The Islamabad district administration has allowed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a public rally at Tarnol Chowk in Islamabad on July 6, ARY News has reported.
After the issuance of the NOC, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) dismissed the plea filed by PTI leader Amir Masood Mughal.
Justice Babar Sattar heard the petition and remarked that the Islamabad district administration allowed PTI to hold a power show, and the party should stop creating more problems now.
PTI leader Shoaib Shaheen said that the party needed more time to arrange the public rally. Justice Babar Sattar said the party is big enough to organise everything within a few hours.
Earlier, the capital city’s administration rejected PTI’s request to hold a public rally in Islamabad against rigging in the February 8 general elections amid security concerns.
Former leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Fawad Chaudhry, has criticized the party’s current heads, stating that there is no possibility of incarcerated former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s release in the presence of the current leadership, Geo News reported on Sunday.
“[Due to] lack of political strategy of current PTI leadership, all of us are suffering,” said the former vice president of the party, who left PTI after the May 9 events.
He also replied to criticism that those who left Imran Khan during a difficult time have started speaking up for him now that the draught period has passed.
“Tough times have not ended for the jailed former premier and other PTI leaders. Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry and others are still behind bars and going through a difficult time,” Fawad Chaudhry said.
“Some people start their journey from Peshawar and return after staging a rally in Lahore,” he remarked.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat, who previously received a show-cause notice from the party, said on Friday that he is saddened by the way former Prime Minister Imran Khan made party decisions about him.
“I am not upset with him; however, why were these decisions made without hearing me out,” asked the politician while speaking with journalists outside the Parliament House in Islamabad.
“If [people] think it is better for me to stay sidelined, then so be it. I said I would resign if they want me to,” he told the members of the press, adding that he hasn’t met the former prime minister as of yet.
The famous PTI leader expressed sadness after being removed from the party’s core and political committees at the direction of PTI founder Imran Khan.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and the party’s vice president Shah Mahmood Qureshi were acquitted on Monday in two cases related to long march vandalism, Geo News reported.
Judicial Magistrate Ehtesham Alam cleared the politicians in both cases.
The court also acquitted other politicians, including Ali Muhammad Khan, Murad Saeed, and former PTI leader Asad Umar in both cases.
Asad Umar and Ali Muhammad Khan appeared before the court to mark their attendance as the cases were registered against them at Golra Police Station.
On May 30, the court acquitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in two similar cases related to May 9 violence.
“Because of insufficient evidence presented by the prosecution, the PTI founder has been acquitted,” the district and sessions court said in its verdict.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it will not take part in Senate polls in Sindh on April 2, citing alleged widespread rigging.
“Senate elections are being won through rigging,” PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh said while addressing a press conference in Karachi on Sunday.
He said that the people who won elections according to Form 45 are not members of the Sindh Assembly. Pointing out that six candidates supported by PTI were participating in the Senate elections in Sindh, he said they have decided to boycott the upcoming polls.
“The incumbent government is going to be buried in a mass grave. We won elections on 180 seats in the general elections, but most of them were taken away,” he alleged.
On Wednesday, 14 candidates decided to withdraw their nomination papers for the Senate elections in the province. Following this, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is expected to secure one of the two Senate seats reserved for women without facing any competition.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser said on Tuesday that his party is planning to launch a street movement against the “stealing” of their mandate by their opponents in the February 8 elections. “We will unite all political forces and will launch a movement within the law and Constitution,” said Qaiser while speaking to media persons in Islamabad on Tuesday. The PTI leader said that they are planning to take to the streets in all provinces so their demands are met, adding that they will snatch their rights. “Our movement will continue and will bring together all political forces,” he said, adding that they will forge an alliance.
The former National Assembly (NA) speaker stated that they will peacefully protest because they don’t trust the government led by Shehbaz Sharif, which they consider fake.
Liaqat Ali Chatha, the ex-Rawalpindi commissioner, who made explosive allegations about the alleged manipulation of the February 8 polls in favour of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidates but later withdrew them, has now claimed that PTI’s top leadership planned the entire rigging propaganda.
He said in his official statement on Thursday that “After the incident of May 9, 2023, as with other leadership of Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI), the said prominent leader of Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI) also absconded from courts, was declared as a Proclaim Offender (PO) and has been hiding. Throughout this time, I had direct contact with him, and I kept on discreetly helping him on various issues. Consequently, my relationship with the prominent Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI) leader evolved into a very close friendship based on a high level of trust.”
Further adding that he also stated, “After the General Elections (“GEs”) of 2024, on 11February 2024 I secretly and discreetly travelled to Lahore and held a meeting with him. It was in this meeting, that he made an offer to me that if I played a role in supporting the Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf’s (PTI) ongoing narrative of rigging in general elections (“GEs”) and maligning state institutions, he would ensure a lucrative position for me in future. He informed me that this entire plan had been formulated after consultation and approval of the senior leadership of Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI).”
He goes on to elaborate that the two had a detailed discussion on the proposed press conference. “He conveyed to me the general direction which was needed to be adopted. Initially it was proposed by me that I would write the entire narrative and submit the same as part of my resignation. However, this proposal was dropped by the said prominent Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI) leader as such written resignation would not create any sensations for their narrative building. After detailed discussions, it was agreed that a press conference would be conducted by me at a time and date to be conveyed after consultation and approval of the senior leadership of Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI).
He further mentioned that “The primary aim of this proposed press conference was to create sensations and drama augmenting false narratives being built by the Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI).”
“The name of the Chief Justice of Pakistan was taken with the aim of creating mistrust in general public against him. The Chief Justice of Pakistan did not have any role in the entire election process. However, I was specifically asked by said prominent leader of Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI) to name the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP). He told me that he had been specifically asked by his top leadership to do so. The aims behind naming the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) were manifold. I was told that it would help in creating the momentum of this entire narrative as Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI) had already been sowing seeds of doubts and distrust in the public minds against the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP),” the ex-Rawalpindi commissioner added.

PTI leader Hammad Azhar, while responding to a question in Geo News‘ programme Report Card, regarding Imran Khan’s audio leak, has said that, “We are not against the US but pro-Pakistan.”
He added that Imran Khan is willing to move past the cypher issue for the sake of good relations between both the countries.
Azhar further said that facts have shown that the real motivation for cypher was domestically-driven.
Earlier in the day, a conversation between Imran Khan and US Congresswoman Maxine Moore Waters surfaced online.
In the audio clip, the former prime minister can be heard requesting the American politician to issue a statement about what’s happening in Pakistan “as it will create waves”.
After his ouster from power in April 2022 through a Vote of No-Confidence, Imran Khan had blamed America for removing his government.

As soon as the trailer of the upcoming film was out, Abrar shared his statement.
“I have not sold my song Nach Punjaban to any Indian movie and reserve the right to go to court to claim damages. Producers like @karanjohar should not use copy songs. This is my 6th song being copied which will not be allowed at all,” Abrar tweeted.
