  • Saheefa Jabbar breaks silence on alleged separation from her husband Khawaja Khizer

Saheefa Jabbar breaks silence on alleged separation from her husband Khawaja Khizer

Model-turned-actor Saheefa Jabbar Khattak has addressed the speculation regarding her separation from her husband Khawaja Khizer on Instagram.

On Saturday, she shared a photo of the couple in an embrace and wrote, “Alhamdulillah, things are greater than ever, it’s just [that] we choose to keep our relationship very private. He has gone to Canada for his studies and I am in Pakistan waiting for my visa to come long distance isn’t bothering us much.”

She explained how they have been dealing with the situation, adding that she is not getting his tattoo removed. “Since so many of you asked as well, we have always been pretty mature with our relationship, our collective goals are so big that we don’t mind the long distance. Yes, we have our lows but he has found some great classmates who helps him with his anxiety and in Pakistan, I have kept myself busy with work so we are doing pretty fine. I wish him nothing but success and health (not getting his tattoo removed).”

She addressed the matter after many of her followers asked a series of questions including whether she’s removing the tattoo with his face and if things are okay between them.

“This isn’t the first time I have posted my tattoo removal on my stories. I have been posting on and off for about two years now but this time so many people came forward with their overwhelming concern and questions [so] I felt I should address them,” she wrote.

Why she removed a tattoo at all was due to multiple reasons, according to her. Wanting to move on, choosing to let go and also fixing an “ugly, faded” tattoo is some of the things she listed.

Last year, she opened up about undergoing a painful surgical procedure. Taking to Instagram, the Beti star shared a picture of her surgery with stitches on her nose.

Revealing details about the painful experience, the Teri Meri Kahaani diva revealed that she had been dealing with this issue for a long time.

Moreover, the doctors had warned her that she would need surgery to repair the bone in her nose. But due to her apprehensions about going under the knife, she was anxious.

“I had a deviated septum. The doctor told us we’d need to operate on the nose and surgically fix the bone. I’ve always been afraid of going under the knife,” she wrote.

“And cosmetically removing a part of my face just freaked me out. I didn’t want to get it done then. This last year breathing had become extremely difficult. And with all this pollution around us, I thought it’s just wise to have two working nostrils filtering the air.”

Giving the good news that the surgery went perfectly fine, she wrote, “So, I did the surgery two months ago. Alhamdullilah it went perfectly fine. My fears about it were real though. Everything about it was painful and uncomfortable and scary. The procedure itself wasn’t complicated, but the post-operation time was hard.”

Further, she added, “Cosmetically solving medical issues is considered such a taboo thing to do in Pakistan, and it isn’t as people imagine it to be. It isn’t always about beautification, there are a good number of cases when it’s about alleviating pain and improving health.”

“It took eleven years of courage to get to this point, but I’m glad that I did it now, and can at least breathe normally,” she concluded.

On the work front, Saheefa was last seen in ARY Digital’s Log Kya Kahenge opposite Faysal Quraishi and Aijaz Aslam.

  • Bella Hadid opens up on eating disorders and smoking addiction

Bella Hadid opens up on eating disorders and smoking addiction

American supermodel Bella Hadid has revealed that she wept “every day” and was stricken with eating disorders and chronic anxiety as a teen before she shot to fame as a model.

In an interview with i-D magazine, the 25-year-old opened up about her youth as she said that she was smoking heavily from the age of 14 and suffered body dysmorphia after she found success, reports aceshowbiz.com.

“Growing up, I thought it was normal that I had this chronic anxiety and this disassociation, crying every day and not knowing who I was,” Bella Hadid recalled.

“Whether it was eating disorders or smoking a pack of Marlboros since the age of 14, I’m like, ‘Oh, this is what all of the kids are doing’. I realised that maybe that was me trying to figure out why I felt that way. And in reality, all I needed was therapy.”

Hadid went on to talk about struggling with body dysmorphia in her early days as a model. “During that part of my life, I was so out of body, disassociating so much… I was so confused by what people saw of me,” the younger sister of model Gigi Hadid added.

Bella Hadid is now getting ready to make her acting debut in series ‘Ramy’, which tells of a first-generation American-Muslim is torn between his family’s traditional and modern American culture.

Bella Hadid said about revelling in her Palestinian heritage during the shooting.

“To go onto a set and see multiple Palestinians, Arabs, and people that are cut from the same cloth as me was really, really beautiful.”

She added about her belief speaking out for Palestinians amid the ongoing conflict with Israel previously costing her work. “A few companies won’t work with me anymore, and a few people may think I’m crazy. But that doesn’t bother me and it doesn’t compare to what Palestinians suffer on a daily basis.”

Earlier this year she admitted to regretting her decision to get a nose job at the age of 14. The beauty standards in the modelling industry have always been controversial for promoting unrealistic body types. Hadid, who has opened up about her anxiety and depression previously, speaks about her cosmetic surgery, and how she felt while being compared to her older sister Gigi Hadid.

Both Bella and Gigi have become big names in the fashion industry. The sisters have modelled for many big luxury brands like Chanel, Givenchy, Versace, Dior, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and more. They have also been on several magazine covers.

Bella Hadid Admits Getting A Nose Job At The Age Of 14

As exciting it may seem, being a fashion model comes with its own cons, and Bella Hadid has certainly faced them. During an interview with Vogue, Bella detailed her struggles with body image and mental health. She further admitted feeling “ugly” and “uncool” in comparison to Gigi Hadid. “People think I fully f*cked with my face because of one picture of me as a teenager looking puffy,” she said.

