Senior actor Firdous Jamal recently appeared on Ahmad Ali Butt’s chat show, Super Over. On the show, the veteran performer slammed superstars Humayun Saeed and Faysal Qureshi’s acting skills.
While he scored Faysal’s acting as 4/10, he had much more to say about Humayun’s acting chops. Jamal said, “Humayun Saeed has no voice, no character, and nothing like that.” He also said that there are still fools who think he’s a talented actor. “
Amidst the ongoing interview, Zarnish Khan condemned his statements and shared her own experience with the actor. “He cracks me up with his weird issues with things and people, (No offense intended). So long time ago, we were doing a project together and out of respect I said “AOA Firdous uncle, how are you?” and he got pissed ke BB Mainy showbiz industry is lye join nahi ki thi ke log mujhai kabhi uncle bolain. I was like ummmm! Okay then, AOA FIRDOUS SAHAB, “if that works for you.” Uncle or no uncle, he could have been polite. Never mind!”

A video of senior actor Resham surfaced online that saw her throwing meat and bread from the top of a bridge overlooking a large water body to feed the marine life.
The clip immediately went viral because along with food for the fishes, the Jeeva star threw in polythene bags, wrappers and plastic utensils as well.
Netizens trolled Resham for her act. While the clip was temporarily removed from various platforms, Resham offered a justification for her actions.
In response to the flak that she’s garnered on Twitter, among other social media apps, Resham, on Tuesday, contested that there were more alarming issues to worry about. “I admit to having made a mistake by dumping plastic into the flood water but women are gang raped everyday,” The Friday Times quoted her as saying.
“Violence against women is commonplace, yet, everyone’s blinded by a piece of plastic. They are dwelling in a fool’s paradise. I was merely offering sadqah (charity),” she went on. While presenting her “unconditional apology,” she also blamed Covid-19 for having clouded her judgement. “I tested positive for Corona twice and I happen to be absent-minded because of that.”
The Naagin diva revealed that she lost her only brother some time ago too, and so, she’s been struggling with mental health issues. The celebrity, however, asked why her lapse in judgement was causing such a ruckus when clearly, untreated waste is dumped into the sea on a daily basis and industrialists are not held accountable for it. “Why am I getting this special treatment for something I did out of absent-mindedness?” she probed.
“I am in Charsadda as we speak. I have been quietly helping thousands affected in the calamity-hit district. But of course, people are only interested in trolling me. I do a lot of good too,” she pointed out. “I have an enviable, 600,000 people following me just on Facebook. That’s more than enough publicity for me. I feed hundreds. A great deal of what I make is spent on this but people will only comment on that video,” Resham noted.
The Naagin star has been trending on Twitter with numerous users sharing her clip and calling her out for dumping plastic into flood water, that too, on camera, despite being a public figure, and an educated one at that. From asking officials to charge her for this “criminal offence” to schooling her about the irreparable consequences of her “kindness,” people have been flooding to the micro-blogging site to bring attention to her “good deed.”
Several celebrities condemned throwing groceries and plastic shoppers, trays into a river, irrespective of the “pure” the intentions.
Meesha tweeted, “Distributing aid on camera to victims of horrific floods caused by giant climate change calamity right after throwing groceries and plastic shoppers, trays into a river (also on camera).” Armeen wrote, “Don’t throw plastic into rivers and oceans folks. For the record, the road to hell is also paved with good intentions.”
Activist Shaniera Akram shared the viral clip on her Instagram stories and asked, “And who throws meat and plastic containers into the flood affected river, [that too], on camera?” Users said the video “boiled their blood” and that they expect better from “educated” and “influential” members of society.

