    PSL 9: Peshawar Zalmi defeats Karachi Kings by 2 runs in last ball thriller

    In the 29th match of Pakistan Super League 9, Peshawar Zalmi defeats Karachi Kings by 2 runs in a last ball thriller match in National Stadium Karachi.

    Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bat against Karachi Kings.

    Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi scored 147 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Captain Babar Azam scored 51 runs, apart from this Saim Ayub scored 19, Muhammad Haris 13, Rovman Powell 30 and Aamir Jamal scored 8 runs.

    Arafat Minhas, Zahid Mehmood and Hasan Ali took one wicket each for Karachi Kings.

    Chasing the target of 148, Karachi Kings openers gave a very good start of 61 runs on the board. Tim Seifert scored 41 runs, James Vince 21, Shoaib Malik 22, Irfanullah Niazi 39, and Anwar Ali scored 14 runs.

    On the last ball, Karachi needed 4 runs, Aamir Jamal bowled a very good yorker to Irfanullah Niazi and he missed the ball, Karachi Kings lost this match by 2 runs.

    In the 21st match of Pakistan Super League 9, Peshawar Zalmi defeats Multan Sultans by four runs after a thriller match in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

    Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bat first against Multan Sultans.

    Peshawar Zalmi scored 204 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, captain Babar Azam scored 64 runs. Apart from this, Saim Ayub scored 46 runs, Haseebullah scored 31 runs and Asif Ali scored 11 runs. Rovman Powell scored 23 runs and Aamir Jamal scored 12 runs.

    Usama Mir took 3 wickets and Chris Jordan took 2 wickets for Multan Sultans.

    Chasing the target of 205 runs, Multan Sultan took aggressive start by hitting 14 runs in first over. Multans captian Muhammad Rizwan scored 32 runs, Chris Jordan 30 while Iftikhar Ahmed scored 60 runs of just 21 balls but could not chase down the total.

    Multan scored 200 runs for the loss of five wickets in alloted 20 overs.

    From Peshawar’s side Aamir Jamal took two while Mehran Mumtaz and Naveen ul Haq took one wicket each.

    PSL 9: Arif Yaqoob turns the table, Peshawar Zalmi defeats Islamabad United by 8 runs

    In the match of Pakistan Super League season 9, Peshawar Zalmi defeats Islamabad United by 8 runs thanks to excellent bowling by Arif Yaqoob in 19th over of the match.

    Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and invited Peshawar Zalmi to bat first.

    Zalmi captain Babar Azam remained unbeaten by scoring 111 runs, Babar Azam’s 63-ball innings included 2 sixes and 14 fours. Apart from them, Saim Ayub scored 38 runs and Paul Walter scored 19 runs, Asif Ali scored 17 runs and remained not out. Peshawar Zalmi scored 201 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs while playing first.

    On behalf of Islamabad United, Shadab Khan took 2 wickets, Agha salman and Naseem Shah took one wicket each.

    Islamabad United was successfully chasing the target of Zalmi, as they were playing on 181 runs by losing only two wicket in 17.5 overs. Azam khan was spectecullar with 75 runs on just 30 balls while Colin Munro was on 71 runs.

    Peshawar Zalmi’s Captain Babar Azam give the 19th over to Amir Yaqoob which was the match decider over for Peshawar Zalmi. Yaqoob took four wickets in this over by conceding just two runs. Islamabad needed 19 runs in last over but they could not manage to win the match and Zalmi wina the match by 8 runs.

    From Zalmi’s side Amir Yaqoob took five wickets.