“I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors. I think I would have grown into it,” Bella added. She then went on to talk about being compared to Gigi Hadid. “I was the uglier sister. I was the brunette. I wasn’t as cool as Gigi, not as outgoing,” she said. “When you get told things so many times, you do just believe it. I always ask myself, how did a girl with incredible insecurities, anxiety, depression, body-image issues, eating issues, who hates to be touched, who has intense social anxiety – what was I doing getting into this business?” Bella continued.

While the fashion industry can be harsh, so can be the fans and netizens who reacted to Bella admitting to getting a nose job. People on Twitter are now criticising Hadid’s mother, Yolanda, for allowing the model to get nose surgery at such a young age.

In 2021, Scientists ‘measured’ that Bella is the most beautiful woman in the world. The 24-year-old was found to be 94.35 percent ‘accurate’ to the Golden Ratio of Beauty.

Bella Hadid declared as world's most beautiful woman.

The list was compiled back in 2019 using computerized mapping techniques by Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva, who utilises the technology in his work.

Bella’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and came closest to the Greeks’ idea of perfection.

Singer Beyoncé, 39, was second, coming in with a 92.44 percent match-up to those standards, while actress Amber Heard, 33, was third with 91.85 percent and pop star Ariana Grande, 26, was fourth with 91.81 percent.

De Silva said Bella Hadid holds the crown for the most beautiful woman in the world.

  • ‘Not a film set, apologise’: Fawad Chaudhry lashes out at model for posing at Kartarpur bareheaded

‘Not a film set, apologise’: Fawad Chaudhry lashes out at model for posing at Kartarpur bareheaded

Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan Fawad Chaudhry has lashed out at a model for hurting the Sikh community after she posed ‘bareheaded’ for a clothing ad at the Kartarpur Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.

Taking to Twitter, the information minister wrote: “The Designer and the model must apologise to Sikh Community. KartarPur Sahib is a religious symbol and not a film set.”

According to reports, the woman who runs Mannat, a ready-to-wear women’s online clothing store in Pakistan, got a photo-shoot done at the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib complex in the recent past with the model posing bareheaded with her back towards the Gurdwara.

In the now-deleted photographs, the woman is seen wearing a red suit posing for the camera without covering her head with the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in the background.

It should be noted that the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, the single largest representative body of Sikhs, has pasted posters inside the gurdwara complex cautioning devotees not to shoot entertainment videos after a few of them were caught shooting TikTok videos.

Many have criticised the model and demanded her apology. Former president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Paramjit Singh Sarna said in a statement that this is a “highly objectionable” act that has “severely hurt” the Sikh religious sentiments.

Sarna said that he would take up the issue with the Chairman of Pakistan Evacuee Trust Property Board Dr Amar Ahmad on priority and ask him to make the PMU staff aware of the Sikh “rehat maryada” (Sikh code of religious conduct).

He called upon Pakistani authorities to place written instructions in Urdu about Sikh “Maryada”. He also urged the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (PSGPC) and local authorities in Narowal that visitors to the historical shrine must be sensitised about the Sikh code of conduct applicable at gurdwaras.

Last week, several Sikh pilgrims visited the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan on the 552nd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

Shahbaz Taseer, Neha Rajpoot set to tie the knot

Model Neha Rajpoot and Shahbaz Taseer are reportedly set to marry soon.

The Moray Saiyaan diva and son of late politician Salman Taseer are often spotted together at public places.

In December 2020, Shahbaz’s ex-wife Maheen Ghani accused Neha of destroying her marriage.

She took to Instagram stories and said: “To each their own I guess and whatever makes them happy. Though I do hope that this trend of certain models with married men and vice versa changes. I am divorced now fortunately and wish them peace and healing.”

The fashion designer remained supportive of her ex-husband when he was abducted. Reunited after five years, the couple welcomed their daughter but due to irreconcilable differences, they announced their divorce.

    Rajpoot responded to the accusations:

“Lol it’s easy to point out fingers at people who stay quiet, well there is always two sides to a story just because someone is quiet doesn’t mean they are wrong. I’m amazed at how whenever something comes up it’s so easy for people to put on at models calling them homewreckers and totally disregard housewives who when their husbands are away for long, they cheat left, right and centre and then blame the man for moving on. I rest my case here and I wish her peace and love.”

The duo hasn’t yet officially announced the news of their wedding.

Video: ‘Shohar ke kaam aurat ka farz nahi, he’s my partner not child’: Nadia Hussain gets direct

Model-turned actor Nadia Hussain has said that the society’s expectation from a woman to serve and cater her husband is wrong because her husband is her partner and not her child. The Jalan star added that she is not raising her children the way society functions.

In a recent interview with ‘Hamare Mehman‘, while talking about societal gender roles especially in a marriage, she mentioned that “It’s not my responsibility to look after my husband and his things. He’s not my child whom I have to look after all the time, he’s my life partner. To demand and to expect that a woman whom you’ll marry will serve you with everything and will be responsible for all your work is totally wrong.”

“I will never raise my children like that,” adding, “Why women are expected to do chores after coming from work.”

The Noor Bano actor concluded her stance by stating, “A woman should have a right to divorce. My father-in-law told my mother about the clause -18 in Nikkah papers, in which a girl has a right to divorce. It is generally crossed in papers, but my father-in-law made sure to uncross that section.”

On the work front, Nadia recently gained critical acclaim for her performance in Jalan opposite Emmad Irrfani.