Mathira commented under a blog’s post who shared this video clip. The Raasta diva slammed Butt for her remarks. Mathira also wrote, “I bet Kiran is one of those girls who are stuck on 25 (years of age) for the next 25 years.”
Earlier this month, Mathira took to her Instagram stories to hit out at fellow actress Kiran Tabier for her recent comment about the Blind Love diva. A fan recently told Kiran that she looks like Mathira’s twin sister.
The Parizaad star expressed her disappointment on the same and sarcastically told the netizen that if she’s a woman, her thinking needs a salute.
Mathira responded to it by saying, “Being compared to me is not swearing or a bad word. But if u think then that’s your head Anyways. Apki Soch ko salam Karna Chahie. Why do people think I am that bad?”
In March 2022, Mathira schooled senior actress Naima Khan for her remarks about a women’s body on Nida Yasir’s morning show. You should look like a girl.”
She also discussed in the morning show that young girls should maintain their bodies so that they could prevent diseases such as blood pressure and diabetes.
Netizens have expressed serious concerns over these statements on social media.
Mathira referred to Naima an ‘aunty’ and told her to focus on herself. She thinks that Naima has an uneducated and toxic thought process, the Blind Love diva couldn’t comprehend how Naima could utter something so unethical during a morning show.

Host and comedian Tabish Hashmi has announced in a recent interview that he will join politics in the next 2-3 years. The Hasna Mana Hai star stated that he likes to challenge himself in life and now after carving his own niche in media, he wants to foray into a more serious profession. “People restrict themselves in terms of professional ambitions, but I don’t.”
Hashmi revealed this on a YouTube show, Foodies Carpool.
Tabish has been doing standup comedy and public speaking since 2004, his college days, but he got fame after hosting the digital show, TBH.
Hashmi recently shared pictures with his family on social media.
Earlier in another interview, the comedian revealed that it was, indeed, Sharma who copied a Pakistani concept and based his show on that and it was not the other way around.
Hashmi said that it was easy for people to say that “Hasna Mana Hai” was similar to Kapil’s show as the sets of both the shows were based on cities that look like each other — Lahore and New Delhi.
“On Kapil’s show, the set depicts Delhi. Our set portrays Lahore, and both cities are identical. have been to both cities. Delhi looks like Lahore, and Lahore looks like Delhi,” said Tabish.
Clapping back at his critics, the comedian-turned-host said that the concept of the set as well as the type of comedy projected on the show was a Pakistani concept.
“This is Umar Sharif’s concept. This is Amanullah’s concept. This is our concept,” said Tabish, adding that no one pointed out that Kapil stole Pakistan’s idea because India spent millions on it and marketed the show as if it was their original idea.
To further prove his point, Hashmi also juxtaposed Indian actor Amir Khan’s “Laal Singh Chaddha” with the Hollywood flick “Forest Gump”. He explained that millions of people would not have watched Tom Hanks’s Oscar-winning film, therefore, many would assume Amir Khan’s work was an original idea.
Tabish said the comparison was “unjust” as Kapil’s show was aired once a week, whereas his show is broadcast thrice a week with unscripted guests.
“In 2007, a show used to be aired on Geo, called “Chouraha”. It was made exactly on Sharma’s show format, but the Indian comedian’s show was introduced in 2011. No one said that Sharma copied Chauraha’s idea,” argued the comedian.
Despite the criticism, Tabish said he wanted his fans to “be by his side” as building a show was a “long haul process”. He added that he will not rest until “Hasna Mana Hai” hit its peak like his last venture.
The comedian, who has recently returned to Pakistan after living in Canada, said that it was an obvious choice for him to migrate from his homeland in the first place.
“In Pakistan, unfortunately, being rich or from the upper middle-class is not sufficient. You also need to have the ability to afford your socio-economic status,” said Tabish. He explained that when he used to live in Karachi, he could afford a car and have luxuries like air conditioners but did not have the money to maintain those things.
The comedian-turned-host said that security and lack of basic necessities was also a factor for him to take such a decision.
“There was no electricity, no safety. You need all these things [especially when] you are staying in a city like Karachi. This used to irritate me because I filed taxes, I was a law-abiding citizen, but even then, I needed to spend more on every basic need, and it made me decide that I must migrate from here,” he said.
When asked why he chose to return, Tabish simply responded by saying that he came back as he had the money to afford all those luxuries now.
