“You’re representing Pakistan and you have a blue tick on your profile. How are you randomly messaging any girl and praising her?” Nawal laughed, further adding that this was not the right thing to do.

The ‘Cheekh’ actor chuckled saying that when he rolled down the window, the robbers greeted him by saying ‘Junaid bhai’, but after recognising him, they apologised and asked for his phone.
The second time Aijaz recalled being robbed was when he was coming out of a friend’s studio, and when they were about to enter their car, two young boys approached him with a silver gun and demanded that the actor and his friend hand over their phones.
“I took out my phone, he looked up to recognise me and said: ‘Array! Oh maaf kardien Aijaz bhai, mein tou boaht bara fan hoon’,” the actor laughed. The robbers handed them back their phones and apologised as they left.
Faryal Mehmood was a guest on Momin Saqib’s show ‘Had Kar Di’ where the actor opened up how as a child, she was kicked out of several schools before reaching 12th grade because of her aggressive nature.
“I used to hit people a lot’, recalled Faryal. “One time I broke a girl’s ribs.”
“I was very young and I knew how to fight. So I just fought and it went to another level. I kicked her here and I broke her ribs and then I got suspended.”
The ‘Laal Ishq’ actress also revealed what career would she pick if she wasn’t an actress, and her choice was either becoming a dancer or a thief!
“I think I can accomplish huge heists’, joked the actress. “Because I’m a good actor…So I can manipulate anyone and use them.”

— King’s College London (@KingsCollegeLon) March 11, 2021
The Commonwealth Youth Awards “have brought innovative, scalable and replicable projects of young people to the forefront of global leadership and have kicked local projects into the international arena for nearly two decades.”
Momin shot to fame after a video of him expressing his disappointment over Pakistan’s poor performance during the ICC World Cup 2019 went viral on social media. Saqib has also ventured into television and is currently part of two Hum TV productions: Raqs-e-Bismil and Be Adab. He will also be part of Adnan Siddiqui’s upcoming production Dam Mastam.
While most of the time, we critics or drama viewers, complain about how Pakistani dramas have become redundant and monotonous with the same old storyline based on unrequited love, marital woes, or love triangles, every now and then comes a new drama that shakes things up and makes you believe in the drama industry once again.
Sarah Khan and Imran Ashraf’s ongoing drama Raqs e Bismil is one such example. Directed by Wajahat Rauf and written by Hashim Nadeem, the drama’s plot revolves around Sarah and Imran’s characters – Zohra and Moosa. Moosa comes from a very conservative background – he refuses to let his sister marry her love because he did not belong to the same sect – while Zohra belongs to a family of dancers and entertainers. The two cross paths on a bus and Zohra, who is wearing a burka at the time, catches Moosa’s attention, who immediately falls for her and her gutsy nature and asks her to marry him after their second meeting.
While Zohra initially rejects Moosa’s advances with some powerful dialogues, she later invites him to her home so that he can find out her reality first-hand. The third episode of the drama ends with Moosa finding out Zohra’s reality and viewers are excited to know what will happen next for the two protagonists, who are worlds apart.
The first three episodes were engaging and fast-paced with brilliant performances by the lead and supporting cast. Imran and Sarah were brilliant as Moosa and Sarah, while their chemistry was also lit. Moosa, in particular, has many shades and Imran manages to portray them flawlessly; fluidly switching between a hardened family-man and a man smitten. A special mention to Momin Saqib, who really gave a solid performance as Essa, Moosa’s brother and wingman.
Raqs e Bismal has quickly made it to our list of must-watch dramas and one we are delighted to recommend.
