Indian influencer Dolly Singh and Hania Amir call each other ‘queen’

Hania Amir’s social media is full of photos showing her easy-dimpled smile but the actor also uses her online platform to speak up for mental health. So, when Indian actor and influencer Dolly Singh shared a post about fighting body shaming, Hania felt compelled to reshare it on her own Instagram story.

Singh, who has faced years of negative comments about her body shape, wrote a post about her struggles with weight gain and loss. She ended with a powerful message about how she had overcome unwanted judgment.

“Like most people, my weight goes up and down,” began Dolly. “Being naturally skinny, I tend to lose weight easily, and it’s hard to gain it back.”

Dolly added that she no longer worries about what others say about her weight, “I love my body in every state because it supports me. I grew up despising my body, hating every bit of it, so this…this is growth.”

Even though she’s come to terms with her body, Dolly noted that not everyone around her was as understanding, so she set boundaries for her mental well-being. “The other day, as I was about to see someone, I decided against it because I realised they’re not my safe space,” she wrote.

Dolly explained that she had distanced herself from people and places that didn’t make her feel loved and accepted. She urged her fans and followers to be the change others needed to see. “If you could do something today, try to be someone’s safe space,” she encouraged in her post. “And count your own blessings from people in your life who don’t care about the kilos fluctuating but the smiles on your face.”

Moved by Dolly’s powerful words, Hania wrote, “It takes a lot of courage to face your fears and insecurities, turn every mean comment into your armor, and try to give your community something positive out of the negativity you received. You’re a queen! Thank you for this strong message!”

Dolly Singh then reshared this on her Instagram story and wrote, “Hania you’re a queen.”

As people with large followings keep sharing positive messages against body shaming and their struggles, their message might slowly spread throughout society.

Kate had surgery in January for a health issue. She stayed in the hospital after a surgery. Kensington Palace, where she lives with Prince William, shared on January 17 that the surgery went well. They said she needed about two weeks in the hospital before going home to recover further.

  • UK Judge Rules Prince Harry Was Victim Of Phone Hacking By Mirror Group

A UK judge ruled on Friday that Prince Harry was a victim of phone hacking by journalists working for Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), and awarded the royal £140,600 ($179,600) in damages.

The decision is one in a number of legal cases brought by Harry against British media, with which the Duke of Sussex has long had a turbulent relationship. High Court Justice Timothy Fancourt ruled in favour of Harry in 15 of the 33 sample articles that the prince submitted as evidence in his lawsuit against MGN, which publishes the Mirror, Sunday Mirror and Sunday People.

He concluded that the newspapers carried out “extensive” phone hacking of celebrities between 2006 and 2011, even when a public inquiry into the conduct of the British press was ongoing.

Fancourt said Harry´s personal phone had been targeted between 2003 and 2009 and that the 15 articles were “the product of phone hacking… or the product of other unlawful information gathering”.

“I consider that his phone was only hacked to a modest extent, and that this was probably carefully controlled by certain people at each newspaper,” Fancourt said.

Prince Harry said in a statement read outside court by his lawyer that the ruling was “vindicating and affirming”. A spokesperson for MGN said: “Where historical wrongdoing took place, we apologise unreservedly, have taken full responsibility and paid appropriate compensation.”

Harry, the younger son of King Charles III, became the first British royal in over a century to take to the witness stand when he gave evidence in the trial.

The last time a royal had given evidence in court was in the 1890s, when the future king Edward VII took the stand in a slander trial. Harry, 39, accused MGN of “industrial scale” phone hacking during emotional testimony in which he relived upsetting episodes of his life.

The prince argued he had been the victim of relentless and distressing media intrusion virtually his entire life. Harry holds the media responsible for the death of his mother, Princess Diana, in a 1997 Paris car crash while she was being pursued by paparazzi.

He stood down from royal duties in early 2020 for a life in California with his American wife Meghan, in part for privacy reasons. The prince and several other claimants alleged the MGN titles engaged in “illegal information gathering”, including intercepting phone voice mails, to write dozens of stories about him.

The Duke of Sussex has launched legal action against several tabloid media groups, alongside barrages of attacks aimed at his family and the monarchy. “I´ve been told that slaying dragons will get you burned,” he said in his statement.

