The 96-year-old Elizabeth made two appearances on the Buckingham Palace balcony, looking elegant in a light blue attire.

In the crowds outside the palace on Thursday, it was a party. But people wondered aloud what happens to the monarchy after Elizabeth.

The queen was joined on the palace balcony by members of the royal family, though not Prince Andrew, Prince Harry or Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Andrew had tested positive for the coronavirus. Whereas the Queen announced that only senior working members of the royal family will be included in the balcony appearance hence Harry and Meghan who stepped back from royal duties in January 2020 weren’t a part of it.

Angela Levin, during her conversation with Sky News, said that the Queen has made some tough decisions.

Sky News host Kay Burley spoke to Ms Levin on the show.

Ms Burley asked: “Will we see [Meghan and Harry] on the balcony?”.

Ms Levin replied, “No, the Queen has been firm about that”.

“The way she has done it is if you are not a working royal, you can’t be on it.

“That’s a way of stopping Prince Andrew from going out [on the balcony]”.

She continued: “I think there would be quite a feeling of anger amongst us all [if Andrew were to appear]”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived secretly in a private jet ahead of the event. The couple’s visit will mark the first time that the members of the royal family will meet their daughter Lilibet who turns 1 on June 4. It was previously reported that Harry and Meghan will be staying at Frogmore Cottage during their UK visit for the celebration.

Ahead of the big celebrations to mark the monarch’s 70 years on the throne, a new portrait of the Queen was recently released by Buckingham Palace along with a personal message from the monarch that said, “I continue to be inspired by the goodwill shown to me, and hope that the coming days will provide an opportunity to reflect on all that has been achieved during the last 70 years, as we look to the future with confidence and enthusiasm.”

It was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be joining the Queen on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the Trooping the Colour ceremony since they are no longer serving royals. The couple will reportedly watch the ceremony from Duke of Wellington’s former office, overlooking Horse Guards Parade.

Charles, Prince of Wales, has reportedly approached his legal team over controversial claims made in a book about the skin colour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s child Archie.

A book titled “Brothers And Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan” written by Christopher Andersen claims that in the British Royal household, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were the ones who raised concerns about Archie’s skin colour before his birth. Palestine’s El-Kurd twins make it to Time’s top 100 list

Palestinian rights activists Muna and Mohammed El-Kurd, whose family faces forced displacement from their home in the occupied East Jerusalem neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah, have been named in Time magazine’s annual list of the 100 most-influential people in the world.

The twins, aged 23, earlier this year became the faces of a global campaign to halt Israeli efforts to forcibly displace Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah to make way for Jewish settlers.

Israeli forces detained and questioned the siblings for several hours over their activism in June.

“Through online posts and media appearances, sibling activists Mohammed and Muna El-Kurd provided the world with a window into living under occupation in East Jerusalem this spring – helping to prompt an international shift in rhetoric in regard to Israel and Palestine,” the magazine wrote about the siblings.

In a statement on Twitter on Wednesday, Mohammad El-Kurd said that although being named to the list was a “positive” development, symbolism is not enough to truly support the Palestinian cause.

Time magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Edward Felsenthal said the top-100 list features “extraordinary leaders from around the world working to build a better future” who “in a year of crisis have leaped into the fray”.

Also on the list is Taliban co-founder Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, who was recently named Afghanistan’s acting deputy prime minister after the group took control of the country.

The United Kingdom’s Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, American pop star Britney Spears, and US Olympic gymnast Simone Biles are also on the list.

In a newly emerged clip shared by the U.K’s DailyMail on Wednesday, the Baywatch actress appeared to ignore the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they took their seats to a roaring applause from the crowd for the Women’s Singles Final on Saturday.

Instead of joining in, the desi girl seemingly fiddled with her scarf. At one point, the Quantico star appeared to look away as the couple mingled with those in attendance.

The alleged snub made its way to Twitter, where many believed the star was supporting her friend Meghan Markle Indirectly. In March, the Duchess of Sussex, 39, told Oprah Winfrey that the Duchess of Cambridge, 39, made her cry days before she married William’s younger brother Prince Harry in May 2018.

Some pointed out that the clip is similar to the unearthed video footage from 2018 that showed William, 39, suddenly preoccupied with his own scarf while ignoring Markle, who attempted to speak with her brother-in-law. In that clip, the duke repeatedly fiddled with his attire, ignoring Markle altogether.

“She got him!” one person tweeted about Chopra. “The revenge of a BFF.”

Another royal baby on the way as Princess Beatrice announces pregnancy

Princess Beatrice, the granddaughter of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth who married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi last year, is expecting a baby, Buckingham Palace has announced.

The baby, the first for Beatrice, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, and her property developer husband, is due to be born this autumn.

“The queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news,” the Palace said in a statement.

The princess, the ninth-in-line to the throne, and her husband wed at Windsor Castle in July in a scaled-down private ceremony that took place without the usual pomp and fanfare that royal weddings usually attract because of COVID-19 restrictions.

The queen currently has 10 great grandchildren, with two new royal arrivals this year – Beatrice’s sister Eugenie had her first baby in February and Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne, gave birth to her third child in March.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are also expecting their second child this year.

The announcement of the pregnancy provides some good for the 95-year-old monarch whose husband of more than seven decades Prince Philip died last month.

In a further blow to the queen, one of two Dorgi puppies she was given by Prince Andrew to cheer her up after Philip fell ill in February died over the weekend.

“The queen is absolutely devastated,” an unnamed royal aide told the Sun newspaper. “Everyone concerned is upset as this comes so soon after she lost her husband.”
