ARY Digital’s masala-packed drama Nand finally came to a close on April 13 after 146 episodes with main antagonist Gohar’s death. The drama had everything from miscarriages to scheming nands and bhabhis and even plastic surgery.
Gohar’s domineering, jealous, and unsympathetic nature led her to a painful and heart-rending death. For those who haven’t watch the finale and want to know, Gohar died after her second husband poisoned her.
Nand originally featured Faiza Hasan, Shahroz Sabzwari, Minal Khan, Aijaz Aslam, Maha Hasan, and Ayaz Samoo in the lead and revolved around three couples, Gohar (Hasan) and Jehangir (Aslam), Saqib (Sabzwari) and Rabi (Khan), and Hasan (Samoo) and Farwa (Maha).
The drama busted rating charts with Hasan’s unbeaten acting. After ruining everyone’s lives and getting exposed Gohar got perfect retribution for her evil deeds – she lost her mind and started living on the streets following which audiences believed the drama was close to an end. But turns out the makers had other plans up their sleeves. They turned the drama into a Pakistani version of a Star Plus drama.
The drama had taken a complete turn from when it began and the titular character Gohar aka the Nand had gotten a face transformation and Hasan, who initially played the role and was a major attraction, was replaced by Javeria Saud.
The Nand was not the only one who had undergone a change but another female protagonist Rabi (played by Minal) died in Episode 95 that aired on January 13, 2021. Rabi and her daughter Dua died in a car accident in Germany, where they had gone to visit Rabi’s sister-in-law.
However, even after Saud replaced Hasan, many watched the drama but soon began to lose interest because the drama dragged on tirelessly.
With multiple new faces taking the story forward, Gohar did not learn from her mistakes and continued on different ventures making life for those around her hell.
After eight long months, the drama’s makers decided to end everyone’s suffering, including those of the audiences, and wrap up the show. While many viewers loved the drama giving it strong ratings, it drew mixed reviews with many wanting it to end. Hence, in an attempt to leave audiences satisfied, the drama makers gave Gohar a painful and tragic death for all the havoc she caused in other people’s lives.
Meanwhile, announcing the news of the drama’s conclusion, Aijaz Aslam wrote: “Finally it’s over. A beautiful year-long journey has come to an end on a very high note. Thank you, everyone, for your love and support which kept the viewership graph higher and higher all the way till the end.”

Muneeb Butt celebrated his birthday with close friends and family in an exciting birthday bash. Muneeb’s wife Aiman Khan, Minal Khan and her beau Mohsin Ikram Haider, Kinza Hashmi and Saboor Aly were among those present at the event.
Speaking to Ahsan Khan on his show Time Out with Ahsan Khan, Minal said: “What I learnt from Nisha was [that] it is just confidence. Aap main itna confidence hona chaheeye keh agar aap koi sahi faisla kar rahe toh uskay liye bhi confidence bohat zaruri hai. Agar ghalat hai toh uskay liye bhi aapko confident hona chaheeye.”
Minal further said that playing a negative character like Nisha helped her explore her own personality which in turn gave her more confidence.
Meanwhile, talking about social media, Minal said: “I think social media is important. It is important to know peoples point of view and what they expect from you.”
“But that doesn’t mean you let their expectations take over your life,” continued the actor. “That cannot happen. We have our own life also. Some people really need to learn not to be judgmental every single time. Learn to ignore if you don’t like something instead of making the other person feel bad through your harsh words.”
Minal added that she doesn’t let mean comments hurt her though they do get under her skin sometimes. To this, Saboor Aly, who was also on the show, said that she doesn’t like it when people raise fingers at her character or drag in her late mother.
Khan and Aly also talked about having famous sisters [Aiman Khan, Sajal Aly], saying that they are very proud to be associated with them and they are their biggest inspirations.
Sharing the video of the two underwater, Ahsan wrote: “20/03/20” followed by a heart emoji.
Tagging Minal, Ahsan further said: “1 year down, 100 more to go.”
Ahsan also turned off the comments on the post.
The couple earlier came under fire for posting loved-up pictures. At the time, Ahsan had reacted to the backlash by asking people to worry about “his/her own life instead of others”.
“Islam teaches us not to condemn others. Leave the judging to God. Worry about, and judge, only yourself,” he had said.
Meanwhile, Minal also recently hit back at a troll for who moral-policed her over her choice of outfit.
Pakistani celebrities are often trolled and moral policed for their choice of outfits and clothes. Minal Khan was recently at the receiving end of criticism for her choice of outfit.
The actor, who recently appeared on Timeout with Ahsan Khan with close friend Saboor Aly, ended up grabbing the attention for the wrong reasons. Though the show has not aired as yet, the moral police has been calling them out for their choice of clothing ever since behind-the-scenes pictures and videos from the episode went viral on social media.
Responding to a user, who commented “Begairti ki hd,” on one of her pictures, Minal said: “Kaheen aur jakr bhaashan dein pls, agli dukaan mein jayein. Yahan window shopping nahi horhi.”
Earlier, Ayesha Omar had also given a befitting reply to a troll who criticised her for her choice of outfit.
Responding to a social media user who had criticised her outfit for being revealing, Ayesha had said: “I’m definitely not promoting/ asking/urging women to expose their bodies. That is their own choice as wearing this dress was mine. As wearing whatever you want is yours.”
In another comment, when a user remarked that such outfits provoke rape cases, Ayesha hit back saying: “Oh so that explains 4-month-old babies, 5-year-olds and 7-year-old girls and being raped?”
Ahsan Mohsin Ikram has opened up about his feelings for Minal Khan and penned a love letter for her.
Sharing a selfie of the two, Ahsan said: “This is from my heart, to thank you for everything you have done for me, for all the times I forgot to tell you how I feel about you and how happy I am that you are in my life.”
