    PML-N to file case against Buzdar for stealing records from his own office

    Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s Punjab Information Secretary Azma Bokhari revealed that the party will register a case against Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar for allegedly stealing ‘official records’ of the CM House, reports Dawn.

    In a statement, she said, “Buzdar has removed the official records from the CM House and shifted it to an unidentified place,” while adding that if he [Buzdar] had not removed official records why did he delete video footage of the CM House when moving things around.

    Bokhari also alleged that CM Punjab has become a billionaire through corruption and he has made properties. She claimed that Buzdar would soon leave PTI and join another political party.

    However, the Punjab government said that these allegations are rubbish.

    Earlier, on another matter, the provincial government also dismissed reports regarding CM Buzdar that he had directed the concerned department to prepare a summary for enhancing the perks and privileges for ‘former’ CMs.

    Punjab Govt fixes new price of Covid 19 PCR test

    The new price of Corona PCR test in Punjab has been fixed at Rs 4,800, reports Geo News. The private hospitals and laboratories in the province will have to abide by the new price.

     “All hospitals and private laboratories are hereby directed to charge Rs4800 for the test,”  the handout issued by the Punjab Healthcare Commission read

    The Punjab Healthcare Commission has said that laboratories which do not comply with the price will be sealed and fined.

    As per the National Command Operation Center (NCOC), Pakistan recorded 7963 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours with 27 people losing their lives to the deadly virus

  • Dengue on the rise in Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif urges govt to protect people

    Ninety-two cases of dengue have been reported in Punjab in the last 24 hours, Dawn has reported. Of those 92 cases, 64 cases were reported from Lahore. As per the details, 828 cases of dengue virus have been reported in Punjab, and 687 in Lahore.

    Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif has urged the government to implement dengue control guidelines to protect people.

    “Dengue is spreading & people are getting infected. I would ask the government to implement the dengue control guidelines & protocols that are already in place to mitigate the threat. People’s lives are precious and every measure should be adopted to protect them from dengue,” Shehbaz wrote in a tweet.

    In 2019, more than 8,670 cases of dengue were recorded in Punjab alone with over 50,000 reported from all over Pakistan.

    Punjab govt launches home delivery app for fruits and vegetables

    The Punjab Government, in collaboration with a private company, has introduced a home delivery system for fruits and vegetables in Multan and Rawalpindi.

    Through the app, residents of the city will be able to get fruits and vegetables delivered to their doorsteps without going to the market.

    The launch ceremony for the initiative took place at Circuit House where Chairman Non-Ministerial Standing Committee on Government Assurances, Mian Aamir Dogar, Parliamentary Secretary, Nadeem Qureshi, and Deputy Commissioner Multan were present.

    Mian Aamir Dogar hoped that the citizens will respond positively to the initiative as it is launched to make their life easier.

    Earlier, the Islamabad management had also launched a similar service for the residents from where they could order these items online at DC-approved rates.
