Sarah Khan gave her fans a shock when she announced her engagement to singer Falak Shabir Wednesday evening. A few hours later, fans were in for another surprise after videos from their mehndi began to circulate on social media.
While fans were super excited for the new couple, they couldn’t help but poke fun at Usman Mukhtar with whom Sarah is sharing the screen in Sabaat. Usman plays Dr Harris Ahmed in the serial who is Miraal’s (Sarah’s character) love interest. Fans joked that whoever Usman shares the screen with ends up getting married.
Earlier, Usman had played Altamash, Naimal Khawar’s character Izza’s love interest in the drama serial Anaa. And while the drama was still on-air, Khawar got married to Hamza Ali Abbasi.
Despite stepping away from the public eye to focus on his spiritual journey, Hamza Ali Abbasi continues to attract attention from his countless fans from across the world.
In a recent Twitter interaction, when a follower asked Hamza if he doing good, the actor responded, “I am the happiest I have ever been Alhamdulillah.”
Nops. I m the happiest i have ever been Alhamdulillah
While Hamza has mainly been using his platform to impart religious knowledge, his wife Naimal Khawar has been sharing snippets of their life in America. The couple has reported set up base in Texas, where Hamza is studying at the Ghamidi Center of Islamic Learning.

Meanwhile, Hamza also requested those who he may have hurt by his words or actions to forgive him.
Been wanting to do this for a while so here goes: I want to use this platform whr my voice reaches many to apologise to anyone & everyone who i have ever hurt by my words or actions in my past. Please i beg u to forgive me…. I AM SORRY….Please… FORGIVE ME❤️
Late last year, Hamza had announced that he was quitting acting to focus on his spiritual journey.
“I had this divine revelation some time back, that all that I am doing in this world will end the moment I die,” Hamza said in a video message, adding that death is inevitable.
“All these trophies, all these accolades will not bring me any good on the day of judgment when I meet my Maker. I have decided that I want to leave everything that might be a hurdle when it comes to making my matters easier on the day of Judgment.”
Though Hamza will be quitting acting, he shared that he will still continue to make videos and use his voice and popularity to spread the message of Islam and inspire others to undertake this spiritual journey.
If there is one person who has gone through a complete transformation, it has to be Hamza Ali Abbasi. The actor has gone from being a flamboyant and outspoken person to someone who is calmer and more reserved.
In a recent social media update, Hamza shared that this is because he has grown closer to Allah. The actor further said that he now “trembles and thinks a million times” before saying something publicly.”
I use to be very outspoken, very loud. As i get close to Allah, all of that has vanished. Now I tremble & think a million times before i say something publicly for every word i write, i know ill be held accountable by the king of all kings, my creator, my God, my Allah.
Meanwhile, Hamza is currently pursuing his religious studies at the Ghamidi Center of Islamic Learning in Dallas.

When asked why he chose Ghamidi Sahab as his teacher, Hamza said that because he “understands Islam for what is it, free from all political, cultural influences.”
Teacher, not mentor. Because he understands Islam for what it is, free from all political, cultural influences
My brother. I have studied other scholars. The reason Farahi, Islahi and Ghamidi appeal to me is bcz of thr stance on sources of deen and how they differentiate Sunnah from Hadith. Disagree with it sure, but to think its twisting religion or justifying haraam is not appropriate.

And the wedding season continues. Naimal Khawar’s sister Fiza Khawar got married in a lovely, afternoon wedding just like her sister, and social media can’t get enough of the sunkissed pictures of the bride, groom and their celebrity family.

Google Trends has released the list of what was trending in year 2019 in Pakistan in the categories of Searches, People and Movies & TV.
Pakistan vs South Africa tops the Searches list while Naimal Khawar was the top searched person in the country in 2019. Number one on the Movies & TV list is Avengers: Endgame followed by Bigg Boss 13 and the ISPR helmed drama Ehd e Wafa.
See the rest of the list here:
Searches
Comes as no surprise that all the top searches this year were related to cricket. 2019 also saw Pakistan participate in the ICC Cricket World Cup and Pakistan narrowly missed making it to the semi-finals this year. However, the uncanny differences between the 1992 cricket world cup and the 2019 one had everyone on the edge of their seats.

People
Naimal Khawar was the most searched person in Pakistan mainly because her debut drama Anaa was a huge success and because this year she also became Mrs Hamza Ali Abbasi. Hamza and Naimal’s wedding was one which fans had not seen coming at all which is probably why they were more intruiged by it.
Number two on the list was the ‘Chocolate Hero’ Waheed Murad. The late actor became the second most searched person in the country after he was honoured with a Google Doodle on his 81st birthday.
Waheed Murad
Babar Azam followed on number 3, who left everyone in awe with his brilliant cricket skills, especially during the ICC World Cup 2019 when he smashed several records. He remained the world’s top-ranked T20I batsman.

