    Melbourne Test: Shaheen’s comeback, Australia lost 6 wickets for 187 runs

    After the fall of four wickets, Mitchell Marsh and Smith took over the batting and both made half-centuries, but Mitchell Marsh got close to the century and was dismissed by Mir Hamza for 96 runs, after which Steve Smith also scored 50 runs and gave the wicket to Shaheen Afridi for a total of 187 runs.

    Australia is on now on 187 runs for the loss of six wickets on the end of third day of Melbourne test with the total lead of 241 runs.

    In response to Australia’s 318 runs on the third day of the Melbourne Test, the Green Caps, bowled out for 264 runs, but Shaheens pounced on Australia at the start of their inning.

    Pakistani batsmen Mohammad Rizwan and Aamir Jamal started the game at 194 runs for the loss of six wickets.

    Mohammad Rizwan scored 42 runs off 51 balls and returned to the pavilion after being caught out by David Warner on the ball of Pat Cummins, after which Shaheen Afridi scored 21, while Hasan Ali and Mir Hamza could only add two runs each to the score. Amir Jamal remained not out on 33 runs.

    When Australia started their second innings, the Shaheens attacked them. On the second ball of the innings, Shaheen Afridi dismissed Usman Khawaja while also dismissing Marcus Labuschagne before lunch.

    Mir Hamza took two wickets off two balls in which he guided dangerous batsmen David Warner and Travis Head to the pavilion.

    Australia has scored 107 runs with the loss of four wickets with a total lead of 161 runs.

    In the first Test between Pakistan and Australia, the host team has been bowled out for 487 runs in their first innings.

    First day:

    The Kangaroos scored 346 runs for the loss of five wickets on the first day of the game.

    David Warner was dismissed for 164 runs, Usman Khawaja scored 41 and Travis Head put up 40 runs.

    Second day:

    Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey started the second day aggressively, however, Australia suffered their sixth loss at 411 when Alex Carey was bowled by Aamir Jamal.

    The seventh wicket of the Australian team fell on 449 runs when Mitchell Starc returned to the pavilion after playing an inning of 12 runs, he was also dismissed by Aamir Jamal. Mitchell Marsh played an inning of 90 runs. Captain Pat Cummins was also dismissed for nine runs on a total of 481.

    From Pakistan, Aamir Jamal has taken six wickets for 111 runs.

    In the first Test match between Pakistan and Australia in Perth, the host team won the toss and decided to bat first. Australia has scored 117 runs without loss in 25 overs before the lunch brake.

    Speaking on the occasion of the toss, the captain of the national Test team, Shan Masood said, “If I had won the toss, I would have batted first, two players are making their debut in our team in the first match against Australia”.

    Earlier, Aamir Jamal and Khurram Shehzad were given Test caps, and Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali gave Test caps to the players.

    Babar Azam was given a cap and a commemorative shield by the captain for playing his 50th Test.

    Pakistan’s squad:

    The national team decided to enter the field with four fast bowlers. The Pakistan team included captain Shan Masood, Imam ul Haque, Abdullah Shafiq, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Salman Ali Agha, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Aamir Jamal, and Khurram Shahzad.

    Australia’s squad:

    The Australian team consists of David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Mitchell Marsh, Travis Head, Alex Carey, Mitchell Starc, captain Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyo,n and Josh Hazlewood.

    It should be noted that this series of three Test matches is being played for the Benaud–Qadir Trophy.

    The practice match between Pakistan and Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra ended in a draw due to a massive electrical storm in Canberra, Australia.

    Pakistan declared on 391 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the first innings thanks to a double century by captain Shan Masood.

    In the second innings, Australia’s PM XI scored 367 runs for the loss of four wickets. PM XI’s Matt Runshaw scored 136 runs, Cameron Bancroft 53, Cameron Green 46, Marcus Harris 49, and Nathan McSweeney scored 40 runs.

    For Pakistan, Khurram Shehzad, Faheem Ashraf, Abrar Ahmed, and Imam-ul-Haq took one wicket each.

    This four-day match was a part of the preparation for the Test match series. The three-match Test series between Pakistan and Australia will be played from December 14 to January 7.