  • Royals made about £2 million by selling horses given as gifts

King Charles III and Queen Elizabeth II have profited almost £2 million from the sale of horses given by notable statesmen including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum of Dubai, Prince Faisal of Saudi Arabia and Qatar’s al-Thani family, The Guardian has reported.

These were private presents, Buckingham Palace has claimed.

The late Queen had a history of accepting gifts of horses; during a state visit to West Germany in 1978, she was given two horses. Questions are being raised about guidelines for royal family for accepting gifts.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the Emir of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, is by far the queen’s most benevolent supplier of racing and breeding stock. At least 34 horses presented to the royals appear to have come from him.

Estimate, who handed the queen one of her most cherished victory on the track in the 2013 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot, is said to have been among the five horses Prince Shah Karim al-Husseini, the Aga Khan, gifted to the royal family.

Elizabeth received a total of 41 horses that competed in races during the past 15 years, racing in royal colours, according to a Guardian study.

Over the past ten years, 29 of them were put up for auction in public and brought in a total of £1.93 million.

Queen Elizabeth has passed away: Here is what may happen in the next ten days

Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history, breathed her last on Thursday in Balmoral Castle, United Kingdom (UK) at the age of 96.
“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,” a display message on the official website of the Royal family reads.

“The official website of the Royal Family is temporarily unavailable while appropriate changes are made.”

    Who is the new King?

Charles, as the queen’s eldest son, inherited the sovereign title and job as head of the Commonwealth, along with other assets such as land and property.

Charles, 73, is the longest-serving heir in British history after waiting decades to get to the throne. The queen and her late husband, Prince Philip, had four children together, with him being the oldest. He became Britain’s heir apparent at age 3 when his mother succeeded to the throne at the age of 25. Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay, and Earl of Carrick are some of Charles’ titles.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were born after Charles wed Diana Spencer in 1981. William and Harry, two princes, were born to them. Charles and Diana separated in 1992. Charles wed Camilla Parker Bowles, who is now known as the Duchess of Cornwall, in 2005 after Diana passed away in 1997.

Will Camilla become the new Queen?

The title of queen is typically bestowed upon the king’s wife, but in Camilla’s case, this hasn’t always been the case.
At the time of Charles and Camilla’s wedding in 2005, it was agreed that she would be referred to as princess consort rather than queen. However, now that he is king, Charles has the option of changing this designation.

What is expected to happen in the next ten days?
    Day 1:

Charles will be officially proclaimed King. This happens at St James’s Palace in London, in front of a ceremonial body known as the Accession Council. The same day, in the afternoon, the new king will have audiences with the prime minister and cabinet, the leader of the opposition, the archbishop of Canterbury and the dean of Westminster.

    Day 2:
The Queen’s coffin will return to Buckingham Palace. Proclamations will be read in the devolved administrations. Tributes are likely to continue in parliament.

    Day 3:
In the morning, King Charles will receive the motion of condolence at Westminster Hall.
In the afternoon, he will embark on a tour of the United Kingdom, starting with a visit to the Scottish parliament and a service at St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh.

    Day 4:
King Charles will land in Northern Ireland, where he will attend a ceremony at St. Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast and receive a further motion of sympathy at Hillsborough Castle.
Rehearsals for the funeral will be taking place.

    Day 5:
On the fifth day, a procession will begin, starting at Buckingham Palace and ending at the Houses of Parliament, then a service will be held at Westminster Hall.
The Queen will then be placed on display for three days so that the public can view her coffin.

    Day 6:
On the fifth day, a procession will begin, starting at Buckingham Palace and ending at the Houses of Parliament, then a service will be held at Westminster Hall.

    Day 7:
King Charles will travel to Wales to receive another motion of condolence at the Welsh parliament and attend a service at Liandaff Cathedral in Cardiff.

    Day 08:
Prime ministers and governors general from the countries are anticipated to attend King Charles’ coronation.

    Day 09:
Charles will extend an invitation to visiting royal families from other countries the night before the funeral. VIP foreign visitors are anticipated at the lying in state.

    Day 10:
The state funeral itself will be held at Westminster Abbey.
There will be a two-minutes’ silence across the nation at midday.
Processions will take place in London and Windsor.
There will be a committal service in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, and the queen will be buried in the castle’s King George VI Memorial Chapel.
