Renowned actor Fahad Mustafa recently appeared on The Knock Knock Show with Mohib Mirza, where he also discussed his career his career.
Mirza asked him what he would have done if he had not become an actor, to which Mustafa responded, “If I were not an actor, my father would have opened a biryani restaurant for me.”
“Before acting, my father took me to Faizan Shaikh’s home, who was already running a biryani restaurant.
“Faizan Shaikh and his wife have a biryani business, and our families already knew each other,” he revealed
According to him, the actor’s mother explained how the biryani business was managed and the challenges faced.
“Faizan Shaikh’s mother told me about the herbs to add to the biryani and explained how the business is run.”
He, thus, jokingly remarked, “If I hadn’t become an actor, I would have opened a biryani restaurant.”
Mirza then asked nationally about the most debated concern: Will the biryani include potatoes?
“I did not know biryani had potatoes in it, but my life would have become a potato,” he replied.
On Wednesday, Green Entertainment has released the trailer for ‘College Gate’, an upcoming series about a group of students. Starring Instagram influencers like Mamia Shajaffar and Khaqan Shahnawaz, the series explores the lives of a group of students and how they tackle parental pressure, love, dating and learn to rely on their friends during the tough moments of their lives.

However, the trailer has divided the internet, with many users thinking that the series is just plagarised from hit Netflix shows like ‘Elite’ and ‘Class’.
Others pointed out that despite the fact that the trailer seemed a direct copy of a show about the lives of privileged kids, it did seem like a progressive step that Pakistani dramas were starting to focus on the lives of teenagers!

We can also agree that it’s good for Pakistani dramas to tackle societal pressure and the anxieties of students growing up in this stage, rather than churn out another series focusing on saas bahu conflicts and the satti vs slutty savitri trope.

So while we can agree with some folks on Twitter here that the storyline is completely unoriginal but lets not drop the ball so quickly? Pakistani dramas are in desperate need of some revival right now, and its good that some people with logical minds had actually thought about discussing what issues students are facing today.
Actor Mahira Khan has opened up about her work experience in India and friendship with Bollywood celebs in her latest interview. Speaking of her experience, she said, “I had the most amazing time working in India. I am still in touch with so many people and there’s a lot of love there. Unfortunately, we are easy targets, soft targets, whether it’s us here in Pakistan, whether it’s them there in India. Because we’re artists, and we’re connected by that thread of art, we actually get each other.”
She further said, “So we’re trying to look out for each other, more than anything. Even now, we are so careful with what we write on social media. It’s not that we don’t talk to each other. It’s not that we don’t wish each other on our birthdays. It’s not that we don’t meet each other in different countries. It’s not that – it’s just that we are actually not just protecting ourselves but protecting each other.”
Mahira also mentioned that the reason behind this feud is politics. She said, “Unfortunately, it’s politics, it’s not a personal thing. On both ends, until the time that scapegoats are needed, we will always be that… But let’s say that it gets better. Let’s say that there is someone in power who does not use us as easy targets. That would be lovely. Can you just imagine the collaboration? It would be lovely.”
Last year, Khan shared a seven year old picture from the sets of her Bollywood debut, Raees. The Verna star shared the picture on her Instagram story and made a heart emoji.

Actor Ushna Shah called out a YouTube channel on her Instagram handle for uploading a fake video of her. The video’s thumbnail projected that Shah emotionally discussed her Habs co-star Feroze Khan and his ex-wife Aliza Sultan’s domestic violence case.
The Parizad star shared a screenshot of a YouTube video titled, ‘Feroze’s best friend, Ushna Shah breaks silence on Aliza’s [alleged] abuse’. With a warning sign, the Cheekh actor requested everyone to report the aforementioned clip as it was fabricated and spreading misinformation on the internet.
Shah also captioned the post with a note explaining her action. She wrote, “Normally I ignore such nonsense, but the video is spreading like wildfire. Half a million views!”
She then proceeded to highlight the origin of the footage used in the clip. “Please report this. They have used a clip of me crying about a dog being brutally shot from two years ago and edited it,” clarified the Habs actor.
Although the video now seems to be removed, the detrimental usage of social media is still a poignant cause of concern.
Actor Ayesha Omar is ready to embark on the next phase of life and start a family soon. In a recent tell-all at a digital talk show, the Habs diva spoke at length about her personal life, plans to get married, have children – of herself, and adopt.
She also confessed that she is now ‘ready’ to be a mother and have a family. “I think now I’m ready to be a mother and I want to start a family soon,” Omar told the host.

Pakistani superstar Humayun Saeed is essaying Dr Hasnat Khan, Princess Diana’s love interest in season five of the hit Netflix series, The Crown.
Saeed will be the second Pakistani to be cast in a Netflix Original which will premiere on 9th November 2022.
The actor will play alongside Australian actor Elizabeth Debicki who has been cast as Princess Diana.
Now Elizabeth has praised the London Nahi Jaunga hero in her latest interview, “I absolutely adored Humayun — he was such a lovely actor, and such a beautiful person,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
“You never know how that’s going to feel when you’re playing things like that with an actor. So I was very lucky to have him and I think he does such a beautiful job.”

Dr Hasnat Khan, a British-Pakistani surgeon, is widely known for his romantic, two-year relationship with Diana. In May 1996, she visited his family in Lahore too. Actor Humayoun Ashraf, who recently delivered the blockbuster soap Rang Mahal, appeared on Naumaan Ijaz’s show G Sarkar. The Inteqam star talked about the grey elements of the entertainment industry and shared how he got caught up in them.
After a long break, Ashraf returned to the screens with Rang Mahal, as the antagonist. He stated that he was hesitant at first, but the serial went on to be a huge success.
Humayoun talked about his time in the entertainment business and said that everyone pulls each other’s legs.
