Both have, to the police, confessed that the entire incident was pre-planned. Interestingly, she was present at Tahir Anjum’s house at the time of her arrest.
Earlier, videos emerged on social media in which Neeli Pari was seen assaulting Anjum by stopping his car and even tearing his clothes outside the Punjab Assembly.

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is going to run for chancellor of Oxford University while being imprisoned in Adiala Jail, The Telegraph reported.
The chancellor’s seat became vacant after the resignation of Lord Patten, who held the coveted post for 21 years.
Khan will enter an online ballot for the position from his prison cell in Pakistan. However, his victory is unlikely, according to The Telegraph.
Historically, this is the first time the elections for the chancellor will be held online, as previously, the traditional procedure was adopted in which graduates were required to attend the process in full academic dress.
“Imran Khan will contest for the chancellor of Oxford University as there is a public demand that he should contest,” Zulfi Bukhari told The Telegraph.
United States State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller held a press briefing in Washington today expressing “concerns” over the arrest of opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders while urging the government to respect human rights and democratic principles.
“We have seen the reports of the arrests of PTI leaders. We are always concerned when we see arrests of opposition leaders,” stated the spokesperson.
His remarks came after the recent arrest of PTI’s information secretary Raoof Hasan, for allegedly heading a “digital media cell responsible for international propaganda against the state of Pakistan.”
Raoof Hasan was taken into custody by Islamabad Police on Monday from the PTI’s Central Secretariat in Islamabad while the police also seized some computers from the place.

The Lahore police team, including Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) officials, tried to question former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
“I am under investigation by many agencies and will not take any tests for now. I will give the police time later regarding different tests,” said Khan to the police’s questions.
However, after assurances from DSP Javed Asif of Lahore Police that justice would be ensured, Khan agreed to answer questions for 15 minutes but refused the tests.

Fiza Ali is known for being outspoken but did she recently cross lines with a girl who asked her for advice?
During a live show, the television host got angry at a young caller who asked for love advice. This heated exchange is now trending on social media. The viral video shows a teenaged girl calling into Fiza’s show, sharing that she has feelings for a boy and asking for advice and a spiritual solution to win his love.
The 18-year-old caller said that although she has strong feelings for the boy, he doesn’t show any interest in her.
Fiza Ali, clearly frustrated, asked the girl her age and then lost her temper.
Turning to the religious scholar on the show, she questioned the moral values of society and why such issues need to be discussed. The scholar responded that proper upbringing is crucial and parents must pay more attention.
Fiza did not hold back, calling the girl shameless for bringing up such a topic on live television.
“There should be a limit to shamelessness,” she said, adding that the girl’s parents should be embarrassed.
After calming down, Fiza advised the girl to focus on her education and make her parents proud instead of getting into a relationship. She also emphasized the importance of being a good role model for younger siblings.
The intense moment has sparked a conversation online, with people divided over Fiza’s reaction and the girl’s request for advice.
Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has lashed out at the Supreme Court of Pakistan for its recent verdict in the reserved seats case, saying, “I would like to ask the SC judges to let the country function.”
Last week, the Supreme Court of Pakistan declared the PTI a constitutional party and annulled the ECP’s and the Peshawar High Court’s decisions regarding the reserved seats case.
She also accused the SC judges of “rewriting the constitution to bring one person back to mainstream politics.”
The CM Punjab exclaimed, “It doesn’t make sense at all that a party that didn’t even ask for anything was given everything on a platter.”
Maryam Nawaz further warned, “We will not let this be a cakewalk for you. This government will complete its five-year tenure. If anyone tries to create political instability, they will be dealt with iron hands,”
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab has stated on Friday that it has arrested Amin al Haq, a close aide of Osama bin Laden – founder of terrorist organisation Al-Qaeda – in Gujrat district.
“The terrorist was apprehended during an intelligence-based operation,” DIG CTD Usman Akram Gonadal said, adding that he was taken into custody from Sarai Alamgir, a town in the Gujrat district.
According to CTD, Amin al Haq was among the top fighters of the extremist group, involved in several terrorist activities, and associated with bin Laden since 1996.
“He was seen in Afghanistan in 2021. He also has Pakistan’s ID Card, on which Lahore and Haripur’s addresses have been provided,” the CTD officer added.
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has disclosed that there are rumours of suspending the elections in the country, and the government would defend such a situation if it arises.
Speaking to Geo News, Asif stated, “There is an uncertain environment in the country, in which the politicians as well the judiciary are responsible.”
He also stated that there is a danger of constitutional meltdown in the country and agreed with the recent Fitch report about the collapse of the current government in 18 months. He said, “People are ready to join the technocratic government now.”
Interestingly, he also admitted that the ban on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was premature because consultation with allies is necessary.

“We expect that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led government will remain in power over the coming 18 months and will succeed in pushing through with International Monetary Fund (IMF) mandated fiscal reforms,” predicted BMI, in its Pakistan Country Risk Report for the fourth quarter of the calendar year 2024.
