    Respect my father’s memory: Momina Iqbal’s appeal to fans

    Momina Iqbal has asked her fans to stop sharing edited videos and pictures of her late father on social media. After her father’s passing, Momina took to Instagram to write about being upset about the edited posts.

    “Please do not edit and share any videos of my father on social media, nor tag me in such videos. This time is very difficult for me,” Momina said in her Instagram story. She explained that sharing these videos is disrespectful and very hurtful while she is grieving.

    She also said, “If you cannot do anything else, please pray for my father. I can’t even imagine that he is not in this world anymore.” Momina shared how deeply sad she is and how hard it is to believe her father is gone. She said she still feels like her father is with her all the time

    “My father can never leave me because he is with me at every moment. I can feel him, so please do not tell me where my father is,” she said, showing how connected she still feels to her late father.

    Momina’s father passed away last month.

    Controversial screenwriter Khalil ul Rehman Qamar is once again in the spotlight for his misogynist behavior towards women. At a recent panel discussion, the ‘Teri Meri Khanaiyan’ co-writer joined Sahil Adeem.

    During the show, they had a heated exchange with a female audience member who questioned their regressive views on women’s rights. At one point, Sahil Adeem claimed that 95 percent of women in Pakistan are uneducated, causing an uproar among the audience. The incident has sparked renewed controversy over their views on women’s rights in Pakistan.

    Samaa TV’s show ‘Mukalma,’ hosted by Ayesha Jahanzeb, turned into a battle ground. During the discussion, a female audience member confronted Sahil Adeem for his rude remarks about women.

    “If you have called girls ‘Jahil,’ you should apologize or show me where the Quran says to use this word for those who don’t know certain things,” she said angrily. In response, Sahil shared Arabic verses, which angered the girl. Her reaction to the use of Arabic upset Khalil ul Rehman Qamar, leading to a heated argument between him and the girl. The host eventually calmed them all down and moved on to another guest.

    A social media user shared a clip of the heated argument on her X account, calling for Khalil ul Rehman Qamar and Sahil Adeem to be banned from live television.

    “Such archaic views should be condemned and have no place in modern discourse. He must be held accountable for his irresponsible remarks,” the post said.

    Social media users praised the woman for bravely standing up to the screenwriter.

    Shehnaaz Gill, famous for being part of Big Boss, delayed a performance in respect of Namaaz. In a viral video she can be seen receiving an award for Digital Personality of Year before which the presenter asked her to sing a few lines.

    “It feels so nice. No one else deserved this award better than you. Please sing a few lines, just anything. Whatever you have in your heart, just sing those few lines. Your fans are waiting eagerly for you to sing. I have requests saying people won’t eat unless Shehnaaz sings.”

    As she heard the Azaan, Shehnaaz quickly stopped singing, stood still, and bowed her head in respect. Only once the Azaan was finished did Gill start singing again.
    “Should I sing an unreleased song,” she asked. But when told to do so, she said, “No, that cannot be. No, I will sing a song that is already out.”

    People on social media are praising the female singer turned actor for this act.
