He was handed over to the police.

In an Instagram post, Pakistani civil rights activist and lawyer Mohammad Jibran Nasir shared that the suspect Hassan is finally in police custody almost a year after brutally murdering 19-year-old Hifza. The suspect strangled his wife and then hung her body by the ceiling fan to make it look like suicide.

The suspect runs a madrassah, along with his father who is co-accused in the murder case. The lawyer pinpointed that they lived in the upper portion of the madrassah where the murder was committed.

  • Faisalabad man murders female colleague in London

Faisalabad man murders female colleague in London

Muhammad Arslan has been jailed in the U.K for suffocating one of his female colleagues with a face mask and then hiding her body in a suitcase, Geo News reports.

Arslan, 27, claimed to have forced a face mask into the mouth of 21-year-old Hina Bashir in order to “quieten” her after he confronted her over alleged nude photographs that had been sent out. The prosecution rejected his explanation as “elaborate and concocted”, asserting he had killed Hina out of anger and jealousy.

Both Arslan and Hina had grown up together in the same village in Faisalabad. Arslan would try to approach Hina romantically, but she rejected his advances. Within months of her moving to the UK in November 2021, Arslan followed her.

On the eve of July 11 last year, Hina and two of her friends visited Arslan’s shared flat in Ilford, east London, in order to collect some belongings she had left there while she was moving. Hina went up alone, and that was the last time her friends saw her alive, Geo reports.

Arslan admitted manslaughter on the first day of his trial but denied murder and concealing Hina’s body. However, a jury at the Old Bailey found him guilty on all charges.

Judge Richard Marks KC sentenced him to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 20 years for the murder and five years running concurrently for his heinous crime.

The judge told Arslan: “I am satisfied…that your unrequited feelings for Hina boiled over and resulted in you taking hold of a facemask and forcing it into the back of her mouth which led to her collapse and ultimately to her death from asphyxiation.”

He added that Arslan’s prime motivation was to save himself after killing Hina, hence the “campaign of lies” to conceal his crime, before disposing of her body in a “shocking and callous manner”. Arslan had hid her body in a suitcase overnight, before traveling to an industrial estate to hide the suitcase in undergrowth on the side of a lane, evidence reveals.

The Judge declared it was apparent that Arslan had been “obsessed” with Hina, feelings clearly not reciprocated. He went on to say that he was extremely skeptical of the claim that he had been sent naked photos of Hina prior to the attack, as “no such photos were ever recovered”.

In an interview with Geo, the victim’s father, Bashir Khan, stated, “even animals would treat my daughter better.”

TW: After posting complaint, Chicago man finds three severed heads on desk

Dale Wheatley, a transportation coordinator at the Anatomical Gift Association in Illinois that distributes human body parts for medical research, revealed to People Magazine that after he filed a complaint about the condition of donor bodies, he found three severed heads sitting on his desk.

In the last five years of working at this place, Wheatley had never found body parts placed so casually at his desk. He said that they are safely transported to storage areas, and then shipped of to medical students where students dissect and study them. Afterwards, they are cremated, and the ashes are sent to family members.

“At first I was confused,” Wheatley tells PEOPLE. “My boss walked by, and I asked him why the heads were at my desk. He said they need to get back with their bodies so we can send them to cremation.”

Wheatley said he asked his boss about why the heads were lying on his desk. His boss said he did not know.

Wheatley had earlier complained that donated bodies were not kept in proper conditions or stored, leading to decomposition and mold, rendering them unsuitable for studying. Wheatley’s lawyer David Fish said that rats had chewed through the bags, which made the bodies unusable.

“The body goes to waste if it’s not properly cared for,” Fish told PEOPLE.

The president of the company, William O’Connor, denied Wheatley’s complaint that bodies were being mishandled.

  • After meeting on dating app, woman hired hitman to murder lover’s wife

Jab pyar kiya to darna kya?

Melody Sasser from Tennessee has been arrested by police authorities after she had tried to hire a hitman to murder the wife of a man she had met on a dating app.

People Magazine reported that Sasser met the man on Match.com. After finding out that he had recently gotten engaged, the woman responded with “I hope you both fall off a cliff and die”, according to the alleged target’s complaint to the police.

She also revealed that Sasser had shown up to their resident unannounced after learning about the couple’s engagement, reporting that she found her vehicle damaged, and began receiving threatening calls that couldn’t be traced.

Authorities also found out that Sasser was tracing the whereabouts of the victim and her husband through a fitness app on their Garmin watches.

According to court documents, Sasser plotted the murder of the wife by placing a $10,000 order on the website Online Killers Market on Jan 11, 2023, using the username “cattree”, to have the spouse of the man she met murdered.

“It needs to seem random or accident[al]. Or plant drugs, do not want a long investigation. She recently moved in with her new husband,” the murder-for-hire request reads.

Then again in March, she sent a follow-up message, complaining about how long it was taking to hire a hit-man:

“I have waited for 2 months and 11 days and the job is not completed… does it need to be assigned to someone else? Will it be done? What is the delay?”

The police were immediately alerted to the murder’s request and traced Sasser’s location, as well as informed the intended target and her husband about the failed murder plot. Sasser is currently being charged with attempted murder.
