    4th T20I: New Zealand defeats Pakistan by 4 runs

    In the fourth T20 match, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 4 runs in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

    Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the toss and invited New Zealand to bat first.

    New Zealand inning:

    Batting first, New Zealand scored 178 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

    New Zealand’s Tim Robinson scored 51 runs and Dan Foxcroft scored 34 runs, while Tom Blundell scored 28 runs and Michael Bracewell scored 27 runs, Josh Clarkson was dismissed for zero.

    On behalf of Pakistan, Abbas Afridi dismissed 3 players, Usama Mir and Iftikhar Ahmed also got one wicket each.

    Pakistan inning:

    The national team managed to score 174 runs for 8 wickets in pursuit of the target of 179 runs.

    Fakhar Zaman scored 61 runs on behalf of Pakistan, Iftikhar Ahmed scored 23 runs, Saeem Ayub scored 20 runs and Usman Khan scored 16 runs. Imad Wasim was not out with 22 runs.

    Last match of this series will be played on April 27 in Gaddafi cricket stadium.

    PCB finalizes schedule for April series against New Zealand

    The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized the schedule of the five match T20 series against New Zealand in April.

    The Kiwis will arrive in Islamabad on April 14. The five-match series will be played between April 18 and 27. All the matches of the series will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore.

    The first three matches of the series will be played in Rawalpindi on April 18, 20 and 21, while the matches on April 25 and 27 will be played in Lahore.

    Under-19 World Cup: Pakistan defeats New Zealand by 10 wickets

    Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 10 wickets in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Under-19 World Cup to clinch their 3rd consecutive win.

    In the match played in East London, Pakistan easily achieved the target of 141 runs given by New Zealand in the 26th over without any loss.

    Shahzaib Khan played an unbeaten inning of 80 runs, and Shamyil Hussain also remained not out with 54 runs. None of New Zealand’s bowlers could get Pakistan’s opening pair out.

    Earlier, the New Zealand team was bundled out for 140 while batting first, with Stockpole scoring 42 and Olivier 29.

    On behalf of Pakistan, Ubaid Shah and Arafat Minhas took three wickets each, Naveed Ahmed took two wickets, and Muhammad Zeeshan and Ali Asfand took one wicket each.

    New Zealand defeats Pakistan by seven wickets in fourth T20

    New Zealand defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the fourth T20 of the five-match series played at Oval Stadium today in New Zealand.

    New Zealand won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. Saim Ayub and Muhammad Rizwan opened the innings but the former failed this time as well, getting caught out at slip for just one run in the second over.

    Pakistan’s second out was Babar Azam who was dismissed for 19 runs on a total of 56 runs, while Fakhar Zaman was also dismissed for 9 runs off 15 balls.

    Sahibzada Farhan, who joined the team in place of Azam Khan, also fell quickly, after just two balls and scoring just one run. Wickets continued to fall, but on the other hand, Muhammad Rizwan continued to push the team’s score forward with responsible batting and completed his half-century. With the score at 126, Iftikhar Ahmed got out after playing an innings of 10 runs off 14 balls.

    Mohammad Rizwan scored 90 runs off 63 balls and Mohammad Nawaz scored 21 runs off 9 balls.

    Chasing the target of 159 runs, the first three players of New Zealand were out for just 20 runs, with the first wicket falling in the form of Finn Allen for eight runs by Shaheen Shah Afridi. Then Tim Seifert was caught and dismissed by Shaheen Shah Afridi again, who also sent Will Young to the pavilion for just four runs.

    After the early fall of three wickets, Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips washed away the Pakistani bowlers and both players not only completed their fifties but also led their team to victory and remained unbeaten.

    Daryl Mitchell scored 72 and Glenn Phillips remained not out with 70 runs. The two players shared a partnership of 139 runs for the fourth wicket while Shaheen Shah Afridi took all three wickets for Pakistan.

    It should be noted that in the series of five T20 matches, New Zealand has a decisive advantage of four-zero now.

    New Zealand has defeated Pakistan by 46 runs in the first T20 match of the five-match T20 series.

    Pakistan cricket team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and decided to field first. Kiwis Finn Allen and David Conway started the innings, but Afridi caught the latter out on the second ball. However, in the third over of the innings, the ace bowler was smashed for 24 runs.

    Alan fell to Abbas Afridi after scoring 34 runs in 15 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 3 fours.

    Several easy catches were dropped amid multiple instances of misfielding by Pakistan. Kiwi batsmen took full advantage cruising to 128 when the third wicket fell with Kane Williamson’s dismissal on 57.

    New Zealand’s fourth wicket fell when Glenn Phillips was caught out by Babar Azam for just 19 on an Abbas Afridi’s ball, after which Daryl Mitchell scored 61 runs before being sent back to the pavilion by Shaheen Afridi.

    New Zealand’s Mark Chapman made 26, Adam Milne made 10, Ortam Sothi was dismissed for just six runs while Ish Sodhi and Matt Henry returned to the pavilion for zero.

    Shaheen Afridi and Abbas Afridi took three wickets each while Haris Rauf took two wickets.

    Saim Ayub and Muhammad Rizwan started the innings on behalf of Pakistan. The former was run out after scoring 27 runs in 8 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 2 fours for a total of 33.

    Muhammad Rizwan also scored 25 runs and was caught out by Tim Southee while Fakhar Zaman scored 15 runs. Iftikhar Ahmed was dismissed for 24 runs while Azam Khan played an innings of 10 runs. Babar Azam completed his half-century with the help of 2 sixes and 3 fours before being dismissed at 57 runs off 35 balls.

    The captain was out on a duck while Osama Mir and Abbas Afridi could score one run each, Amir Jamal remained not out after putting up 14 runs.

    Tim Southee took 4 wickets while Adam Milne and Ben Sears dismissed two players each, and one scalp went to Ish Sodhi.

    The next match of the series will be played on January 14 on Sunday.

  • Big setback for New Zealand before first T20 against Pakistan

    Before the T20 series against Pakistan, New Zealand cricket team’s all-rounder Mitchell Santner fell victim to Covid.

    According to the Kiwi’s management, Mitchell Santner will not play the first T20 match against Pakistan due to Corona, as he will now be kept in isolation.

    It has been further reported that Mitchell Santner will continue to be examined in the coming days and will fly home alone to Hamilton.

    The first T20 match between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played today. Pakistan has won the toss and decided to field against New Zealand.
