‘Auto-tune’: Shiraz Uppal’s comments on Hira Mani’s singing

Veteran musician Shiraz Uppal has stirred up buzz by claiming that actress Hira Mani uses auto-tune in her singing. Shiraz was invited as a guest on ‘Mind Na Karna’ hosted by Ahmed Butt. The host asked about Hira Mani singing abilities.
Shiraz Uppal said, “I think she’s a fantastic actress, but as for her singing skills, I can make anyone sound like her using auto-tune in my studio.”

Taking about Hira Mani vocal abilities, he said, “Being a composer and singer, I would judge her seeing that performance.”
Uppal recently found himself in controversy after he said he trained Atif Aslam and Aima Baig. However, he clarified that he had guided A-list performers like Atif Aslam and Aima Baig to enhance their vocals and tonality, assessing their potential as singers.

Shiraz said, “I never said I taught them how to sing. People misunderstood me. They are very talented singers. I discussed that as a music producer and singer, I understand the expression I need from vocalists for my compositions. So, I guide them on pronunciation, tone of voice, and expression. However, this doesn’t mean I mentored them in singing.”

  • Why did Mahenur Haider turn off her phone after ‘Khaie’ success?

Why did Mahenur Haider turn off her phone after ‘Khaie’ success?

You know that feeling when you successfully finish a big project and then want NOTHING to do with anyone in order to recuperate?

Actress and model Mahenur Haider certainly knows what we are talking about.

She recently appeared as a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s show ‘Mind Na Karna’ where she talked about her success after ‘Khaie’.

The host asked, “Mahenur, you’ve had back-to-back hits with dramas like ‘ Khaie’ and ‘Jhok Sarkar.’ Often, when an actor has a hit, they quickly take on another project. But you do only one drama a year and then seem to disappear. Is this because you don’t get role offers, or are you very selective about your projects?”

The star replied, “I’m exhausted after doing Khaie I switched off my phone. But then people start complaining that I’m not responding, and I don’t know what to do. I’m getting too much work, and it’s causing me tension and stress.”

The actress started her career with ‘Teefa In Trouble’ and also worked in ‘Parchi’. She played Apanna in ‘Khaie’ drama.

‘Fans search for my looks, not my work’: Durefishan

Fans of actress Durefishan Saleem, what is wrong with you?! The star has complained in a recent interview that internet searches for her name are often accompanied by the keyword ‘hot’ rather than her work.
“Most of the times, people are looking for ‘Durefishan Hot’ on their internet searches, and they are not looking for my work,” she remarked during a recent event.

“Public figures should expect criticism; it comes with the territory,” said host Ahmed Ali Butt. He emphasized that being in the spotlight means getting attention and criticism, whether it is desired or not.

Fatima Effendi agreed, saying: “She must have thought that as once you write your name on Google, several suggestions come up, and she must have assumed that people were searching for her ‘hot pictures’.”

Yashma Gill defends game nights, exercise in Ramzan, urges personal worship
During Ramzan, the trend of game nights became increasingly popular among celebrities. Some engaged in physical sports such as badminton and tennis, while others played board games before Sehri.

This trend gained momentum rapidly, with game nights being organised at what seemed to be, a regular basis.
Actor Yashma Gill attended these game nights and even hosted one during the Ramzan. After she was criticised for being a part of these events, Yashma has now responded to comments.

Gill said, “During Ramzan, we stay up until Sehri and also engage in worship, so game nights are a good idea. Physical activity is important for health. People who criticize us should focus on their own worship instead of commenting on our activities. We also engage in worship, but along with that, there’s a bit of physical activity. We have more time, so we adjust our shooting schedules accordingly.”

Abrar Ul Haq makes musical comeback

Abrar Ul Haq made Bhangra popular in Pakistani pop music. His songs ‘Aaja Ni Baija Cycle Tey,’ and ‘Billo De Ghar’ are timeless hits played at every wedding. Bollywood recently remixed his song ‘Nach Punjaban.’ After quitting politics last year, Abrar Ul Haq has returned to making music.
Abrar was a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s show where he said, “If we put a little effort into it, just like my songs from 15 to 20 years ago,
such as ‘Jatt Charya Kacheri,’ at that time, no such songs were coming from India.

They followed this trend, and after that, they started making songs in the same way. Anwar Aziz, our respected politician from Narowal, once met me in court and said there is a compliment for you, especially this Sikh guy is following your music style. Basically, Pakistan should take pride as we started the trend.”
He was of the opinion that old singers are always angry at new talent. “This used to happen to me, and now singers of my generation are doing it to youngsters. Music of every generation should be respected and enjoyed.”
