I felt the need to detach myself from the character before engaging with others. The year-long filming process deeply immerses you into the character, making it a part of yourself. So, I felt it was essential to take a break, to disconnect and recharge.”
Asked about a possible sequel, he said, “I saw Hashim Nadeem’s story on his Instagram and found out about it from his post. Going back to it will be challenging. I need to read it and feel it before deciding. But, a part of me is really curious and wants to see where Parizaad’s life goes. Let’s wait and see what Hashim Bhai has in store. I’m really curious; I have no idea.”

3 Parizaad (2021)

Actor Ali Abbas’ acting career kicked off with director Amin Iqbal’s drama Meri Dulari opposite Yumna Zaidi on Geo TV. He weighed 86 kilos before stepping into TV and lost around 9 kilos to look the part.
However Ali revealed on Nida Yasir’s morning show that on the first day of his shoot, the veteran director slammed him. According to the Meherposh star, Amin told him that he doesn’t look like a star and will never become one, also that he doesn’t have the qualities in him to be a leading hero. This incident dampened his confidence.
Now in an exclusive interview with The Current while promoting his movie Rehbra, Amin Iqbal responded to Ali’s allegations. The Ishq-e-Laa maker said, “The judgement could be wrong at times as I am a human too but whatever I have said about someone, it has become true. There is a difference between being a star and being an actor.
“I have introduced artists like Yumna Zaidi, Saba Qamar and Sameer Sohail from Lahore to the showbiz fraternity, even recently when I casted Azaan Sami Khan in Ishq-e-Laa, people scrutinised his casting in the play but respect and disrespect is in the hands of God.”
“I know his father and grandfather personally and have had good terms with him.”
Iqbal concluded by saying that now that Ali is in a better space career wise, it could be because of the remarks that Amin gave him early on his career as Abbas must have improved himself after it.
Earlier this year Abbas appreciated his contemporary Ahmed Ali Akbar in an interview with Maliha Rehman.
The Mere Apnay star stated that Ahmad has given a superlative performance in Parizaad and it makes him happy that underrated actors like him are now getting leading roles in mainstream projects.
He added that at the time of Ehd-e-Wafa there was noise about him being sidelined in the play which starred bigger names like Ahad Raza Mir and Osman Khalid Butt alongside him.
Ehd-e-Wafa emerged as a blockbuster in 2020 and starred an ensemble cast.
The Fitrat star mentioned that he is the biggest fan of Naumaan Ijaz and takes inspiration from him while performing, especially from his performance in Mera Saeen.
Kiran Tabeir is currently riding high on the success of her recent dramas, Parizaad and Judwa, in an exclusive chat with a digital portal the Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah diva opened up about her experiences in the entertainment industry.
She said, “I gave an audition for a radio show and got selected, then became a host on a cooking show without telling my family,” she began. “Later on, there was too much drama and I started living with my khala because my father was against my career choices.”
“He had put a condition that I should get married to pursue this career and Alhumdulillah, maybe it was destined that I met my husband during a drama shoot,” the Uraan star added. “Then, I did Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain and finally people started noticing me.”
“Today, if anyone says that casting couch does not exist in this industry then I will not accept it,” said Tabeir. “I started with very small roles; my journey started from playing extras, junior artists, minor supporting roles, major supporting, negative, negative lead, and then I have reached lead characters.”
“I have a long journey and it is a process,” she continued. “People usually write that I have not reached the position where I should be despite being a good actress and I think this ‘casting couch’ is one of the factors to be blamed for it.”
“I was finalized for a lot of big projects; I got calls to meet with some big-shot director or producer two days before the shoot and when I did not accept the invitation, I was told that the project has been delayed. Later, I saw those dramas with a different cast on TV,” she said.
“I believe that it exists but that does not undermine the hard work of many actors. Not everyone is a part of it and this is not the only way to success. However, every actor has to face it one way or the other,” she expressed.
Earlier in another interview with a digital portal, the Parizaad diva expressed her reservations regarding the process of casting being done in the showbiz industry.
Kiran said, “10 years ago when I started my career it wasn’t that difficult to find work without any social media power, but now it seems impossible to find work without having any social media power. Nowadays you can’t become an actor just on the basis of talent.”
Tabeer further added, “You were eligible to work in a drama or film if you have that talent to portray a character strongly. Now the thing which matters is your social media followers rather than your talent and hard work. Social media stars are being cast in dramas nowadays just because people know them and they have social media power. Talent is not considered as the first priority in the current era.”
