, certainly most sung-about (followed closely by heroin) is love.

And like all intoxicants, it comes in a great many shapes and forms and ingenious varieties.

That special burst of laughter that signals the moment you become inseparable friends. The nearly imperceptible but utterly unmissable flush on a cheek before a kiss. The soft shrinking of the world to a warm room with the sounds of rain outside. The sudden relief in the eyes of someone who’s been waiting to see you – a partner, a parent, a pet.

Most of us try to fill our lives with people that pour us some combination of the Pleasure Quartet, whether we know it or not.

And if you stumble into someone who inspires all four? It hits your brain like a cocktail stirred by lightning.

There are a great many experiences that can be called “love”, just as there are a great many experiences that can be called, say, “sadness”.

But there are times where you feel something with such an outsize intensity that it can hardly be called the same emotion. A Black Swan that, by its appearance, upends your idea of the world because heretofore you had never believed such a thing possible.

Read more – Pakistani Love: The Story of Survivors

For me, love was a pleasant, powerful but ultimately controllable phenomenon. I cherished it in all its forms, and it was worth chasing and worth mourning, but never more.

My wife’s appearance in my life and impact on my idea of love was not just a Black Swan, it was a Black Ship like those that had steamed up to the bay of Edo in Japan, changing in an instant – and forever – how they saw the world.

She would laugh and the sun would rise in her eyes and the world would lose its weight.

She dared me to chase her, with a look and a raised eyebrow, as she drove off into a night full of stars.

She dismantled a wayward motorcyclist with linguistic savagery that would have made Shelly proud and sailors blush. Not coincidentally, that was the day I decided to marry her.

None of this, most likely, means anything to you. It’s not supposed to.

The Pleasure Quartet is True with a capital T whereas love, like art, is subjective. No two people experience it quite the same way.

For some people, that intensity of feeling, that lightning cocktail, comes packaged within one person.

For others, it comes from success, children, friends, meditating in the mountains – whatever. I promise you, where the Four Ingredients come from isn’t nearly as important as finding them.

Life is short. Don’t spend it agonizing over what SHOULD make you feel a certain way, find out what DOES.

And if you find all the passions of your life to be pleasant, powerful yet ultimately controllable, pray for a Black Ship.

  • Meray Paas Tum Ho’s most emotional episode yet as Bewafa turns to atonement

Ouch. Danish is still hurting but he’s definitely not going to take Mehwish back. That phone call between the two makes it evidently clear. Or does it?

The episode starts with Mehwish (Ayeza Khan) trying to get her friends to help her out but they are initially averse to the idea of doing so because she has committed the ultimate sin – betraying their friend. She goes to meet Hania (Hira Mani) trying to get help from her, and also trying to figure out what Hania’s relationship is with Danish (Humayun Saeed) and Mehwish’s son Rumi. It is obvious that Mehwish’s main goal is now to get back with Danish and she tries her best to talk to the people who know him to find out where his head is at, before she calls him herself.

Hania also feels for Mehwish as Mehwish tells her about what’s happened

The phone call is painful. Humayun Saeed is such a perfect actor that you can actually feel the pain in his voice as he tells his ex-wife how much he used to miss her. And how they can never get back together.

Danish, stone-faced as he listens to Mehwish on the phone

But the phone call that makes everyone’s heart tug is the one between Mehwish and her son Rumi. He couldn’t sleep without her and one feels so strongly for the child, and also despises Mehwish in that moment; not for following what she wanted and leaving Danish, but for not considering her child’s feelings as well. She tries to make amends with him and as any child, Rumi also cannot help but become warm with Mehwish – she is after all his mother. But when he tells her how his father used to miss her by calling her name, forgetting she wasn’t there, in that moment, you cannot help but feel that Mehwish never deserves redemption. As she cries, you become conflicted. People make mistakes.

Rumi tells his mother how his father reacted after she left him

But as Danish explains to his son later, it wasn’t a mistake. It was a sin. And therefore, cannot be redeemed. He does tell his friend that he’s forgiven her, “Kehdo uska maaf kar dia,” Danish tells his friend, “Khuda ki qasm maaf kar dia,” but as he talks to Rumi he is a little more honest, saying, “jis din mai usko bhool jaonga tou mil jaye gi usko maafi”

Rumi and Danish share a heartfelt conversation, showing they’re a team

It’s an emotional episode because you see Danish struggle. He still loves her and it’s quite possible he always will. And he knows that just one word, and he can have her back. Possibly, more in love with him than he was with her. Her life has turned upside down. She’s gotten a job and is living in a women’s hostel. Right now, Danish has everything that she wants. She just doesn’t have Danish.

Mehwish, trying to atone for her sins, goes to a mazar

Do you feel for her? Yes, you do and Ayeza Khan does an absolutely fantastic job as the arrogant woman who thwarts love and then realizes the incredibly huge mistake she’s made. The acting is what does it. There’s no way you cannot feel, even a little, for her. Her fall from ‘greatness’ is that big. And you wonder that if the tables had turned and this was a husband who had cheated, the wife would most likely take him back. There are many Pakistani dramas that already have that ‘happy ending’. So when she goes to a mazar, remembers her husband who was good and loving, she tries to atone for her sins. And maybe, she can have it. Everyone sins, everyone makes mistakes. Just because she’s a woman, doesn’t mean she doesn’t get a second chance.

Hania’s expression when Danish says he wants to marry her

But according to the teaser for the next episode, it does. Danish is seen asking Hania to marry him, or rather asking someone else in front of Hania, if Hania will marry him. Mehwish ends up in the hospital and he rushes to find out what’s happened. Love is unfortunately love. It doesn’t die, even if you’re side-lined, betrayed or even when you come back.
