    PCB postpones Quaid-e-Azam Trophy

    The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has postponed the most important first-class tournament, the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. The event was supposed to start on October 20, but the details of the season have not been finalized yet.

    According to reports, the announcement of the new dates for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is expected soon, and the domestic department is waiting for the approval of Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in ​​this regard.

    Regional teams were supposed to participate in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, and the players of different regions were busy preparing for it, but the final teams have not yet been announced, and the schedule has not been decided.

    This is not the first time that PCB has changed the domestic cricket schedule. Earlier, the U-19 tournament was also stopped and postponed on the first day after it started.

    The PCB Domestic Department has also instructed the departments to be ready for the President’s Trophy as a backup plan.

    If there is further delay in organizing the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, a first-class departmental tournament will be organized first. This tournament was earlier scheduled for January 6.

    Pakistan Test opener Abid Ali is flying back home to his family in Lahore after completing his two-week post operational rehab in Karachi. The cricketer posted the update about his health on Twitter.

    “Alhumdulilah, by the grace of Allah Almighty, I have completed my two-week post operational rehab in Karachi. The medical staff was amazing there. I am flying back to Lahore tomorrow to meet my family,” he tweeted while sharing a picture with his medical team.

    He thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the help and requested his fans to “keep praying”.

    Abid was taken to the hospital during a match of Quaid-e-Azam trophy in Karachi after he complained of chest pain. The cricketer was later dignosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome.

    Abid underwent two heart procedures, two stents were put into his blocked arteries through angioplasty.

    Earlier, the cricketer updated his fans about his improving health and said that he is getting better.

    Zaman hit a quick-fire fifty, smashing 9 fours and a monstrous six in the 5-day match.

    After the match, Zaman also took selfies with his fans.

    KP has won the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy cricket tournament title for the fifth time while successfully defending its title. The team has won five consecutive domestic tournaments in two years.

    Northern who were set a 384-run target on the final day, went down fighting as they were bowled out for 214 in their second innings with 18.4 overs left in the final session of the match.

    Pakistan Test opener Abid Ali has been advised to rest for two months after angioplasty, confirmed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

    Abid suffered from Acute Coronary Syndrome. While batting during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match, the cricketer complained of chest pain after which he was taken to the hospital. There he had angioplasty and stents were inserted. The stent was inserted for the second time on Thursday.

    As per details, the doctors have advised him to rest for two months after which he would be re-examined.

    The PCB stated that its medical team is consulting cardiologists abroad. While the board also requested the people to give the player and his family some privacy.

    Taking to Twitter, PCB wrote: “Abid Ali on Thursday commenced his rehabilitation.”

    “As part of his rehabilitation process, he did light walking in the morning without showing any discomfort. He will continue his rehab in the hospital until he is discharged early next week.”

Abid recorded a video message from the hospital bed where he requested fans, his family members, and the media personnel to pray for success in a small medical procedure he is set to undergo today and also pray for his early recovery.

    Abid Ali said: “Thanks to the Almighty, I am fine. I am requesting all of you to pray for my health. Tomorrow I have a minor procedure and I am asking for your prayers for success in that as well.”

    The 34-year-old was rushed to the hospital yesterday after he experienced chest pain during Central Punjab’s match against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Abid underwent a series of medical tests and was kept under observation for the day. It was revealed that Abid’s condition is stable and his initial reports were clear.

    After a thorough diagnosis, it was revealed that Abid suffered from Acute Coronary Syndrome. A stent was placed in the blocked coronary artery and Abid revealed that one more stent will be placed today. The stylish opening batter will be further kept under observation after the stent has been placed.

    Meanwhile, several people from the cricket fraternity extended well wishes to the cricketer.

    Pakistan’s Test opener Abid Ali has been taken to the hospital after he suffered pain around his chest during a Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match in Karachi.

    As per reports, the 34-year-old cricketer was rushed to a hospital after he complained of chest pain during the match played at UBL Sports Complex.

    Abid Ali has undergone a number of medical examinations and is currently under observation.

    Abid is representing Central Punjab in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

    The right-arm batter helped Pakistan comfortably chase down a 202-run target to beat Bangladesh by eight wickets in the first Test in the two-match Test series. Abid, who hit 133 in the first innings, struck 12 boundaries and scored 91 off 148 deliveries in the second innings.

    He also contributed in the second Test match and bagged Player of the Series award for his outstanding performance.

    Meanwhile, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Abid is stable and presently undergoing various tests to diagnose the exact nature of the pain. He had retired hurt on 61.

    As per further details shared by PCB, he was diagnosed as a case of Acute Coronary Syndrome. He is under the care of Consultant Cardiologist who is liaising with PCB medical team regarding further treatment. He is currently stable.
