  • ‘I would like to marry a religious person’, Veena Malik reveals her plans for second marriage

    Veena Malik, in a recent interview with Samaa, revealed her plans for her second marriage. “If at all, I’ll marry again and I would like to marry a religious person because one who has a fear of God does not hurt others,” she said while answering a question about her marriage.

    She also said, “i would like to marry a guy who is good looking also with whom i can carry forward my relationship from this world to Jannat”.

    To which the anchor asked, “Veena, is there someone in your life?” to which she said, “No, right now there is no one, but InshAllah there must be somebody, somewhere.”

    The host further asked if she is looking for someone to which Veena jokingly said, “No he will come himself.”

    Veena Malik got married to Asad Khattak in December 2013, the two divorced in 2017, which they confirmed in 2018.

    Earlier this year, in September, the actor, in an interview with a news media publication, said, “Burqa is part of my life since i was 13 years old, and still whenever I go outside I wear burqa, not because someone has imposed it over me but because it’s my own choice, I feel very secure and safe.”

    The discovery of Actor Hania Amir’s ‘twin’ was made by a Twitter user who goes by thincrustgirl. Turning to Twitter on Monday, the netizen shared a photo from a makeup enthusiast’s account with Instagram username ‘fancymaggot.’

    “Is this realhaniahehe from a parallel universe???” the fan captioned her post.

    Hania’s fans were quick to respond to the viral photo, expressing their disbelief at the uncanny resemblance.

    “Hania is wayyyy more pretty,” wrote one fan while another added: “How do I unsee this,” with shocked emoticons.

    Meanwhile, Hania Aamir is busy promoting her upcoming drama Sang-e-Mah. The Momina Duraid Productions project also stars singer Atif Aslam.

    ‘Shahroz is very much involved,’ Syra Yousuf opens up about being a single mother

    Actor Syra Yousuf has opened up about her experience being a single mother. She recently appeared in an interview, in which she was asked about the challenges she has to face.

    “Shahroz and I, we make sure that we co-parent Nooreh so the other parent is never absent. He is very much involved, his parents, Nooreh’s grandparents are very much involved,” she said.

    The actor further shared, “I have that support so I don’t think that I feel the challenges of a single mother.”

    Earlier this year in September, Shahroz Sabzwari praised Syra for raising their daughter Nooreh well.

    Syra and Shahroz tied the knot in 2012 after a long on-off relationship which began in 2006. The celebrity couple separated in late 2019 and later confirmed their divorce in February 2020. The very same year later, Shahroz tied the knot with model Sadaf Kanwal.

    On the work front, Syra can be seen in the ISPR sponsored drama serial Sinf-e-Aahan. Written by Umera Ahmed and helmed by Nadeem Baig, Sinf-e-Aahan airs on ARY Digital.

    EXCLUSIVE: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry reviews Khel Khel Mein

    Khel Khel Mein starring Bilal Abbas Khan and Sajal Aly is the the first Pakistani film to release post the pandemic and it has brought life back to cinemas which were witnessing a lull for the last two years.  The film is based on true events and is set on the backdrop of a university group investigating the ‘secrets’ of 1971’s liberation of East Pakistan.

    The special screening of the movie was held last night (Monday) in Islamabad. Notable personalities including President of Pakistan Arif Alvi, First Lady Begum Samina Arif Alvi, Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan Fawad Chaudhry and Senator Faisal Javed Khan graced the event.

    The movie has been receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The Current reached out to Fawad Chaudhry to find out what he has to say about the newly released movie.

    The minister said that what he liked most about the movie is the choice of topic as not much work has been done on the tragedy that took place in 1971. “Still millions of people are stuck in Karachi, Lahore and Dhaka and no one has talked about them, so this movie talks about them,” said the minister.

    “It’s a sensitive subject and they [movie makers] have made the movie in a very balanced way,” says Fawad.

    Fawad continued by praising the production quality of movie saying, “Cinematography, direction and sets are really good.” He concluded by saying, “It is a worth watch movie.”

    The movie was released on November 19. The historical drama is directed by Nabeel Quershi.

    ‘We Muslims dare you’: Zoya Nasir lashes out at ‘Sooryavanshi’ for using Islamaphobic content

    Pakistani actor Zoya Nasir has schooled Indian movie makers for the ‘Islamaphobic’ elements in Bollywood’s ‘Sooryavanshi’.

    Taking to Instagram stories, the Zebaish actor said: “Good and bad people exist everywhere in the world so do the forceful religious conversions. It’s repulsive to see the hot shots of Bollywood just decided to roll it in casually in what seemed to be a light hearted comedy movie, not considering the ramifications or how it may inspire/encourage the extremist Modi followers to do to the Indian Muslims.”

    The actor further said: “Enjoy your 100 crore club with a good conscious boys. We Muslims dare you.”

    Starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead, the also features Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn. The film has already raked in over INR 160 crores at the box office.

    Earlier, Pakistan’s President Arif Alvi expressed his disappointment on the same movie.

    Actor Ushna Shah has extended support to cricketer Hassan Ali, after the pacer has received criticism from a section of cricket fans after yesterday’s Match.

    Australia defeated Pakistan on Thursday night by 5 wickets in Dubai in the second semi-final. Hassan Ali dropped a catch of Matthew Wade at a crucial moment, which is being termed as the turning point of last night’s match. Matthew Wade scored scored 41 on 17 balls.

    “Please remember that Hassan Ali, a human, dropped a difficult catch during a difficult moment. No Pakistani is feeling as bad as he is. The team got as far as they did due to camaraderie and support, let’s follow their example and be kind to them all, including & especially him,” she wrote in a tweet.

    The Jawani Phir Nahi Aani star was invited on Ahsan khan’s Show with her husband and shared the incident with the host that when she was expecting her second child, a relative made an inappropriate comment on her decision. The relative said, “It seems you guys are bored, shall we send you a TV?”

    She elaborated that the individual meant that if the couple would spend time watching TV, they won’t get busy making babies.

    The Dil-e-Muztar diva also mentioned that it was a male relative who made this comment. Moreover, the two didn’t even have an open friendship or a level of frankness that could warrant this comment.

    She said that mostly such comments or remarks are passed by men and it shouldn’t be anyone’s business telling her what she should do in her personal life.
