She wrote, “I had the most fulfilling experience spending the evening with the girls of ‘Anjuman – I – Islam Orphange’. These girls are aged from 6 to 18 years old. We had iftar together, chatted a little, and they prayed beautifully. They showed me so much love that my heart felt incredibly full and overwhelmed.”

    The actress added, “Sometimes we forget to appreciate all the blessings we have from God. I was feeling down lately, feeling upset and unloved. But when I met these girls, I realized that love comes in many forms. It washed away all my negative feelings.”

    She continued, “These girls don’t have parents or a home. Some of them are very young and small. The orphanage is their home, and the people who take care of them there are like their parents. The girls have each other as friends or siblings. Still, they had big smiles on their faces. Their warmth made my sad day bright.”

    According to local media reports, the incident occurred on Friday, and the suspects allegedly tried to molest her. When she bravely resisted, the attackers resorted to physical violence, subjecting her to a brutal beating. Notably, the girl’s cousin, who rushed to her aid, was also attacked by the assailants.

    Shocking footage of the incident has circulated on social media, showing the attackers using iron rods and bats to assault the victim’s cousin.

    Outraged by the appalling act, members of the Muslim community and local Congress party lawmaker Noori Khan took to the streets and staged a sit-in protest outside the Ujjain SP office, demanding justice for the victims and stringent action against the perpetrators.

    Noori Khan expressed her deep concern and empathy for the victim after visiting her at the Ujjain Civil Hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment for her injuries. Ms. Khan took to Twitter, stating that the victim’s agony and the disturbing sequence of events have left her shocked.

    Adding further details to the incident, the victim herself took to her Twitter account and revealed that five men were involved in the brutal attack.

    Law enforcement authorities have been urged to take prompt action in identifying and apprehending the culprits to deliver justice to the victims and send a strong message against such heinous crimes.

    Indian politician Pramod Muthalik has urged young Hindu men to lure “10 Muslim girls if we lose one Hindu girl” through what he called “love jihad”.

    Muthalik, the chief of the Hindu nationalist party Sri Ram Sena, alleged that thousands of Hindu girls were being “exploited in the name of love jihad”, the belief that Muslims are seeking to deceive Hindu women through marriage and convert them to Islam.

    “We are aware of the situation. I would like to invite the youth here. If we lose one Hindu girl, we should trap 10 Muslim girls. If you do so, Sri Ram Sena will take responsibility for you and provide every kind of security and employment,” said Muthalik, as quoted in The Indian Express.

    “Our girls are exploited in love jihad. Across the country, thousands of girls are cheated in the name of love. We should warn them,” the politician further said.

    “I am not saying this because elections are around the corner. My statements have always been in the interest of Hindus,” the report quoted him as saying.

    The Indian Express added that Muthalik’s comments have been widely criticised, with “love jihad” considered to be a baseless conspiracy theory that courts have rejected.
