  • Media agencies claim Kate Middleton’s recent image was manipulated

Media agencies claim Kate Middleton’s recent image was manipulated

A recently released image of Kate Middleton, issued by Kensington Palace to put all rumors about her health to rest, has ended up creating new controversies.

Various news agencies have issued notices not to use the image of Kate and her three children, including the Associated Press (AP), Reuters, Getty Images, and Agence France-Presse (AFP). All three on Sunday night withdrew it and told media outlets to “kill” the photo from their systems and archives because they believe that it has been manipulated.

The AP said the photo had been withdrawn because upon “closer inspection, it appears that the source had manipulated the image” and the photo showed an “inconsistency in the alignment” of the left hand of Kate’s daughter, Princess Charlotte.

The AFP said the image could not be used as it had been “altered” without elaborating.

Reuters said it had deleted the image “following a post-publication review”.

Kensington Palace did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The photo was posted on the royal couple’s official X account on Sunday accompanied by a caption thanking the public for their “kind wishes and continued support over the last two months” and wishing the public a Happy Mother’s Day.

The image was reportedly taken by Kate’s husband, Prince William, during the past week on the grounds of Windsor Castle just outside of London.

    Background

The release of the image, which remained online on Sunday night despite the withdrawal notices, came after Kensington Palace announced in January that Kate, 42, had been hospitalised for surgery and would take a break from official royal duties until after Easter.

The lack of details about the reasons for her surgery and her prolonged absence from the public has prompted a plethora of speculation and conspiracy theories about her condition.

Kate last appeared in public on Christmas Day while attending a church service at the royal family’s Sandringham estate.

Stating clearly that he is not leaving the party, Zaidi said that it is unfortunate that the speculations are coming from within PTI.

  • Pakistan has ample fuel stocks available: PSO denies reports of petrol, diesel shortage

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) on Friday denied all the rumours about the shortage of fuel reserves and said that there is ample stock of petroleum products in the country.

The Ministry of Energy and Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), according to the PSO spokesman, is keeping an eye on the general situation regarding product availability by other oil marketing companies to ensure that the nation’s supply chain is maintained smoothly.

He claimed that PSO would continue to supply the nation with petroleum products on an uninterrupted basis, that there is enough gasoline and diesel in the country, and that 80,000MT and 90,000MT, respectively, of each have arrived at Karachi Port.

According to the OGRA spokesperson, local oil marketing firms and refineries are also working to meet the demand for petroleum products.

The Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) requested last week that the federal government step in right away to guarantee the prompt issuing of lines of credit to import petroleum products in order to prevent a fuel scarcity in the nation.

On behalf of oil marketing companies (OMCs) and refineries, the OCAC sent a letter outlining the difficulties resulting from the opening of letters of credit (LCs) for the import of petroleum products being delayed.

There haven’t been many oil shipment cancellations as a result of the LCs being closed.

Mogas, High-Speed Diesel (HSD), and 650,000 MT of crude oil must all be imported into Pakistan on a monthly basis for a total cost of about $1.3 billion.

  • Musaddiq Malek lashes out at Feroze Khan for being problematic on the sets of ‘Habs’

Musaddiq Malek lashes out at Feroze Khan for being problematic on the sets of ‘Habs’

Actor and director Musaddiq Malek has finally opened up about sharing a post on social media against his ‘Habs’ leading man Feroze Khan, amid his domestic abuse controversy.

The Merey Paas Tum Ho star recently spoke to Something Haute where he was asked about his ‘harsh’ post about Feroze, an alleged domestic abuser.

In his post he wrote, “A team of 40 people worked day and night for 100+ days to put up a show with literally blood and sweat, can’t let some ignorant, self-centered, egoistic man ruin that for all of us.”

To this, he replied, “It was my decision to post because domestic abuse is close to me, my aunty was killed by my uncle, so if anyone is involved in even a little abuse, it is a very big thing for me.”

The Habs director further said, “Working with Feroze Khan was a little tough because there were commitments from his side which were not transparent, and he misdirected the team, apart from many occasions where he tried to double-cross me.”

He went on to say that Feroze also tried to meddle with the director’s job, and on numerous occasions, he cried when it wasn’t necessary.

During the interview, he also revealed things about actors and their attitudes toward directors.

“I want to tell people that an actor’s job is a serious job, but which many actors do not take seriously,” he said. “In Hollywood, the actors come to pick the directors, however, in Pakistan, the director has to pamper the actor, then the actor says, ‘I will come to do your scene’. It’s not my scene it’s what you are paid for.”

Former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq says he did not suffer a heart attack

Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Inzamam-ul-Huq has clarified that he did not suffer a heart attack, as widely reported by the media.

Inzamam, in a video message, thanked all the people across the world who had prayed for him — fans, former and current cricketers, and commentators.

“It felt very nice being remembered, so I wanted to thank everyone,” he said.

The former batsman said that he did not suffer a heart attack; he had gone to the doctor for a “routine checkup”.

“They recommended an angioplasty and during the procedure, they said my artery is blocked and a stent is needed,” he explained.

Inzamam said he gave his go-ahead, and then a procedure was done, which was a success and he is alright now.

He said he stayed at the hospital for 12 hours and is now home.

The batsman urged everyone to immediately go to the doctor whenever they suspect anything wrong with their health.

“The doctors told me that had I delayed going in, I could have suffered damage,” he said.

Inzamam’s manager had earlier today said that he had been discharged from the hospital after undergoing successful angioplasty surgery at a Lahore hospital.

Following the news of his illness, Sachin Tendulkar, Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Shoaib Malik, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, Hassan Ali and others had wished Inzi a speedy recovery.

  • North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un reportedly dead after botched heart surgery

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un reportedly dead after botched heart surgery

North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un has died, or is on his death bed with no hope for recuperation, multiple Chinese and Japanese media outlets have reported.

As per the details, a vice director of Hong Kong Satellite Television (HKSTV) — a Beijing-backed broadcast network in Hong Kong — claimed that Kim was dead, citing a “very solid source”. Her post on the Chinese messaging app Weibo has been shared widely on social media, according to a report in the International Business Times.

The claim comes hours after a Japanese magazine reported that the North Korean dictator was in a “vegetative state” ever since he underwent heart surgery earlier this month.

Other unconfirmed reports, attributed to senior party sources in Beijing, said an operation to insert a stent went wrong because the surgeon’s hands were shaking so badly.

The weekly Shukan Gendai reported Friday that a Chinese medic sent to North Korea as part of a team to treat Kim believed a delay in a simple procedure left the leader severely ill, Reuters reported.

A Chinese expert told the magazine that Kim, believed to be 36, clutched his chest and fell to the ground on a visit to the countryside earlier this month. A doctor accompanying Kim performed CPR and took him to a nearby hospital.

North Korean media hasn’t mentioned Kim’s health or whereabouts, even though reports by foreign media outlets have sparked international speculation about his well-being.

The hashtag #KimJongUndead continues to trend on Twitter without any proof of the leader’s death.

According to Independent, if rumours of Kim’s health are true, his sister, Kim Yo-jong, will emerge as the custodian of power in North Korea.

She is the youngest daughter of former supreme leader Kim Jong-il and an alternate member of the politburo — principal policymaking committee. Yo-jong is also the vice director of the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
