KRQ still trending as social media launches meme brigade

Controversial writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar is deeply disliked by all progressives for being a misogynist who is waging a war “against feminists” as he says. The aftermath of being kidnapped and held for ransom by a woman keeps unfolding for him, and for the internet. Pakistan’s famous meme brigade has found fodder in the whole fiasco.

Qamar’s explanation of his kidnapping has drawn skepticism online. In a police press conference, Qamar said he went to meet a woman at 4:40 am because his doctor advised him to avoid sunlight for five years. This unusual claim has been widely mocked.

Investigative journalist Umar Cheema reported that Qamar was held between July 15 and 16. According to Qamar, a female fan from London tricked him into meeting her, where a gang then kidnapped, robbed, and assaulted him, even setting fire near his leg to frighten him.

Social media is buzzing with jokes about his sunlight claim, and KRQ is still trending as users share memes.