Number four on the list is Asif Ali which is interesting because he did not really impress anyone with his cricketing skills.
Asif Ali
Adnan Sami, better known as ‘undercover agent’ Major Adnan Sami, was the fifth most searched person in Pakistan. Sami, who is now an Indian national, is often trending on social media when tensions between India and Pakistan are high.

Others on the list included Sara Ali Khan (6), Mohammad Amir (7), Alizeh Shah (8), Abhinandan Varthaman (9) and Madiha Naqvi (10).
Bollywood actor Sara has garnered quite a loyal following in Pakistan, while Alizeh Shah is the country’s latest national crush, particularly after her roles in Superstar and Ehd e Wafa. Madiha Naqvi made it to the list after she tied the knot with Muhttahid Quami Movement’s (MQM) Faisal Sabzwari in a low-key wedding ceremony this summer.

Movies and TV
In Movies and TV, Avengers: Endgame topped the list followed by Bigg Boss 13 (2) Ehd e Wafa (3), Suno Chanda Season 2 (4) and Kabir Singh (5). Meanwhile, the ongoing superhit drama Meray Paas Tum Ho was number seven on the list.
It was Mrs Hamza Ali Abbasi aka Naimal Khawar’s birthday on Sunday and from all the social media updates, we can tell that her first birthday after her marriage was celebrated to the fullest.

Naimal’s Anaa co-star Usman Mukhtar also had a message for Izzah.
Shoaib Mansoor’s Verna didn’t do too well at the box office, but the movie is an important step towards discussing issues that plague our society. Pakistan’s superstar Mahira Khan takes the lead in the film, Hamza Ali Abbasi’s wife and a great actor in her own right, Naimal Khawar is also in the film, as well as Haroon Shahid and Zarrar Khan.
Mahira Khan plays a rape survivor
The film revolves around a couple Aami (Haroon) and Sara (Mahira) and how their lives change after Sara is raped by a governor’s son (Zarrar Khan). After she is raped, she vows to fight for justice.
Aami and Sara are a happy couple before their lives are ruined
The film was directed by Shoaib Mansoor, who had two super hits before, Khuda Kay Liye and Bol but Verna didn’t receive a similar response. Criticism revolved around a disjointed script, bad audio and weak storytelling.
The film was made in 2017 but will air tonight, Saturday November 16th, on HUM T.V. at 9:10PM.
It’s going to be a month to Hamza Ali Abbasi and Naimal Khawar’s wedding and from then till now, we’ve seen the two indulge in excessive PDA on social media and otherwise. Given how low-key their shaadi and their “platonic” relationship prior to their Nikkah was, it is somehow odd to see them behave this way, especially Hamza, who has always maintained a certain image.
While I’m all for letting people live the way they want, their public displays of affection seem to give the impression that they are trying to milk the attention they are getting as much as they can. Which raises the question: How much is too much?
Let’s start with this picture of the two of them from this week. Naimal shares a picture of the two of them out on a dinner date.

Hamza shares the picture on his story with the caption, “You Naimal, you are Allah’s gift and blessing for me.”
A few days before that a picture of them cosying up in the hills was widely shared on social media.
Pretty much every picture of Naimal and Hamza goes viral.

We did not want to post a biased opinion so we decided to ask our followers what they had to say on this. Here are the results:
The last episode of Hum TV’s hit drama serial Anaa aired Sunday and it finally saw Izzah and Altamash get married.
But what caught our attention in the final scene was the fact that both the actors – Naimal Khawar Khan and Usman Mukhtar – were wearing the same clothes they wore to Naimal’s actual wedding. Naimal got married to Hamza Ali Abbasi on August 26 in a small, intimate nikkah.
Here’s a side by side look:

The dupatta is definitely the same. As is the string of pearls.

Even the shirt looks the same and it appears that the net dupatta which Naimal used for her wedding entry was used as an accompanying dupatta for her drama’s wedding look. Her hairstyle and makeup are also strikingly similar.

Here’s a side by side look of Usman as well.

People are convinced that the two wore the same outfits, but we’ll have to wait for an official word from the two before drawing any solid conclusions. But hey, we’re all here for it.
Meanwhile, Usman bid a fitting goodbye to Izza and Naimal with an emotional Instagram post.
“Altamash was no one without Izza,” he wrote before going onto praise Naimal for executing the character with “such flawless grace and acting.”
