Mahira Khan wanted to avoid photoshoot with husband before marriage

Famous actor Mahira Khan has recently talked about her beautiful wedding clothes and shared her ideas for sunset photos with her husband Salim Karim.

Mahira Khan talked to Lollywood space where she said that when the photos were first shared last October along with news of her marriage to Salim Karim, it was unexpected. She said all those pictures were taken casually, surprising everyone.
“I didn’t know that wedding photographers take pictures before the wedding ceremony, maybe at the studio or the wedding venue, and I was not prepared for it,” Khan remembered.
The ‘Aik Hai Nigar’ star went on to say, “I told them I can’t take photos with Salim before we officially signed the marriage papers, because I wanted him to see me after we got married.”

“So when I arrived, I was in one corner, he was in another, peeking through his Sehra, and I had my veil. That’s when we signed the papers. I walked towards him, and he saw me for the first time. And that’s what I wanted,” she explained. She added that when she met her now-husband, she completely forgot about the pictures they were supposed to take after the wedding ceremony. “My team and photographers rushed about because the sun was about to set.”

“I mentioned that we stood at a nearby cliff for some last-minute photoshoot,” said Khan. “I didn’t want any fancy poses or editorials,” she added. “I wanted to enjoy my day without worrying about the pictures.”

Mahira Khan got married to Salim Karim, who is an entrepreneur and CEO of a startup based in Pakistan. They had a small and private wedding ceremony in Bhurban in October last year.

Lights, Camera, Marriage: actors shocked at their ‘real’ marriages

Remember those glamorous on-screen weddings you’ve seen in your favorite films and dramas? Well, it turns out they might not be as pretend as we thought! According to this scholar, tying the knot on screen could mean saying “I do” in real life too.

Yep, you heard it right! That snippet from SAMAA TV’s Sehri show last year, where the scholar dropped this bombshell, has resurfaced and gone viral faster than a gossip scandal.

But hold onto your popcorn, because the surprises don’t end there. Not only did the scholar suggest that on-screen marriages could be legit, but they also hinted that on-screen divorces might spell the end for real-life couples. Talk about drama on and off the screen.

Now, while we’re all for a good love story, some folks online are scratching their heads over this revelation. After all, when was the last time you saw a full-blown wedding ceremony in a movie? And how exactly does a fake “I do” translate into a real deal?

But amidst the confusion, there’s one group of people who are having a field day with this news – single actors! They’re joyfully tallying up their on-screen spouses, with some even joking about having more marriages than they can count. “Just counted… I have got 97 nikkahs then. Where are my wives, bro?” actor Ali Abbas asked in the comments section

Ushna Shah thought it was time to have an “awkward conversation” with her husband. Ahsan Khan responded with a surprised, “Seriously?”

Daniyal Afzal Khan jokingly demanded someone to bring him his wives. Umer Alam Khan made a lighthearted remark, saying, “Going by this, I’ve been married thrice now. Still have room for one more. That’ll probably happen in the next drama.”

Rapper and comedian Ali Gul Pir shared the video on his Instagram stories to make fun of the situation. He joked, “And you can get divorced by saying ‘Say pencil, your wedding’s cancelled’.”

  • Performance matters more than who your father is, says Zaviyar Ejaz

Performance matters more than who your father is, says Zaviyar Ejaz

In a sincere and honest talk, Pakistani actor Zaviyar Ejaz, son of celebrated thespian Nouman Ejaz, talked openly about his time in showbiz, what he hopes for, and the difficulties he’s encountered. He had a chat with Independent Urdu where he talked about trying comedy and what he wants to do in future movies.

Discussing his new comedy show called ‘Rafta Rafta’, the actor said, “I chose this project because I’ve never tried comedy before, and I was excited to give it a shot. Plus, it’s a short series, just six episodes, so I thought it would be a fun experiment.”

Ejaz said he really likes trying out comedy and enjoys it, stressing how important it is to act in a way that feels real to people watching. He believes that real success comes from how viewers react to the performances.

The actor explained his role in the show. He said, “I act as a guy who ran away from Lahore to Karachi because he doesn’t want to marry his cousin, and his mom is pushing him to. Now in Karachi, he lives with Saheefa’s character, Savera, who is his landlady. He’s broke and loves her, but she’s strict and proud.”

When asked if he’s happy with his comedy acting compared to his serious roles before, Ejaz said each type of acting has its own difficulties and good parts. He mentioned there’s no real way to compare them directly. But he believes it’s important to feel good about each scene and make sure every moment feels real to the audience.

He said, “When I look back at the last two years, I really enjoyed doing comedy. It wasn’t as tough as I expected. But we’ll have to see how it looks on screen. I always give my best in whatever I do. If it feels natural, that’s great. If not, people will notice.”

He said, “If people enjoy seeing me in comedies and I get more chances, I’ll surely do it.” Talking about possible movie offers, Ejaz said he’s gotten offers, but he wants to keep getting better at acting and wait for the perfect chance to shine in movies. He’s ready to take on the challenge of moving to the big screen whenever the moment feels right.

Talking about working with his dad, famous actor Nauman Ejaz, he said he was nervous at first but learned a lot from his dad’s professionalism and advice. He thinks it’s important to concentrate on doing a good job no matter what pressure or expectations there are.

The actor shared, “I was scared because I was working with Nauman Ejaz. And there was no father-son relationship with him on set. He told me from day one that I am your colleague on set and I am your senior, not your father. So he kept that relationship with me and I worked on that.”

He said the experience was “totally scary,” but he’s good at separating his personal and work life. “When I had to act with them, I had to stop thinking about our relationship and just focus on my character.” He said, “You need to block out distractions and concentrate on your job. On camera, no one cares about your personal stuff. If you do well, that’s what matters. It’s all about your performance, not your identity or who your father is. That’s what I think.”

Ejaz said he wants to keep working with experienced actors to learn more. He might even play negative roles again because people liked his last one. He’s excited about what’s coming next.

The actor recently appeared on Alief TV’s show ‘Meri Maa’. During the episode, he opened up about his challenging relationship with his mother, citing her strict nature as the reason for the distance between them. He also discussed his relationship with his father on the show.
“My mother began to grow distant and stopped communicating with me after her separation. I deeply missed her presence. She was a hardworking and capable businesswoman who knew how to expand her business. She was also a well-dressed woman who eventually remarried, only to separate again. During this time, I would tell my mom, ‘Not everyone in your life can be wrong. You need to relax and take it easy. You’re getting older, and it’s time to find peace.’ My priorities have shifted over time, and now that I’m a grown man, I’m willing to do anything for you, but you need to calm down first. You’re always angry with me, blaming me for someone else’s actions.”
Talking about, his mother’s reaction on his father’s death, Shamoon said, “I didn’t cry on my father’s death, in fact, I received my mother’s call after my father’s death. She said, ‘Today, I have become a widow’. I got so upset and I cried a lot because she never forgot my father in her life, even after moving on.”
Shamoon recounted the final moments of his mother: “I wasn’t able to see her before she passed away because she didn’t let me know about her condition. I received a call informing me of her death. Although a family was taking care of her, they hadn’t seen her for two days, and she passed away during that time. It’s one of my life’s greatest regrets that no one saw her for two days after she died.”

He further said, “I was actually upset with my mother. I had heard she had blood cancer, so I stayed with her and took care of her during her illness. However, after she recovered, she started arguing with me, which upset me, and I stopped visiting her.”
